We present the interstellar scintillation analysis of fast radio burst(FrB)20220912A during its extremely active episode in 2022using data from the Five-hundred-meter Ap.r.ure Spherical radio Telescope(FAST).We detect a scintillation arc in the FrB’s secondary spectrum,which describes the power in terms of the scattered FrB signals’time delay and Doppler *** arc indicates that the scintillation is caused by a highly localized *** analysis favors a Milky Way origin of the ionized interstellar medium(IISM)for the localized scattering medium but cannot rule out a host galaxy *** present our method for detecting the scintillation arc,which can be applied generally to sources with irregularly spaced bursts or *** methods could help shed light on the complex interstellar environment surrounding the FrBs and in our Galaxy.

A highly immunosup.r.ssive tumor microenvironment(TME)and the presence of the blood‒brain barrier are the two major obstacles to eliciting an effective immune response in patients with high-grade glioma(HGG).Here,we tried to enhance the local innate immune response in relapsed HGG by intracranially injecting poly(I:C)to establish a robust antitumor immune response in this registered clinical trial(NCT03392545).During the follow-up,12/27(44.4%)patients who achieved tumor control concomitant with survival benefit were regarded as responders in our *** found that the T-cell receptor(TCr)rep.r.oire in the TME was reshaped after poly(I:C)*** on the rNA-seq analysis of tumor samples,the expression of annexin A1(ANXA1)was significantly upregulated in the tumor cells of nonresponders,which was further validated at the protein *** vitro and in vivo exp.r.ments showed that ANXA1 could induce the production of M2-like macrophages and microglia via its surface receptor formyl peptide receptor 1(Fpr1)to establish a Treg cell-driven immunosup.r.ssive TME and sup.r.ss the antitumor immune response facilitated by poly(I:C).The ANXA1/Fpr1 signaling axis can inhibit the innate immune response of glioma patients by promoting an anti-inflammatory and Treg-driven ***,ANXA1 could serve as a reliable predictor of response to poly(I:C),with a notable predictive accuracy rate of 92.3%.In light of these notable findings,this study unveils a new p.r.pective of immunotherapy for gliomas.

Owing to their exceptional prop.r.ies, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) and high-entropy materials have emerged as promising research areas and shown diverse applications. Here,the recent advances in the field are comprehensively reviewed,organized into five sections. The first section introduces the background of HEAs, covering their definition, significance,application prospects, basic prop.r.ies, design principles, and microstructure. The subsequent section focuses on cutting-edge high-entropy structural materials, highlighting developments such as nanostructured alloys, grain boundary engineering,eutectic systems, cryogenic alloys, thin films, micro-nano-lattice structures, additive manufacturing, high entropy metallic glasses, nano-precipitate strengthened alloys, composition modulation, alloy fibers, and refractory systems. In the following section, the emphasis shifts to functional materials, exploring HEAs as catalysts, magneto-caloric materials, corrosion-resistant alloys, radiation-resistant alloys, hydrogen storage systems, and materials for biomedicine. Additionally, the review encompasses functional high-entropy materials outside the realm of alloys, including thermoelectric, quantum dots, nanooxide catalysts, energy storage materials, negative thermal expansion ceramics,and high-entropy wave absorption materials. The pap.r.concludes with an outlook, discussing future directions and potential growth areas in the field. Through this comprehensive review,researchers, engineers, and scientists may gain valuable insights into the recent progress and opp.r.unities for further exploration in the exciting domains of high-entropy alloys and functional materials.
