This paper proposes a high-efficiency PFC rectifier based on multiplexing the *** with a traditional six-switch PFC rectifier,the proposed rectifier extends the switches’active angle by making use of three bridge *** a result,lower conduction resistance can be realized for ***,system efficiency can be *** with a traditional six-switch PFC rectifier with doubled switches,the proposed rectifier can achieve almost the same efficiency improvement while no additional switches are *** continuous inductor current is chopped and resulting current pulses cannot be injected into the grid directly,input filter design and resonance damping are discussed for the proposed *** controller design of the rectifier is *** inductor current reference is shaped considering the input voltage envelope and forward ***,the effectiveness of the proposed rectifier is verified through simulations and experiments.

The phenomenology involved in severe accidents in nuclear reactors is highly ***,integrated analysis programs used for severe accident analysis heavily rely on custom empirical parameters,which introduce considerable ***,in recent years,the field of severe accidents has shifted its focus toward applying uncertainty analysis methods to quantify uncertainty in safety assessment programs,known as“best estimate plus uncertainty(BEPU).”This approach aids in enhancing our comprehension of these programs and their further development and *** study concentrates on a third-generation pressurized water reactor equipped with advanced active and passive mitigation *** an Integrated Severe Accident Analysis Program(ISAA),numerical modeling and uncertainty analysis were conducted on severe accidents resulting from large break loss of coolant *** uncertainty parameters of the ISAA program were meticulously *** Wilks'formula,the developed uncertainty program code,SAUP,was employed to carry out Latin hypercube sampling,while ISAA was employed to execute batch *** analysis was then conducted on two figures of merit,namely hydrogen generation and the release of fission products within the pressure *** calculations revealed that hydrogen production and the fraction of fission product released exhibited a normal distribution,ranging from 182.784 to 330.664 kg and from 15.6 to 84.3%,*** ratio of hydrogen production to reactor thermal power fell within the range of 0.0578–0.105.A sensitivity analysis was performed for uncertain input parameters,revealing significant correlations between the failure temperature of the cladding oxide layer,maximum melt flow rate,size of the particulate debris,and porosity of the debris with both hydrogen generation and the release of fission products.

Intelligent electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding modulators with a wide tuning range and cyclic stability are urgently needed but their fabrication remains challenging.A gel-like MXene/norepinephrine ink is developed and multifunctional MXene gratings with wide EMI shielding effectiveness(SE)tuning range,superior reversibility,and high mechanical flexibility are constructed by direct ink writing approach for dynamic EMI shielding and patterned Joule heating *** modulable MXene/norepinephrine grating with a high conductivity of 3510 S·cm-1 can conveniently realize the seamless modulation of the EMI SE by adjusting the angle between the MXene grating filaments and the electric field of the incident electromagnetic waves,offering highly reversible switching between shielding“On”(28.0 dB)and“Off”(0.5 dB)***,due to the optimized integration of the MXene ink and the rationally designed pattern,a superior specific EMI SE of 95,688.2 dB·cm^(2)·g^(-1) is achieved in the“On”***,the MXene/norepinephrine ink can be used to fabricate many complex patterned gratings with superior stability,instant responsibility,and superb mechanical flexibility,exhibiting a unique patterned Joule heating *** writing of multifunctional gratings paves a means for developing intelligent EMI shielding materials,wearable electronic devices,and advanced thermal management materials.

Generating a realistic person's image from one source pose conditioned on another different target pose is a promising computer vision *** previous mainstream methods mainly focus on exploring the transformation relationship between the keypoint-based source pose and the target pose,but rarely investigate the region-based human semantic *** current methods that adopt the parsing map neither consider the precise local pose-semantic matching issues nor the correspondence between two different *** this study,a Region Semantics-Assisted Generative Adversarial Network(RSA-GAN)is proposed for the pose-guided person image gen-eration *** particular,a regional pose-guided semantic fusion module is first devel-oped to solve the imprecise match issue between the semantic parsing map from a certain source image and the corresponding keypoints in the source *** well align the style of the human in the source image with the target pose,a pose correspondence guided style injection module is designed to learn the correspondence between the source pose and the target *** addition,one gated depth-wise convolutional cross-attention based style integration module is proposed to distribute the well-aligned coarse style information together with the precisely matched pose-guided semantic information to-wards the target *** experimental results indicate that the proposed RSA-GAN achieves a 23%reduction in LPIPS compared to the method without using the seman-tic maps and a 6.9%reduction in FID for the method with semantic maps,respectively,and also shows higher realistic qualitative results.

Owing to the unique structure,anode-free lithium metal batteries(AFLMBs)have higher energy density and lower production cost than traditional lithium metal batteries(LMBs)or lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),However,AFLMBs suffer from an inherently finite Li reservoir and exhibit poor cycle stability,low Coulombic efficiency(CE)and severe dendrite *** this work,polydiallyl lithium disulfide(PDS-Li)was successfully synthesized and coated on Cu current collector by electrochemical *** PDS-Li acts as an additional lithium resource to compensate for the irreversible loss of lithium during *** addition,the special structure and lithiophilicity of PDS-Li contribute to lower nucleation overpotential and uniform lithium *** coupled with Li-rich manganese-based(LRM)cathode of Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2,the anode-free full cell exhibits significantly improved cycle stability over 100 cycles and capacity retention of 63.3%and 57%after 80 and 100 cycles,*** believe that PDS-Li can be used to ensure stable cycling performance and high-energy-density in AFLMBs.

