Quality assessment of friction-stir-welded aluminum alloy welds via three-dimensional force signals

An online detection technology must be developed for realizing the real-time control of friction stir *** this study,the three-dimensional force exerted on a material during friction stir welding was collected synchronously and the relationship between the forces and welding quality was *** results indicated that the fluctuation period of the traverse force was equal to that of the lateral force during the stable welding *** phase difference between two horizontal forces wasπ/*** values of the horizontal forces increased with welding speed,whereas their amplitudes remained the *** proposed force model showed that the traverse and lateral forces conformed to an elliptical curve,and this result was consistent with the behavior of the measured *** variational mode decomposition was used to process the plunge *** intrinsic mode function that represented the real fluctuation in the plunge force varied at the same frequency as the spindle rotational *** tunnel defects occurred,the fluctuation period features were consistent with those obtained during normal welding,whereas the ratio parameter defined in this study increased significantly.

Replacing fossil fuels with fuel cells is a feasible way to reduce global energy shortages and environmental ***,the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)at the cathode has sluggish kinetics,which limits the development of fuel *** is significant to develop catalysts with high catalytic activity of *** single-atom catalysts(SACs)of Pt supported on heteroatom-doped graphene are potential candidates for *** we studied the SACs of Pt with different heteroatoms doping and screened out Pt-C_(4) and Pt-C_(3)O_(1) structures with only 0.13 V overpotential for ***,it is found that B atoms doping could weaken the adsorption capacity of Pt,while N or O atoms doping could enhance *** regularity was verified on Fe *** the electronic interaction analysis between Pt and adsorbate,we explained the mechanism of this regularity and further proposed a new descriptor named corrected d-band center(ε_(d-corr))to describe *** descriptor is an appropriate reflection of the number of free electrons of the SACs,which could evaluate its adsorption *** work provides a purposeful regulatory strategy for the design of ORR catalysts.

This work focuses on the ground-state phase diagram,the compensation temperatures and the critical behaviors of a ferrimagnetic graphene-like trilayer induced by crystal fields and exchange *** simulation results show that a negative decrease in crystal field or an increase in exchange coupling can increase the critical *** importantly,an M curve with double compensation temperatures can be observed,which is not predicted by the Neel *** remarkable compensation phenomenon has potential application value in the field of magnetic recording.

Defects in the grain interiors of 3 mol%yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal ceramics with 0.25 wt%alumina

The presence of high-density defects is rarely observed in bulk 3 mol%yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal(3Y-TZP)ceramics obtained through conventional pressureless *** the present work,fine-grained dense 147 nm 3Y-TZP ceramics were prepared by pressureless sintering of commercial 0.25 wt%alumina-doped zirconia powders at 1300℃.A novel discovery was reported in which large amounts of defects were present in the grain interiors of the *** phenomenon was further examined using three types of powder samples,and the reasons for defect formation were investigated by microstructural characterization using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)analysis and Rietveld *** results confirmed the essential dependence of the defect formation on the alumina *** authors attributed the defect formation to the significant difference in ionic radii of the solvent and solute during the dissolution of alumina into the zirconia *** sintering kinetics were proposed to be enhanced by the presence of substantial defects,which consequently favored the low-temperature sintering of the alumina-doped zirconia ceramics.

Parental Psychological Control and Internet Gaming Disorder Tendency:A Moderated Mediation Model of Core Self-Evaluation and Intentional Self-Regulation

Internet gaming disorder(IGD)among junior high school students is an increasingly prominent mental health *** is important to look for influences behind internet gaming disorder tendency(IGDT)in the junior high school student *** present study aimed to reveal the explanatory mechanisms underlying the association between parental psychological control(PPC)and internet gaming disorder tendency among junior high school students by testing the mediating role of core self-evaluation(CSE)and the moderating role of intentional self-regulation(ISR).Participants in present study were 735 Chinese junior high school students who completed offline self-report questionnaires on parental psychological control,core self-evaluation,intentional self-regulation,and Internet gaming disorder *** were conducted via mediation and moderated *** results showed that:(1)Parental psychological control was positively related to junior high school students’Internet gaming disorder *** self-evaluation,and intentional self-regulation were negatively related to junior high school students’Internet gaming disorder tendency,respectively.(2)Core self-evaluation partially mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and junior high school students’Internet gaming disorder tendency.(3)Intentional self-regulation moderated the association between parental psychological control and Internet gaming disorder tendency,as well as the relationships between parental psychological control and core self-evaluation and core self-evaluation and Internet gaming disorder tendency in the mediated *** on these findings,we believe that there is a need to weaken parental psychological control,strengthen junior high school students’core self-evaluation and intentional self-regulation,and to recognize the important role of parents as well as their children’s personal positive traits in the healthy development of junior high school students.

