The coexistence of cadmium(Cd(Ⅱ))and arsenate(As(Ⅴ))pollution has long been an environmental ***,a porous carbonaceous material with tunable functionality,has been used for the remediation of contaminated ***,it is still challenging for the dynamic quantification and mechanistic understanding of the simultaneous sequestration of multi-metals in biochar-engineered environment,especially in the presence of *** this study,ferrihydrite was coprecipitated with biochar to investigate how ferrihydritebiochar composite affects the fate of heavy metals,especially in the coexistence of Cd(Ⅱ)and As(Ⅴ).In the solution system containing both Cd(Ⅱ)and As(Ⅴ),the maximum adsorption capacities of ferrihydrite-biochar composite for Cd(Ⅱ)and As(Ⅴ)reached 82.03μmol/g and 531.53μmol/g,respectively,much higher than those of the pure biochar(26.90μmol/g for Cd(Ⅱ),and 40.24μmol/g for As(Ⅴ))and ferrihydrite(42.26μmol/g for Cd(Ⅱ),and 248.25μmol/g for As(Ⅴ)).Cd(Ⅱ)adsorption increased in the presence of As(Ⅴ),possibly due to the changes in composite surface charge in the presence of As(Ⅴ),and the increased dispersion of ferrihydrite by *** microscopic and mechanistic results showed that Cd(Ⅱ)complexed with both biochar and ferrihydrite,while As(Ⅴ)was mainly complexed by ferrihydrite in the Cd(Ⅱ)and As(Ⅴ)coexistence *** posed vital importance for the co-adsorption of Cd(Ⅱ)and As(Ⅴ).The different distribution patterns revealed by this study help to a deeper understanding of the behaviors of cations and anions in the natural environment.

(Multichannel)Singular spectrum analysis is considered as one of the most effective methods for seismic incoherent noise *** utilizes the low-rank feature of seismic signal and regards the noise suppression as a low-rank reconstruction ***,in some cases the seismic geophones receive some erratic disturbances and the amplitudes are dramatically larger than other *** presence of this kind of noise,called erratic noise,makes singular spectrum analysis(SSA)reconstruction unstable and has undesirable effects on the final *** robustify the low-rank reconstruction of seismic data by a reweighted damped SSA(RD-SSA)*** incorporates the damped SSA,an improved version of SSA,into a reweighted *** damping operator is used to weaken the artificial disturbance introduced by the low-rank projection of both erratic and random *** central idea of the RD-SSA method is to iteratively approximate the observed data with the quadratic norm for the first iteration and the Tukeys bisquare norm for the rest *** RD-SSA method can suppress seismic incoherent noise and keep the reconstruction process robust to the erratic *** feasibility of RD-SSA is validated via both synthetic and field data examples.

The critical rainfall of runoff-initiated debris flows is utmost importance for local early hazard *** paper presents research on the critical rainfall of runoff-initiated debris flows through comparisons between slope gradients and three key factors,including topographic contributing area,dimensionless discharge,and Shields *** rainfall amount was estimated by utilizing in-situ rainfall records and a slope-dependent Shields stress model was *** created model can predict critical Shields stress more accurately than the other two ***,a new dimensionless discharge equation was proposed based on the corresponding discharge-gradient *** new equation,along with factors such as contributing area above bed failure sites,channel width,and mean diameter of debris flow deposits,predicts a smaller rainfall amount than the in-situ measured *** the slope-dependent Shields stress model performs well and the estimated rainfall amount is lower than the in-situ records,the sediment initiation in the experiments falls within sheet flow regime due to a large Shields ***,further sediment initiation experiments at a steeper slope range are expected in the future to ensure that the sediment transport belongs to mass failure regime characterized by a low level of Shields ***,a more accurate hazard forecast on the runoff-initiated debris flow holds promise when the corresponding critical slope-dependent dimensionless discharge of no motion,fluvial sediment transport,mass flow regime,and sheet flow regime are considered.

The bottom blowing element is the key equipment to ensure the bottom blowing effect of the *** types of bottom blowing elements,dispersive type(D1),double circular seam(D2)and straight cylinder type(D3),were built,and the effects of bottom blowing element type on molten bath flow,wall erosion and furnace bottom erosion were *** was found that when the bottom blowing elements of dispersive type(D1)and double circular seam(D2)were used,the dead zone area in the lower part of the molten bath was smaller,and the high-speed zone area was larger;therefore,the stirring effect on the bottom melt was *** the straight cylinder type(D3)bottom blowing element was used,the gas penetrated the molten bath at a faster rate to reach the surface of molten bath and failed to disperse in the bottom molten bath,and the wall shear stress near the nozzle outlet was *** argon was blown by three different bottom blowing elements,the area of the wall shear stress greater than 3 Pa was 4.8,5.6 and 8.7 cm2,respectively,within 0.2 m of the bottom blowing nozzle outlet.

