AIM:To propose an algorithm for automatic detection of diabetic retinopathy(DR)lesions based on ultra-widefield scanning laser ophthalmoscopy(SLO).METHODS:The algorithm utilized the FasterRCNN(Faster Regions with CNN features)+ResNet50(Residua Network 50)+FPN(Feature Pyramid Networks)method for detecting hemorrhagic spots,cotton wool spots,exudates,and microaneurysms in DR ultra-widefield *** segmentation combined with a deeper residual network FasterRCNN+ResNet50 was employed for feature extraction to enhance intelligent learning *** fusion was carried out by the feature pyramid network FPN,which significantly improved lesion detection rates in SLO fundus ***:By analyzing 1076 ultra-widefield SLO images provided by our hospital,with a resolution of 2600×2048 dpi,the accuracy rates for hemorrhagic spots,cotton wool spots,exudates,and microaneurysms were found to be 87.23%,83.57%,86.75%,and 54.94%,***:The proposed algorithm demonstrates intelligent detection of DR lesions in ultra-widefield SLO,providing significant advantages over traditional fundus color imaging intelligent diagnosis algorithms.

We report port site and distant metastases of unsuspected gallbladder cancer after laparoscopic cholecystectomy diagnosed by positron emission tomography （PET） in two patients. Patient 1, a 72-yearold woman was diagnosed as cholelithiasis and cholecystitis and received laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Unsuspected gallbladder cancer was discovered with histological result of well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder infiltrating the entire wall. A PET scan using F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose （FDG- PET） before radical resection revealed residual tumor in the gallbladder fossa and recurrence at port site and metastases in bilateral hilar lymph nodes. Patient 2, a 69-year-old woman underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy more than one year ago with pathologically confirmed unsuspected adenosquamous carcinoma of stage pTlb. At 7-mo follow-up after surgery, the patient presented with nodules in the periumbilical incision. Excisional biopsy of the nodule revealed adenosquamous carcinoma. The patient was examined by FDG-PET, demonstrating increased FDG uptake in the right lobe of the liver and mediastinal lymph nodes consistent with metastatic disease. This report is followed by a discussion about the utility of FDG-PET in the gallbladder cancer.

AIM： To investigate the effect of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy （3-DCRT） in combination with FOLFOX4 chemotherapy for unresectable recurrent rectal cancer. METHODS： Forty-eight patients with unresectable recurrent rectal cancer were randomized and treated by 3-DCRT or 3-DCRT combined with FOLFOX4 chemotherapy between September 2001 and October 2003. For the patients without prior radiation history, the initial radiation was given to the whole pelvis by traditional methods with tumor dose of 40 Gy, followed by 3-DCRT for the recurrent lesions to the median total cumulative tumor dose of 60 Gy （range 56-66 Gy）; for the post-radiation recurrent patients, 3-DCRT was directly given for the recurrent lesions to the median tumor dose of 40 Gy （36-46 Gy）. For patients in the study group, two cycles chemotherapy with FOLFOX4 regimen were given concurrently with radiotherapy, with the first cycle given simultaneously with the initiation of radiation and the second cycle given in the fifth week for patients receiving conventional pelvis radiation or given in the last week of 3-DCRT for patients receiving 3-DCRT directly. Another 2-4 cycles （average 3.6 cycles） sequential FOLFOX4 regimen chemotherapy were given to the patients in the study group, beginning at 2-3 wk after chemoradiation. The outcomes of symptoms relieve, tumor response, survival and toxicity were recorded and compared between the study group and the control group. RESULTS： For the study group and the control group, the pain-alleviation rates were 95.2% and 91.3%（P〉 0.05）; the overall response rates were 56.5% and 40.0% （P〉0.05）; the 1-year and 2-year survival rates were 86.9%, 50.2% and 80.0%, 23.9%, with median survival time of 25 mo and 16 mo （P〈 0.05）; the 2-year distant metastasis rates were 39.1% and 56.0% （P= 0.054）, respectively. AIM: To assess the efficacy and toxicity of conformal radiotherapy (CRT) and compare with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) in the treatment of gallbladder cancer. METHODS: Between November 2003 and January 2010, 20 patients with gallbladder cancer were treated with CRT with or without chemotherapy after surgical resection. Preliminary survival data were collected and examined using both Kaplan-Meier and actuarial analysis. Demographic and treatment parameters were collected. All patients were planned to receive 46-56 Gy in 1.8 or 2.0 Gy per fraction. CRT planning was compared with IMRT. RESULTS: The most common reported acute toxicities requiring medication (Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group Grade 2) were nausea (10/20 patients) and diarrhea (3/20). There were no treatment-related deaths. Compared with CRT planning, IMRT significantly reduced the volume of right kidney receiving > 20 Gy and the volume of liver receiving > 30 Gy. IMRT has a negligible impact on the volume of left kidney receiving > 20 Gy. The 95% of prescribed dose for a planning tumor volume using either 3D CRT or IMRT planning were 84.0% ± 6.7%, 82.9% ± 6.1%, respectively (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: IMRT achieves similar excellent target coverage as compared with CRT planning, while reducing the mean liver dose and volume above threshold dose. IMRT offers better sparing of the right kidney compared with CRT planning, with a significantly lower mean dose and volume above threshold dose.

The closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean was a significant geological event in northern Pangea during the *** had a significant effect on climate,biota,and environmental conditions of the Late Paleozoic Ice Age,and resulted in the development of vast energy *** paper reports on the first discovery of marine red algal fossils in the Junggar Basin and its linkage to hydrocarbon *** algae occur mainly in the Fengcheng Formation(ca.300 Ma)and provide direct fossil evidence for closure of the Paleo-Asian *** red algal fossils contain well-preserved reproductive organs,such as cystocarps and *** concentrations of C_(27) steranes(C_(27) regular steranes/sum of C_(27)-C_(29) regular steranes×100=14.30%-21.30%)and the marine biomarker 24-n-propylcholesterane(C_(30) diasterane[βα20S]/sum of C_(27)-C_(30) diasteranes[βα20S]×100=1.15%-1.85%)were detected in the red-algae-bearing hydrocarbon source *** experiments that simulate hydrocarbon generation show that the oil generation potential of the red-algae-bearing source rocks is 363.71 mg g^(-1) total organic *** result,combined with oil-source rock correlations,indicates these rocks contributed to the formation of oil and gas resources,particularly in the marginal areas of the *** lake basin inherited the water and biological conditions of the Paleo-Asian Ocean during a marine regression,which was an important factor in the development of these high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks in an alkaline saline *** results advance our understanding of the evolution of the Paleo-Asian Ocean,interactions between the ocean and a lake during the deposition of terrestrial hydrocarbon source rocks,and whether red algae can effectively generate hydrocarbons.

Effective fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control method for aeronautics electromechanical actuator is concerned in this *** borrowing the advantages of model-driven and data-driven methods,a fault tolerant nonsingular terminal sliding mode control method based on support vector machine(SVM)is proposed.A SVM is designed to estimate the fault by off-line learning from small sample data with solving convex quadratic programming method and is introduced into a high-gain observer,so as to improve the state estimation and fault detection accuracy when the fault *** state estimation value of the observer is used for state reconfiguration.A novel nonsingular terminal sliding mode surface is designed,and Lyapunov theorem is used to derive a parameter adaptation law and a control *** is guaranteed that the proposed controller can achieve asymptotical stability which is superior to many advanced fault-tolerant *** addition,the parameter estimation also can help to diagnose the system faults because the faults can be reflected by the parameters *** comparative simulation and experimental results illustrate the effectiveness and advancement of the proposed controller compared with several other main-stream controllers.