On the Surface Helium Abundance of B-type Hot Subdwarf Stars from the WD+MS Channel of Type Ia Supernovae

The origin of intermediate helium (He)-rich hot subdwarfs is still *** studies have suggested that some surviving Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) companions from the white dwarf+main-sequence (WD+MS)channel may contribute to the intermediate He-rich hot ***,previous studies ignored the impact of atomic diffusion on the post-explosion evolution of surviving companion stars of SNe Ia,leading to the aspect that they could not explain the observed surface He abundance of intermediate He-rich hot *** this work,by taking the atomic diffusion and stellar wind into account,we trace the surviving companions of SNe Ia from the WD+MS channel using the one-dimensional stellar evolution code MESA until they evolve into hot *** find that the surface He-abundances of our surviving companion models during their core He-burning phases are in a range of-1■log(N_(He) N_(H))■0,which are consistent with those observed in intermediate He-rich hot *** seems to further support the notion that it is possible for surviving companions of SNe Ia in the WD+MS channel to form some intermediate He-rich hot subdwarfs.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) combine the benefits of metallic Zn anodes with those of aqueous electrolytes and are well suited for large-scale energy storage because of their inherent high safety, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendliness. Currently, the practical application of such batteries is hindered by the poor cycling performance of Zn anodes due to uncontrolled dendrite formation and severe side reactions, although recent reports suggest that these problems can be mitigated through the modification of Zn anodes with metal-based *** that the mechanisms of improving Zn deposition and the structural evolution of metal-based materials have not been systematically reviewed, we herein systematically overview the metal-based materials used to stabilize Zn anodes, starting with a brief summary of the anode working mechanism and the challenges faced by stabilized Zn anodes. Subsequently, the design principles of Zn anodes stabilized by metal-based materials and the related recent progress are reviewed, and the key challenges and perspectives for the future development of such Zn anodes are proposed.

Arbitrary skin metallization by pencil-writing inspired solid-ink rubbing for advanced energy storage and harvesting

The development of a durable metallic coating on diverse substrates is both intriguing and challenging,particularly in the research of metal-conductive materials for applications such as batteries,soft electronics,and ***,by learning from the pencil-writing process,a facile solid-ink rubbing technology(SIR-tech)is invented to address the above *** solid-ink is exampled by rational combination of liquid metal and graphite *** harnessing the synergistic effects between rubbing and adhesion,controllable metallic skin is successfully formed onto metals,woods,ceramics,and plastics without limitation in size and ***,outperforming pure liquid-metal coating,the composite metallic skin by SIR-tech is very robust due to the self-lamination of graphite nanoplate exfoliated by liquid-metal *** critical factors controlling the structures-properties of the composite metallic skin have been systematically investigated as *** applications,the SIR-tech is demonstrated to fabricate high-performance composite current collectors for next-generation batteries without traditional metal ***,advanced skin-electrodes are further demonstrated for stable triboelectricity generation even under temperature fluctuation from-196 to 120℃.This facile and highly-flexible SIR-tech may work as a powerful platform for the studies on functional coatings by liquid metals and beyond.

Optimum process conditions for preparation of Cu-en/AP composite microspheres by electrostatic spray method based on ANSYS(Fluent) simulation

This study employed ANSYS (Fluent) to set up an orthogonal experimental design for simulating the preparation of AP/Cu-en composite microspheres via the electrostatic spray method. Additionally， a controlled variable approach was used to simulate the influence of flow rate， solvent ratio， and solid mass on the experimental results. The purpose is to study the optimal process conditions for preparing Cu-en/AP composite microspheres through electrostatic spray and to reveal the effects of changes in droplet properties and flow rate during the electrostatic spray process on the experimental *** results indicate that under the following process conditions: a flow rate of 2.67e-3 kg/s， acetone to deionized water ratio of 1.5:1， and a solid mass of 200 mg， the theoretical diameter of the composite microspheres can reach the nanoscale. These microspheres exhibit high velocity within the electric field， there was no significant deviation in the motion trajectory. The particle diameter decreases with the increase of *** the process，This decreasing trend begins to moderate when the flow rate is 1e-3kg/s. When increasing the solvent ratio (higher acetone content)，at the begging，the particle diameter is reduced， followed by an increase. An increase in solid mass also leads to reduced in particle diameter. At a solid mass of approximately 220 mg， the particle diameter starts to increase linearly. It will be explained in detail in this paper.
