Scar formation resulting from burns or severe trauma can significantly compromise the structural integrity of skin and lead to permanent loss of skin appendages,ultimately impairing its normal physiological *** evidence underscores the potential of targeted modulation of mechanical cues to enhance skin regeneration,promoting scarless repair by influencing the extracellular microenvironment and driving the phenotypic *** field of skin repair and skin appendage regeneration has witnessed remarkable advancements in the utilization of biomaterials with distinct physical ***,a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms remains somewhat elusive,limiting the broader application of these *** this review,we present two promising biomaterial-based mechanical approaches aimed at bolstering the regenerative capacity of compromised *** first approach involves leveraging biomaterials with specific biophysical properties to create an optimal scarless environment that supports cellular activities essential for *** second approach centers on harnessing mechanical forces exerted by biomaterials to enhance cellular plasticity,facilitating efficient cellular reprogramming and,consequently,promoting the regeneration of skin *** summary,the manipulation of mechanical cues using biomaterial-based strategies holds significant promise as a supplementary approach for achieving scarless wound healing,coupled with the restoration of multiple skin appendage functions.

Localization has become an indispensable function of modern cellular communication systems [1]. In a cloud radio access network(C-RAN), the remote radio head(RRH) is the actual signal transmitter, whose location can assist in wireless network layout optimization and wireless resource management. The measurement of the RRH location can only be done manually on-site due to the lack of global positioning systems(GPS) at the RRH side, which is thus not a cost-effective solution for the widely used C-RAN with a large number of RRH units.

Revealing the factors that affect the vibrational frequency of Stark probe at interface is a pre-requirement for evaluating the absolute interfacial electric *** using surface-enhanced infrared absorption(SEIRA) spectroscopy,attenuated total reflection (ATR) spectroscopy and molecular dynamics (MD),we reveal the assembled C≡N at gold nanofilm exhibits a reduced Stark tuning rate (STR) referring to the vibrational frequency shift in response to electric field comparing with the bulk which was regulated by the electron transfer between S and *** findings lead to a deeper understanding of the vibrational Stark effect at the interface and provide guidance for improving the interface electric field theory.

Perfluoroalkyl acid analogs(PFAAs)are a class of chemically stable environmentally persistent organic pollutants(POPs)that are difficult to degrade and have a strong capacity to accumulate in the human *** have been found to be biotoxic to humans and have been detected in various environmental media,especially in the cryosphere at trace *** cryosphere,sensitively responds to climate change,plays a crucial role in the global water,carbon and energy ***,researches on cryosphere PFAAs especially in Tibetan Plateau(TP)is ***,we summarize the physicochemical properties,physiological toxicity,spatiotemporal distribution,sources,diffusion and migration pathways,as well as analysis and removal methods of PFAAs in the cryosphere *** results show that PFAAs pollutants are mainly produced and distributed in the more economically developed countries in Europe and the United States,as well as in East Asia,and PFAAs can be transported by atmospheric circulation and water cycle to remote regions including cryosphere *** current detection methods for PFAAs in cryosphere need to be further refined for increased accuracy and *** is also a need to develop more effective removal methods that will reduce the environmental and human threats posed by these ***,we propose key scientific questions for future research in cryosphere including PFAAs redistribution influenced by cryosphere changes,human activities,and the interaction of other spheres.

Oxidative stress that is induced by excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) is considered to be a key pathophysiological mechanism of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and restoring redox homeostasis in the inflammatory region by eliminating ROS is an effective way to treat IBD. Herein, ultrasmall Au25 nanoclusters (Au25 NCs) were synthesized using a simple improved protocol, which has good physiological stability and biosafety and can be noninvasively monitored by clinical computed tomography (CT) after oral administration. Au25 NCs can eliminate ROS such as ABTS radicals, superoxide free radicals (•O2−), and hydroxyl free radicals (•OH), upregulate the expression level of antioxidant enzymes, inhibit the expression of proinflammatory cytokines, and finally interrupt the inflammatory circuit of IBD to achieve the effective prevention and delayed treatment of IBD. This work will demonstrate the protective effect of Au25 NCs on IBD in living animals, which suggests a new nanomedicine strategy for IBD treatment. © 2022

A High-Resolution Calibration Method for Time-to-Digital Converter of lidar

High-resolution time-to-digital converter(TDC) finds major applications in light detection and ranging(lidar) systems as one of the high precision time measuring techniques. In this work, a high-resolution TDC is designed and implemented on a Xilinx field-programmable gate array(FPGA) board. For precision time measurements, the proposed TDC uses an internal tapped delay chain written in Verilog. The TDC circuit measurement errors are examined and calibrated following several principles of error reduction techniques to meet the specific demand for the high-precision lidar range. Experiments have shown that the suggested calibration TDC has higher performance, achieving sub-35 ps resolution. The design is fully customizable and implemented as a set of separate intellectual property cores. This allows for easy implementation and meets the requirements of the present-day pulse lidar systems.

Mechanical ventilation is a specialized oxygen therapy and life support technology with significant importance for critically ill patients. In fact, 40%–66% of patients in the intensive care unit(ICU) require mechanical ventilation.^([1,2]) However, the mechanical ventilation can lead to ventilatorassociated lung injury(VAli),^([3]) ultimately resulting in difficulties in weaning from mechanical ventilation,prolonged hospital stays, and even increased mortality.

Dear Editor,This letter investigates predefined-time optimization problems(OPs) of multi-agent systems(MASs), where the agent of MASs is subject to inequality constraints, and the team objective function accounts for impulse effects. Firstly, to address the inequality constraints,the penalty method is introduced. Then, a novel optimization strategy is developed, which only requires that the team objective function be strongly convex.