Ultra-high nickel layered oxide cathode material with high energy density is the most promising material to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the poor structural stability and severe surface/interface side reactions of the material lead to poor rate performance and cyclic stability,which limits its application in *** this paper,the dual-modification strategy of Co doping and La_(2)O_(3) coating is used to meet the above *** doping can effectively widen layer spacing and reduce Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) mixing,and La_(2)O_(3) coating can effectively eliminate the residual alkali on the surface of active material,inhibit the thickening of cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI)film and reduce surface/interface side ***,the modified material(NM90-CL)with excellent electrochemical properties is achieved through the synergistic enhancement of Co doping and La_(2)O_(3) *** capacity retention rate can reach 77.9%after 200 cycles at 1.0℃ and 75.7%after 200 cycles at 5.0℃.Its reversible capacity can up to 153.5 mAh·g^(–1) at 10.0℃.This dual-modification strategy will provide theoretical guidance and technical support for the synthesis of other high-performance electrode materials.

Preparing antioxidant coatings to address the inherent oxidation sensitivity of carbon fiber-reinforced carbon aerogel(C/CA)composites is a feasible way to promote their application in oxidizing environments as thermal insulation ***,preparing the coatings with excellent oxidation and ablation resistance while avoiding evident damage to the C/CA substrate still remains a ***,a SiC@SiO_(2)nanowire-toughened ZrB2–SiC/SiC bilayer coating with a large thickness of 500μm was prepared on C/CA using a one-step low-temperature reaction sintering method,which simultaneously formed a sintered outer layer with even-distributed nanowires and a siliconized gradient inner *** courtesy of the synergic thermal response of the layers and the crack deflection induced by the nanowires,the resulting coating has moderate residual compressive stress of 0.08–1.22 GPa in the interface,high interfacial bonding strength of 6.02 MPa,and good fracture toughness of 4.36 MPa·m^(1/2).Benefited from the optimum components and improved structure,the coating shows excellent cyclic ablation resistance with linear ablation rates of 0.1μm/s at 1650℃for 1500 s(300 s×5 cycles)and 0.4μm/s at 1850℃for 900 s(300 s×3 cycles).The one-step preparation strategy contributes to little damage to the substrate,thus showing the well-preserved mechanical and thermal insulation properties.

Multi-scenario Simulation of the Impact of Land Use Change on the Ecosystem Service Value in the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou Metropolitan Area,China

As the most economically developed metropolitan area in China’s Yangtze River Delta,the rapid changing land use patterns of Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou(Su-Xi-Chang) metropolitan area have profound impacts on the ecosystem service value(ESV).Based on the patterns of land use change and the ESV change in Su-Xi-Chang metropolitan area from 2000 to 2020,we set up four scenarios:natural development scenario,urban development scenario,arable land protection scenario and ecological protection scenario,and simulated the impact of land use changes on the ESV in these *** results showed that:1) the area of built-up land in the Su-XiChang metropolitan area increased significantly from 2000 to 2020,and the area of other types of land *** land underwent the highest transfer-out area,and was primarily converted into built-up *** total ESV of Su-Xi-Chang metropolitan area increased initially then declined from 2000–2020,and the value of almost all individual ecosystem services decreased.2) Population density,GDP per area,night lighting intensity,and road network density can negatively impact the ESV.3) The total ESV loss under the natural development and urban development scenarios was high,and the expansion of the built-up land and the drastic shrinkage of the arable land contributed to the ESV decline under both *** total ESV under arable land protection and ecological protection scenarios increases,and therefore these scenarios are suitable for future land use optimization in *** study could provide a certain reference for land use planning and allocation,and offer guidance for the rational allocation of land resources.

The welding arc,as a carrier for the conversion of electrical energy to thermal energy,has a direct impact on the quality of welding by its properties and *** the tungsten inert gas(TIG)welding process under the condition of Ar-He alternating gas supply,the arc is alternately converted between Ar arc and He arc with an alternating gas supply cycle,which has obvious arc change *** FLUENT software was used to numerically simulate the characteristics of the TIG arc under the condition of alternating gas supply,and the arc temperature field,arc pressure,electric potential and current density distribution under the condition of alternating gas supply were *** with the real-time data of arc pressure measured by the water-cooled copper plate with holes,it is proved that the TIG arc has obvious dynamic characteristics under the condition of Ar-He alternating gas *** unique dynamic TIG arc acts on the 5A06 aluminum alloy weld,causing the molten pool to stir,resulting in uniform microstructure and grain refinement at the weld,and thereby improving the mechanical properties of the welded joint.