Gas therapy(GT)combined with photodynamic therapy(PDT)is an effective strategy to compensate for the PDT limitation caused by the hypoxic tumor microenvironment,which can greatly improve PDT *** uncontrolled leakage of gas molecules during delivery seriously hinders its practical biological ***,we report a multifunction nanomedicine that enables precise gas therapy(including carbon monoxide(CO)release and H_(2)S depletion)using a multi-parameter-induced activation gas release strategy,enlarging the PDT *** nanomedicine uses a disulfide bond to covalently link a photosensitizer with the CO donor 3-hydroxyflavone(3-HF).The disulfide bond can be specifically consumed in H_(2)S-rich tumor areas,releasing the CO donor(3-HF),and also depleting H_(2)*** importantly,the photo-controlled production of^(1)O_(2)can induce 3-HF precise release of CO in the tumor *** H_(2)S,light,and^(1)O_(2)multi-parameter-induced activation of gas release strategy ensures the accuracy of GT to amplify PDT *** expected,in vitro and in vivo investigations show that GT makes up for the PDT limitation,exhibiting the highest tumor therapeutic *** multi-parameter-activated design strategy provides a new way to improve the precision and efficacy of multimodal synergistic therapy of tumors.

Direct CO_(2) hydrogenation offers an important strategy for promoting the global carbon balance,but high thermodynamic and kinetic stability of CO_(2) has restricted its applicability to only a handful of industrial ***,we introduce a proof-of-concept application of the electron-rich Pt surface to promote hydrogen donation for electron-rich MoC particles acting as hydrogen acceptors,thereby constructing hydrogen-rich surface of MoC active ***,the formed hydrogen-rich and electronrich surface could greatly decrease reaction activation energy to boost the efficient CO_(2) hydrogenation into formic acid over the MoC *** optimized MoC@NC/Pt-0.1(NC:nitrogen-doped carbon)catalyst exhibits a high turnover frequency(TOF)value of 1.2 h^(−1) at a lower temperature of 60℃and a TOF of 24.2 h^(−1) under standard reaction conditions widely used in the literature,exceeding 7 times of MoC@NC catalyst and surpassing the benchmark classical non-noble metal active center-based heterogeneous catalyst.

Wind sensors have always played an irreplaceable role in environmental information monitoring and are expected to operate with lower power consumption to extend service ***,we propose a breeze wake-up anemometer(B-WA)based on a rolling-bearing triboelectric nanogenerator(RB-TENG)with extremely low static *** B-WA consists of two RB-TENGs,a self-waking-up module(SWM),a signal processing module(SPM),and a wireless transmission *** two RB-TENGs are employed for system activation and wind-speed *** the ambient wind-speed exceeds 2 m/s,the wake TENG(W-TENG)and the SWM can wake up the system within 0.96 *** the same time,the SPM starts to calculate the signal frequency from the measured TENG(M-TENG)to monitor the wind speed with a sensitivity of 9.45 Hz/(m/s).After the wind stops,the SWM can switch off the B-WA within 0.52 s to decrease the system energy *** quiescent on-duty mode,the operating power of the B-WA is less than 30 nW,which can greatly extend the service lifetime of the *** integrating triboelectric devices and rolling bearings,this work has realized an ultralow quiescent power and self-waked-up wireless wind-speed monitoring system,which has foreseeable applications in remote weather monitoring,IoT nodes,and so on.

Development and understanding of highly mechanically robust and electronically conducting hydrogels are extremely important for ever-increasing energy-based *** mixing/blending of conductive additives with hydrophilic polymer network prevents both high mechanical strength and electronic conductivity to be presented in polymer ***,we proposed a double-network(DN)engineering strategy to fabricate PVA/PPy DN hydrogels,consisting of a conductive PPy-PA network via in-situ ultrafast gelation and a tough PVA network via a subsequent freezing/thawing *** resultant PVA/PPy hydrogels exhibited superior mechanical and electrochemical properties,including electrical conductivity of~6.8 S/m,mechanical strength of~0.39 MPa,and elastic moduli of~0.1 *** further transformation of PVA/PPy hydrogels into supercapacitors,they demonstrated a high capacitance of~280.7 F/g and a cycle life of 2000 galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles with over 94.3%capacity retention at the current density of 2 mA/cm2 and even subzero temperatures of−20℃.Such enhanced mechanical performance and electronic conductivity of hydrogels are mainly stemmed from a synergistic combination of continuous electrically conductive PPy-PA network and the two interpenetrating DN *** in-situ gelation strategy is applicable to the integration of ionic-/electrical-conductive materials into DN hydrogels for smart-soft electronics,beyond the most commonly used PEDOT:PSS-based hydrogels.

The balance between cationic redox and oxygen redox in layer-structured cathode materials is an important issue for sodium batteries to obtain high energy density and considerable cycle *** redox can contribute extra capacity to increase energy density,but results in lattice instability and capacity fading caused by lattice oxygen gliding and oxygen *** this work,reversible Mn^(2+)/Mn^(4+)redox is realized in a P3-Na_(0.65)Li_(0.2)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.75)O_(2)cathode material with high specific capacity and structure stability via Co *** contribution of oxygen redox is suppressed significantly by reversible Mn^(2+)/Mn^(4+)redox without sacrificing capacity,thus reducing lattice oxygen release and improving the structure *** X-ray techniques reveal that P3 phase is well maintained in a wide voltage window of 1.5-4.5 V ***^(+)/Na even at 10 C and after long-term *** is disclosed that charge compensation from Co/Mn-ions contributes to the voltage region below 4.2 V and O-ions contribute to the whole voltage *** synergistic contributions of Mn^(2+)/Mn^(4+),Co^(2+)/Co^(3+),and O^(2-)/(O_n)^(2-)redox in P3-Na_(0.65)Li_(0.2)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.75)O_(2)lead to a high reversible capacity of 215.0 m A h g^(-1)at 0.1 C with considerable cycle *** strategy opens up new opportunities for the design of high capacity cathode materials for rechargeable batteries.
