AIM:To directly quantify peroxynitrite(ONOO-)using a highly sensitive fluorescence resonance energy transfer probe RN-NA,investigate the association between ONOOand primary open angle glaucoma(POAG),and clarify whether RN-NA could be used as a potential tool for POAG ***:Plasma and aqueous humor(AH)samples were collected from POAG patients(n=100,age:59.70±6.87y)and age-related cataract(ARC)patients(n=100,age:61.15±4.60y)admitted to our ***,RN-NA was used to detect ONOO-in plasma and AH samples,and the relationship between ONOO-level and POAG was analyzed using binary logistic ***,Pearson correlation analysis was applied to characterize the correlation of the levels of ONOO-with the patients’age,intraocular pressure(IOP),and mean deviation of visual field *** ONOO-scavenger MnTMPyP was employed to treat the 3-morpholinosyndnomine(SIN-1)-induced ocular hypertension in mice(n=7,6-8wk).Finally,the IOP and ONOO-in both eyes were measured 30min after the last drug ***:ONOO-levels of AH and plasma were significantly higher in the POAG group than in the ARC group(P<0.01).Additionally,ONOO-levels were closely correlated with POAG in a binary logistic regression analysis[odds ratio(OR)=1.008,95%confidence interval(CI):1.002-1.013,P<0.01 for AH;OR=1.004,95%CI:1.002-1.006,P<0.001 for plasma].Pearson correlation analysis showed that ONOO-levels in AH or plasma were positively associated with visual field defects(R=0.51,P<0.01 for AH;R=0.45,P<0.001 for plasma),and ONOO-levels in plasma and AH were correlated in the POAG group(R=0.69,P<0.001).However,administering MnTMPyP to mouse eyes reversed the elevated IOP caused by SIN-1(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:ONOO-levels in AH and plasma,detected by RN-NA,are significantly related to POAG and positively correlated with visual field defects in POAG ***,ONOO-is a potential biomarker of POAG,especially advanced ***,anti-nitration compounds may be novel ocular hypotens

Soil microbial carbon metabolism is critical in wetland soil carbon cycling,and is also a research hotspot at ***,most studies focus on the surface soil layer in the wetlands and the microorganisms associated with this *** this study,0-75 cm soil profiles were collected from five widely separated reed wetlands in the Songnen Plain,which has a large number of middle-high latitude inland saline-sodic *** Biolog-ECO method was used to determine the carbon metabolic activity and functional diversity of soil *** results showed that soil carbon metabolic activity decreased with increasing soil *** carbon metabolic activity of soil microorganisms in the 60-75 cm layer was approximately 57.41%-74.60%of that in the 0-15 cm *** soil microbial Shannon index and utilization rate of amines decreased with an increase in soil depth,while the Evenness index and utilization rate of polymers tended to increase with soil *** organic carbon(DOC)is the most important factor affecting microbial carbon source utilization preference,because microorganisms mainly obtain the carbon source from *** result of the correlation analysis showed that the soil microbial carbon metabolic activity,Shannon index,and Evenness index significantly correlated with soil total carbon(TC),microbial biomass carbon(MBC),DOC,total nitrogen(TN),ammonium nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N),nitrate nitrogen(NO_(3)_(−)-N)contents,and electrical conductivity(EC).This study emphasized the important role of microbial carbon metabolic function in deep soil.

In this paper two dimensional elliptic interface problem with imperfect contact is considered,which is featured by the implicit jump condition imposed on the imperfect contact interface,and the jumping quantity of the unknown is related to the flux across the interface.A finite difference method is constructed for the 2D elliptic interface problems with straight and curve interface ***,the stability and convergence analysis are given for the constructed ***,in particular case,it is proved to be *** examples for elliptic interface problems with straight and curve interface shapes are tested to verify the performance of the *** numerical results demonstrate that it obtains approximately second-order accuracy for elliptic interface equations with implicit jump condition.