Effects of seepage pressure on the mechanical behaviors and microstructure of sandstone

Surrounding rocks of underground engineering are subjected to long-term seepage pressure,which can deteriorate the mechanical properties and cause serious *** order to understand the impact of seepage pressure on the mechanical property of sandstone,uniaxial compression tests,P-wave velocity measurements,and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)tests were conducted on saturated sandstone samples with varied seepage pressures(i.e.0 MPa,3 MPa,4 MPa,5 MPa,6 MPa,7 MPa).The results demonstrate that the mechanical parameters(uniaxial compressive strength,peak strain,elastic modulus,and brittleness index),total energy,elastic strain energy,as well as elastic strain energy ratio,decrease with increasing seepage pressure,while the dissipation energy and dissipation energy ratio ***,as seepage pressure increases,the micro-pores gradually transform into meso-pores and *** increases the cumulative porosity of sandstone and decreases P-wave *** numerical results indicate that as seepage pressure rises,the number of tensile cracks increases progressively,the angle range of microcracks is basically from 50-120to 80-100,and as a result,the failure mode transforms to the tensile-shear mixed failure ***,the effects of seepage pressure on mechanical properties were *** results show that decrease in the effective stress and cohesion under the action of seepage pressure could lead to deterioration of strength behaviors of sandstone.

As the main component of wearable electronic equipment,flexible pressure sensors have attracted wide attention due to their excellent sensitivity and their promise with respect to applications in health monitoring,electronic skin,and human-computer ***,it remains a significant challenge to achieve epidermal sensing over a wide sensing range,with short response/recovery time and featuring seamless conformability to the skin *** is critical since the capture of minute electrophysiological signals is important for health care *** this paper,we report the preparation of a nacre-like MXene/sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)nanocomposite film with a“brick-and-mortar”interior structure using a vacuum-induced self-assembly *** synergistic behavior of the MXene“brick”and flexible CMC“mortar”contributes to attenuating interlamellar self-stacking and creates numerous variable conductive pathways on the sensing *** resulted in a high sensitivity over a broad pressure range(i.e.,0.03-22.37 kPa:162.13 kPa^(-1);22.37-135.71 kPa:127.88 kPa^(-1);135.71-286.49 kPa:100.58 kPa^(-1)).This sensor also has a low detection limit(0.85 Pa),short response/recovery time(8.58 ms/34.34 ms),and good stability(2000 cycles).Furthermore,we deployed pressure sensors to distinguish among tiny particles,various physiological signals of the human body,space arrays,robot motion monitoring,and other related applications to demonstrate their feasibility for a variety of health and motion monitoring use cases.

Magnetic holes at the ion-to-electron kinetic scale(KSMHs)are one of the extremely small intermittent structures generated in turbulent magnetized *** recent years,the explorations of KSMHs have made substantial strides,driven by the ultra-high-precision observational data gathered from the Magnetospheric Multiscale(MMS)*** review paper summarizes the up-to-date characteristics of the KSMHs observed in Earth’s turbulent magnetosheath,as well as their potential impacts on space *** review starts by introducing the fundamental properties of the KSMHs,including observational features,particle behaviors,scales,geometries,and distributions in terrestrial *** have discovered that KSMHs display a quasi-circular electron vortex-like structure attributed to electron diamagnetic *** electrons exhibit noticeable non-gyrotropy and undergo *** occurrence rate of KSMH in the Earth’s magnetosheath is significantly greater than in the solar wind and magnetotail,suggesting the turbulent magnetosheath is a primary source ***,KSMHs have also been generated in turbulence simulations and successfully reproduced by the kinetic equilibrium ***,KSMHs have demonstrated their ability to accelerate electrons by a novel non-adiabatic electron acceleration mechanism,serve as an additional avenue for energy dissipation during magnetic reconnection,and generate diverse wave phenomena,including whistler waves,electrostatic solitary waves,and electron cyclotron waves in space *** results highlight the magnetic hole’s impact such as wave-particle interaction,energy cascade/dissipation,and particle acceleration/heating in space *** end this paper by summarizing these discoveries,discussing the generation mechanism,similar structures,and observations in the Earth’s magnetotail and solar wind,and presenting a future extension perspective in this active field.

A chemical co-precipitation strategy was employed to synthesize a series of(Gd_(0.95−x)Lu_(x)Eu_(0.05))_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)(x=0.1−0.95)powder phosphors,followed by vacuum sintering to achieve transparent garnet ceramic *** density functional theory indicated Lu_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) was formed in priority compared with Gd_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) during solid-phase *** high-temperature sintering,the Lu^(3+)substitution for Gd^(3+)suppressed point mass diffusion leading to a smaller grain *** in-line transmittances of bulk specimens with x=0.1,0.3,0.5,0.7,and 0.95 nm were~83.5%,80.1%,68.8%,73.7%,and 82.2%at 710 nm(Eu^(3+)emission center),respectively,among which the sample of x=0.1 exhibited the optical grade with near-zero optical loss in agreement with the defect-free single crystal(~100%of the theoretical transmittance).The resulting particle and ceramic materials both presented characteristic Eu^(3+)emission arising from 5D0→7FJ(J=1−4)transition,where the dominant far-red emission at~710 nm arising from ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(4) transition overlapped with the absorption of phytochrome(PFR).The photoluminescence excitation and photoluminescence intensities of(Gd_(0.95−x)Lu_(x)Eu_(0.05))_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) powders and ceramics generally increased at a higher Gd^(3+)/Lu^(3+)***^(3+)dopants delayed the fluorescence lifetime while the bulk samples had shorter lifetime compared to the particle *** transparent(Gd_(0.85)Lu_(0.1)Eu_(0.05))3Al_(5)O_(12) ceramic phosphor exhibited good thermal stability with a high thermal quenching temperature above 533 *** designed ceramic phosphor-converted light-emitting diode had a saturation injection current of 435 mA and a current-dependent color rendering *** importantly,our report marked the developmental stage of transparent ceramic materials towards zero optical loss.
