Dear Editor, Telomeres are specific protein-DNA complexes that pro- tect the ends of eukaryotic chromosomes from fusion and degradation and are maintained by a specialized mecha- nism exerted by telomerase and telomere-binding proteins. Mammalian telomeres contain TTAGGG and are associated with a six-protein （e.g. TRF1, TRF2, TIN2, RAP1, POT1, and TPP1） complex called shelterin （de Lange, 2005）, which was involved in telomere homeostasis. Similarly to mammalian telomeres, telomeres in most plants are maintained by tel- omerase and telomere-associated proteins （e.g. AtTBP1, AtTRP1, AtTRB1, POT1, POT2, KU70, and KU80） and consist of tandem arrays of TTTAGGG. Among telomere-associated proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana, AtTRB proteins belong to the SMH （Single-Myb-Histone）-Iike family, in which proteins are composed of an N-terminal Myb domain, a central his- tone Hl-like globular domain, and a C-terminal coiled-coil region.

CXCR1 is a G-protein coupled receptor, transducing signals from chemokines, in particular the interleukin-8 （1L8） molecules. This study combines homology modeling and molecular dynamics simulation methods to study the structure of CXCRI-IL8 complex. By using CXCR4-vMIP-II crystallography structure as the homologous template, CXCRI-IL8 complex structure was constructed, and then refined using all-atom molecular dynamics simulations. Through extensive simulations, CXCRI-IL8 binding poses were investigated in detail. Furthermore, the role of the N-terminal of CXCR1 receptor was studied by comparing four complex models differing in the N-terminal sequences. The results indicate that the receptor N-terminal affects the binding of IL8 significantly. With a shorter N-terminal domain, the binding of IL8 to CXCR1 becomes unstable. The homology modeling and simulations also reveal the key receptor-ligand residues involved in the electrostatic interactions known to be vital for complex formation.

Collaborative heterogeneous robot systems can greatly enhance the efficiency of target search and navigation *** this paper,we design a heterogeneous robot system consisting of an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)and an unmanned ground vehicle(UGV)for search and rescue missions in unknown *** system is able to search for targets and navigate to them in a maze-like mine environment with the policies learned through deep reinforcement learning *** the training process,if two robots are trained simultaneously,the rewards related to their collaboration may not be properly ***,we introduce a multi-stage reinforcement learning framework and a curiosity module to encourage agents to explore unvisited *** in simulation environments show that our framework can train the heterogeneous robot system to achieve the search and navigation with unknown target locations while existing baselines may *** UGV achieves a success rate of 89.1%in the mission within the original environment,and maintains a 67.6%success rate in untrained complex environments.

Neutron-induced gamma-ray imaging is a spectroscopic technique that uses characteristic gamma rays to infer the elemental distribution of an ***,this technique requires the use of large facilities to supply a high neutron flux and a time-consuming detection procedure involving direct collimating *** this study,a new method based on low neutron flux was proposed.A single-pixel gamma-ray detector combined with random pattern gamma-ray masks was used to measure the characteristic gamma rays emitted from the *** of the elemental distribution in the sample,comprising 30×30 pixels,were reconstructed using the maximum-likelihood expectation-maximization *** results demonstrate that the elemental imaging of the sample can be accurately determined using this *** proposed approach,which eliminates the need for high neutron flux and scanning measurements,can be used for in-field imaging applications.

In this paper, a distributed adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) framework based on value iteration is proposed for multi-player differential games. In the game setting,players have no access to the information of others' system parameters or control laws. Each player adopts an on-policy value iteration algorithm as the basic learning framework. To deal with the incomplete information structure, players collect a period of system trajectory data to compensate for the lack of information. The policy updating step is implemented by a nonlinear optimization problem aiming to search for the proximal admissible policy. Theoretical analysis shows that by adopting proximal policy searching rules, the approximated policies can converge to a neighborhood of equilibrium policies. The efficacy of our method is illustrated by three examples, which also demonstrate that the proposed method can accelerate the learning process compared with the centralized learning framework.

The squeezing deformation of surrounding rock is an important factor restricting the safe construction and long-term operation of tunnels when a tunnel passes through soft strata with high ground *** such soft rock geological conditions,the large deformation of the surrounding rock can easily lead to the failure of supporting structures,including shotcrete cracks,spalling,and steel arch *** improve the lining support performance during the large deformation of squeezed surrounding rock,this work selects aluminum foam with densities of 0.25 g/cm3,0.42 g/cm3 and 0.61 g/cm3 as the buffer layer material and carries out uniaxial confined compression *** the evaluation and analysis of energy absorption and the comparison of the yield pressure of aluminum foam with those of other cushioning materials and yield pressure support systems,the strength,deformation and energy absorption of aluminum foam with a density of 0.25 g/cm3 meet the yield pressure performance *** numerical model of the buffer layer yielding support system is then established via the finite element analysis software ABAQUS,and the influence of the buffer layer setting on the lining support is *** with the conventional support scheme,the addition of an aluminum foam buffer layer can reduce the stress and deformation of the primary support and secondary *** maximum and minimum principal stresses of the primary support are reduced by 13%and 15%,*** maximum and minimum principal stresses of the secondary lining are reduced by 15%and 12%,respectively,and the displacement deformation of the secondary lining position is reduced by 15%.In summary,the application of aluminum foam buffer layer can reduce the stress and deformation of the primary support and secondary lining,improve the stress safety of the support and reduce the deformation of the support.
