Cerebrovascular endothelial dysfunction is involved in the progression of leukoaraiosis. Asymmetric dimethylarginine is a competitive inhibitor of nitric oxide, which is highly expressed in patients with leukoaraiosis. Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase(DDAH) is a hydrolytic enzyme that is primarily responsible for eliminating asymmetric dimethylarginine, and it plays a role in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The DDAH2 subtype is expressed in organs rich in induced nitric oxide synthase, including the heart, the placenta, and the cerebral endothelium during cerebral ischemia, in the stress state, or under neurotoxicity. Overexpression of the DDAH2 gene can inhibit asymmetric dimethylarginine-induced peripheral circulating endothelial cell dysfunction. However, it is unknown whether this polymorphism regulates plasma asymmetric dimethylarginine levels in patients with leukoaraiosis. In this doubleblind study, we recruited 46 patients with leukoaraiosis and 46 healthy, matched controls. Plasma asymmetric dimethylarginine levels were determined using enzyme-linked immunoassays. Genomic DNA was isolated from whole blood samples, and polymerase chain reaction, Sma I restriction enzyme digestion, restriction fragment length polymorphisms, and agarose electrophoresis were used to detect DDAH2(-449 G/C) gene polymorphisms. The results revealed that 95.65% of leukoaraiosis patients had recessive genetic models(GG and CG), while 89.13% of healthy control subjects had dominant genetic models(CC and CG). There was a significant difference in the genotype composition ratio between leukoaraiosis patients and healthy controls(P = 0.0002). The frequency of G alleles in the leukoaraiosis patients(71.74%) was significantly higher than in healthy controls, whereas the frequency of C alleles was lower(χ~2 = 13.9580, P = 0.0002). we report n Bn photodetectors based on In As0.91 Sb0.09 with a 100% cut-off wavelength of 4.75 μm at 300 K. The band of an n Bn detector is similar to that of a standard pin detector, but there is special wide bandgap Al As0.08 Sb0.92 barrier layer in the n Bn detector, in which the depletion region of n Bn detector exists. The n Bn design has many advantages, such as low dark current and high quantum efficiency, because the n Bn design can suppress the generation–recombination(GR)current that is the main composition of standard pin detector dark current. The constant slope of the Arrhenius plot of J0–1/T indicates the absence of the generation–recombination dark current. We fabricate an n Bn detector with a quantum efficiency(QE) maximum of ~ 60% under-0.2-V bias voltage. The In As Sb n Bn detectors may be a competitive candidate for midwavelength infrared detector.

Dickeya fangzhongdai, the causal agent of bleeding canker of pear, is a new member of the Dickeya genus and the only one that infects woody plants. Recent studies have reclassified several Dickeya isolates as D. fangzhongdai, which were isolated from various environments, including water, Phalaenopsis sp. and Aglaonema sp. To provide genomic characterization of D. fangzhongdai isolates from pear, the genomes of D. fangzhongdai strain JS5(=China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center, CGMCC 1.15464 ~T=DSM 101947 ~T), along with two other isolates, LN1 and QZH3, were sequenced and compared to those of other Dickeya spp. Homology greater than 99% was observed among three D. fangzhongdai strains. Plasmid, type IV secretion system(T4 SS) and type IV pili(TFPs) were found in genomes of D. fangzhongdai isolates. Comparative analysis of the type Ⅲ secretion systems(T3 SS), type Ⅲ secretion effectors(T3 SE), plant cell wall degradation enzymes(PCWDE) and membrane transport proteins of Dickeya spp. showed some differences which might reflect the variations of virulence, phylogenetic and phenotypic characteristics of Dickeya spp. In addition, deletion mutant of TFP in D. fangzhongdai JS5 showed no twitching motility and reduced virulence and biofilm formation. The fingdings of the distinctive plasmid, T4 SS and TFPs, as well as the differences of T3 SE, PCWDE and membrane transport proteins make D. fangzhongdai isolates unique. These results also suggested that acquisition of virulence genes by horizontal gene transfer might play some role in the genetic variation of D. fangzhongdai.

The eight-band κ·p model is used to establish the energy band structure model of the type-II InAs/GaSb superlattice detectors with a cut-off wavelength of 10.5μm,and the best composition of M-structure in this type of device is calculated *** addition,we have also experimented on the devices designed with the best performance to investigate the effect of the active region p-type doping temperature on the quantum efficiency of the *** results show that the modest active region doping temperature(Be:760℃)can improve the quantum efficiency of the device with the best performance,while excessive doping(Be:>760℃)is not conducive to improving the photo *** the best designed structure and an appropriate doping concentration,a maximum quantum efficiency of 45% is achieved with a resistance-area product of 688?·cm^2,corresponding to a maximum detectivity of 7.35×10^11cm·Hz^1/2/W.

Background:Inhaled corticosteroids (ICSs) for treating asthma are controversial because of their negative effects on the growth of asthmatic children and without clearly defined withdrawal strategy.A 2-year ICS step-down and withdrawal strategy has been developed for asthmatic children receiving 3-year subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT).Methods:Eleven children were included into the SCIT group and 13 children into the ICS *** were discontinued when children met the following criteria:requiring only 1 puff per day,with good control,for at least 6 months;having a forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1)/forced vital capacity ≥80%;and SCIT discontinued for ≥24 *** main endpoints were the results of both the childhood asthma control test (C-CAT) and the methacholine bronchial provocation ***:In the SCIT group,all the 11 children had ICS discontinued,with one child developed asthma attack after pneumonia and received ICS again after completion of *** the ICS group,five children discontinued ICS and developed asthma attacks later and received ICS again;the other eight children developed severe symptoms during ICS ***,the discontinuation of ICS was only achieved in the SCIT *** dose of methacholine that caused a decrease of 20% in FEV1 continued to improve after discontinuation of ICS for the SCIT group and presented better results than the ICS group (P=-0.050).After completion of SCIT,the C-CAT had improved significantly after 30 months of treatment compared with the ICS group (P<0.05).Conclusion:In the present study,we developed a 2-year step-down and withdrawal strategy from ICSs strategy for allergic asthma children receiving SCIT;the strategy was efficacious and safe.

Two-dimensional metal–organic frameworks(2D MOFs),as a new type of 2D materials,have been widely applied in various applications because of their unique structures and exposed active ***,we reported two low-cost 2D MOFs constructed by a raw chemical succinic acid(SA),M-SA(M=Ni or Co),which served as efficient photocatalysts for the reduction of CO_(2)to *** advantage of the thinness and open metal sites,the ultrathin Ni-SA nanosheets(ca.3.6 nm)exhibited excellent CO production of 6.96(7)mmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1)and CO selectivity of 96.6%.Photoelectrochemical tests and theoretical calculations further confirmed the higher charge transfer efficiency and unsaturated metal sites for promoting photocatalytic *** importantly,Ni-SA can also be synthesized in large-scale by an energy-saving method under room temperature,strongly suggesting its promising future and potential for practical applications.
