Realizing multiple locked shapes in pre-oriented liquid crystal elastomers(LCEs)is highly desired for diversifying deformations and enhancing ***,conventional LCEs only deform between two shapes for each actuation cycle upon liquid crystal-isotropic phase transitions induced by external ***,we propose to regulate the actuation modes and the locked shapes of a pre-orientated epoxy LCE by combining dynamic covalent bonds with cooling-rate-mediated *** actuation modes can be adjusted on demand by exchange reactions of dynamic covalent *** from the established actuation modes,such as elongation,bending,and spiraling,the epoxy LCE displays varied locked shapes at room temperature under different cooling *** mediums are utilized to control the cooling rate,including water,silicone oil,and copper *** approach provides a novel way for regulating the actuation modes and locked shapes of cuttingedge intelligent devices.

Quasi-one-dimensional(1D)graphene nanoribbons(GNRs)play a crucial role in advancement of nextgeneration *** studies have suggested their potential to exhibit unique symmetry-protected topological phases defined by a𝑍2 *** employing both the tight-binding model and the Floquet theory,our investigation demonstrates the effective control of the topological phase within quasi-1D armchair GNRs(AGNRs)using elliptically polarized light,unveiling rich topological phase ***,we observe that varying the amplitude of the light can induce transitions in the band gap(𝐸g)of AGNRs,leading to multiple changes in the system’s𝑍2 ***,for heterojunctions composed of different AGNR segments,the junction state can be either created or eliminated by the application of elliptically polarized light.

This study presents a rapid and versatile low-cost sample-to-answer system for SARS-CoV-2 *** system integrates the extraction and purification of nucleic acids,followed by amplification via either reverse transcriptionquantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT–qPCR)or reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification(RT–LAMP).By meeting diverse diagnostic and reagent needs,the platform yields testing results that closely align with those of commercial RT-LAMP and RT‒qPCR *** advantages of our system include its speed and *** assay is completed within 28 min,including sample loading(5 min),ribonucleic acid(RNA)extraction(3 min),and RT-LAMP(20 min).The cost of each assay is≈$9.5,and this pricing is competitive against that of Food and Drug Administration(FDA)-approved commercial *** some RNA loss during on-chip extraction is observed,the platform maintains a potential limit of detection lower than 297 *** makes the system particularly useful in environments where centralized laboratories are either unavailable or inconveniently *** key feature is the platform’s versatility,allowing users to choose between RT‒qPCR or RT‒LAMP tests based on specific requirements.

When the free standing riser(FSR) is in service in the ocean, its mechanical properties are affected by various factors, including complex ocean current forces, buoyancy of the buoyancy can, and torque caused by the deflection of the upper floating body. These loads have a great influence on the deformation and internal force of the FSR. The static performance of FSR is investigated in this research under various working conditions. The finite element model of FSR is established based on the co-rotational method. The arc length approach is used to solve the *** load is exerted in increments. The current load on the riser changes with the configuration of the riser. The accuracy of the numerical method is verified by Abaqus software. The calculation time is also compared. Then, the effects of uniform current, actual current and floating body yaw motion on FSR are studied by parameter analysis. Additionally, the influence of the FSR on the ocean current after the failure of part of the buoyancy can chamber is *** results show that the numerical model based on the co-rotational method can effectively simulate the large rotation and torsion behavior of FSR. This method has high computational efficiency and precision, and this method can quickly improve the efficiency of numerical calculation of static analysis of deep-water riser. The proposed technology may serve as an alternative to the existing proprietary commercial software, which uses a complex graphical user interface.

The recovery and subsequent reuse of heavy metal ions from industrial wastewater are crucial for promoting sustainable development,but they also presen significant *** this article,ethylenediaminetetraacetic dianhydride （EDTAD）,which possesses strong metal chelating ability,is covalently attached to MIL-101-NH2（Fe）,resulting in a significant improvement in the removal rate of heavy metal ions in ***,the recovered waste metal ions are transformed into high-performance Feni3/niFe2O4@NC dual-functional oxygen evolution reaction （OER） and oxygen reduction reaction （ORR） ***,Feni3/niFe2O4@NC exhibits outstanding OER performance,with only a264 mV overpotential at 10 mA·*** functiona theory （DFT） calculations reveal that the synergistic effect of the Feni3/niFe2O4@NC heterostructure can enhance conductivity,optimize the free energy of*to OH*during OER reaction,and promote catalytic *** work not only improves the removal rate of heavy metal ions but also obtains high-performance catalysts,while providing a new approach for the treatment and secondary utilization of heavy metal ion wastewater as well as the preparation of low-cost catalysts.

Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have rapidly risen to the forefront of energy storage systems as a promising supplementary for Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(2)F_(3)(NVPF)as a common cathode of SIBs,features the merits of high operating voltage,small volume change and favorable specific energy ***,it suffers from poor cycling stability and rate performance induced by its low intrinsic ***,we propose an ingenious strategy targeting superior SIBs through cross-linked NVPF with multi-dimensional nanocarbon frameworks composed of amorphous carbon and carbon nanotubes(NVPF@C@CNTs).This rational design ensures favorable particle size for shortened sodium ion transmission pathway as well as improved electronic transfer network,thus leading to enhanced charge transfer kinetics and superior cycling *** from this unique structure,significantly improved electrochemical properties are obtained,including high specific capacity(126.9 mAh g^(-1)at 1 C,1 C=128 mA g^(-1))and remarkably improved long-term cycling stability with 93.9%capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 20 *** energy density of 286.8 Wh kg^(-1)can be reached for full cells with hard carbon as anode(NVPF@C@CNTs//HC).Additionally,the electrochemical performance of the full cell at high temperature is also investigated(95.3 mAh g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 1 C at 50℃).Such nanoscale dual-carbon networks engineering and thorough discussion of ion diffusion kinetics might make contributions to accelerating the process of phosphate cathodes in SIBs for large-scale energy storages.

We present preliminary analyses of spectra of quasar candidates in two Guoshoujing Telescope （GSJT, formerly named the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope - LAMOST） test fields near M 31 where one is close to the optical center of the disk and the other is towards the northeastern outskirts of the halo, obtained during the early stage of the GSJT commissioning in the last season of 2009. Both fields contain background low-redshift quasar candidates selected from the SDSS photometry. In total, 14 new quasars with redshifts up to 2 and i magnitudes between 16.7 and 19.2, are discovered, including 7 within the 2.5° central region of M 31. We briefly discuss the potential applications of these newly discovered bright quasars.

Planetary nebulae （PNe） are good tracers of the stellar populations, chemical composition and dynamics of their host galaxies. This paper reports the discovery of new PNe in the outskirts of the Andromeda Galaxy （M31） with the Guoshoujing Telescope （GSJT, formerly named the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope-LAMOST） during its early commissioning phase. In total, 36 candidates selected from SDSS photometry are confirmed in terms of their PN nature, including 17 new discoveries and another 19 previously known emission line objects. Their positions, spectra, radial velocities and m5007 magnitudes are presented. We discuss the potential for detecting more PNe in M 31 with GSJT＇s multi-object spectroscopy and the related applications in studies of the dynamics and chemistry of M 31 and its assemblage history.