BACKGROUND Triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index values are a new surrogate marker for insulin *** study aimed to explore the relationship between cumulative TyG index values and atrial fibrillation(AF)recurrence after radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA).METHODS A total of 576 patients with AF who underwent RFCA at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an jiaotong University were included in this *** participants were grouped based on cumulative TyG index values tertiles within 3 months after *** regression and restricted cubic spline analyses were used to determine the relationship between cumulative TyG index values and AF *** predictive value of all risk factors was assessed by receiver operating curve *** There were 375 patients completed the study(age:63.23±10.73 years,64.27%male).The risk of AF recurrence increased with increasing cumulative TyG index values *** adjusting for potential confounders,patients in the medium cumulative TyG index group[hazard ratio(HR)=4.949,95%CI:1.778–13.778,P=0.002]and the high cumulative TyG index group(HR=8.716,95%CI:3.371–22.536,P<0.001)had a higher risk of AF recurrence than those in the low cumulative TyG index *** restricted cubic spline regression model also showed an increased risk of AF recurrence with increasing cumulative TyG index *** considering cumulative TyG index values,left atrial diameter,and lactate dehydrogenase levels as a comprehensive factor,the model could effectively predict AF recurrence after RFCA[area under the curve(AUC)=0.847,95%CI:0.797–0.897,P<0.001].CONCLUSIONS Cumulative TyG index values were a risk factor for AF recurrence after *** longitudinal TyG index values may assist with optimized for risk stratification and outcome prediction for AF recurrence.

A promising method for the preparation of pure metallic vanadium via V_(2)CO anode electrolysis was proposed and *** simple and controllable synthesis of a molten chloride salt containing VCl_(2) by an insitu reaction between VCl_(3) and metallic vanadium was verified through thermodynamic analysis and ***-KCl-VCl_(2) molten salt exhibited excellent recycling performance and could be repetitively used to prepare metallic vanadium by V_(2)CO *** V^(2+) ions remained in the molten salt after *** electrolysis conditions,such as the cathode diameter,current density,V^(2+) ion concentration,and temperature,were optimised to maximise the current *** was also simulated to reveal the regulatory *** highest current efficiency was 85%.The purity of metallic vanadium was up to 99.8%.In this study,an easy and efficient preparation of pure metallic vanadium was achieved.

Polymer density-functional theories(PDFTs)have distinct advantages in the study of polyelectrolyte(PE)systems over experiments and molecular *** we give an introductory review of some PDFTs recently developed for PE *** start with a general formalism of PDFTs and its relation to the widely used polymer self-consistent field theory(SCFT),then explain the various correlations that are neglected in SCFT but can be accounted for in PDFTs,including those due to the excluded-volume interaction and chain connectivity of uncharged polymers,the electrostatic correlations of small ions,and the chain correlations in *** also list some applications of PDFTs for PE systems,and finally give some perspectives on future *** hope that our review can attract more researchers to apply and further develop PDFTs as a promising class of theoretical and computational tools.

A total of 45 alkylbenzenes were detected and identified in crude oils with different depositional environments and thermal maturities from the Tarim Basin,Beibuwan Basin,and Songliao Basin using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC×GCTOFMS).By analyzing the distribution characteristics of C0-C5alkylbenzenes,it is found that the content of some alkylbenzenes varies greatly in crude *** on the distribution characteristics of 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene(Te MB)and 1,2,3,4-Te MB,the ratio of 1,2,4,5-Te MB to 1,2,3,4-Te MB is proposed to indicate the organic matter origin and depositional environment of ancient *** samples originated mainly from lower hydrobiont,algae,bacteria and source rocks deposited under reducing/anoxic conditions have low 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB values(less than 0.6),while oil samples originated mainly from terrestrial higher plants and source rocks deposited under oxic/sub-oxic conditions have higher 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB values(greater than 1.0).The significant difference of 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB values is controlled by 1,2,4,5-Te MB content.1,2,4,5-Te MB content in oils derived from source rocks deposited in oxidized sedimentary environment(greater than 1.0 mg/g whole oil)is higher than that in oils from source rocks deposited in reduced sedimentary environment(less than 1.0 mg/g whole oil).1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB ratio might not or slightly be affected by evaporative fractionation,biodegradation and thermal maturity.1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB ratio and 1,2,4,5-Te MB content can be used as supplementary parameter for the identification of sedimentary environment and organic matter *** should be noted that compared to the identification of organic matter sources,the 1,2,4,5-/1,2,3,4-Te MB parameter is more effective in identifying sedimentary environments.

Ground-based tests are important for studying hypervelocity impact(HVI)damage to spacecraft pressure vessels in the orbital debris *** analyzed the damage to composite overwrapped pressure vessels(COPVs)in the HVI tests and classified the damage into non-catastrophic damage and catastrophic *** proposed a numerical simulation method to further study non-catastrophic damage and revealed the characteristics and mechanisms of non-catastrophic damage affected by impact conditions and internal *** fragments of the catastrophically damaged COPVs were collected after the *** crack distribution and propagation process of the catastrophic ruptures of the COPVs were *** findings contribute to understanding the damage characteristics and mechanisms of COPVs by HVIs.
