Theoretical insights into thermal transport and structural stability mechanisms of triaxial compressed methane hydrate

The heat transfer and stability of methane hydrate in reservoirs have a direct impact on the drilling and production efficiency of hydrate resources, especially in complex stress environments caused by formation subsidence. In this study, we investigated the thermal transport and structural stability of methane hydrate under triaxial compression using molecular dynamics simulations. The results suggest that the thermal conductivity of methane hydrate increases with increasing compression strain. Two phonon transport mechanisms were identified as factors enhancing thermal conductivity. At low compressive strains, a low-frequency phonon transport channel was established due to the overlap of phonon vibration peaks between methane and water molecules. At high compressive strains, the filling of larger phonon bandgaps facilitated the opening of more phonon transport channels. Additionally, we found that a strain of -0.04 is a watershed point, where methane hydrate transitions from stable to unstable. Furthermore, a strain of -0.06 marks the threshold at which the diffusion capacities of methane and water molecules are at their peaks. At a higher strain of -0.08, the increased volume compression reduces the available space, limiting the diffusion ability of water and methane molecules within the hydrate. The synergistic effect of the strong diffusion ability and high probability of collision between atoms increases the thermal conductivity of hydrates during the unstable period compared to the stable period. Our findings offer valuable theoretical insights into the thermal conductivity and stability of methane hydrates in reservoir stress environments.

Influence of deformation on precipitation in AZ80 magnesium alloy

Precipitates in the conventionally processed （solution treatment followed by aging） AZ80 alloy are coarse, cellular, and incoherent. They nucleate and grow on the basal planes of the matrix or distribute discontinuously in the alloy. Their unique morphology and undesired distribution make them ineffective for precipitation strengthening. This condition, however, can be modified by applying selected deforma-tion and heat treatment conditions. The effect of deformation and heat treatment on the morphology and distribution of precipitates has been studied. Deformation was introduced by hot extrusion, cold rolling, or equal channel angular pressing （ECAP）. The microstructures were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The results showed that cold de-formation improved precipitation more significantly than hot deformation, and twinning promoted precipitation more effectively than slip. When ECAP was applied, the Bc-route induced more precipitates than the A-route.

One-year clinical efficacy evaluation of selective corneal wavefront aberration-guided FS-LASIK correction in patients with high myopia

AIM:To evaluate the effectiveness,safety,predictability,precision and changes of higher-order aberrations(HOAs)on corneal front surface of selective corneal wavefront aberration-guided femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(CW-FS-LASIK)in patients with high myopia 1-year ***:Totally 74 eyes of 37 patients with high myopia or myopic astigmatism in both the eyes who underwent the CW-FS-LASIK procedure in Xi’an Gaoxin Hospital from January 2021 to June 2021 were *** changes of uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),spherical equivalent refraction(SER),astigmatism,HOAs and Strehl ratio(SR)on the anterior surface of the cornea after 1y of the surgery were ***:At postoperative 1y,the UDVA(logMAR)of 74 eyes(100%)reached 0 or better,including 0 in 8 eyes(10.81%),-0.1 in 45 eyes(60.81%),and-0.2 in 21 eyes(28.38%).The effectiveness index was 1.29±*** was no decrease in postoperative BCVA compared with preoperative BCVA in all *** BCVA was the same in 44 eyes(59.46%)as preoperative BCVA,increased by 1 line in 23 eyes(31.08%)and increased by 2 lines in 7 eyes(9.46%)compared with preoperative *** safety index was 1.11±*** estimated corrected SER before surgery was(-7.76±1.21)D,and the actual corrected SER was(-7.83±1.25)D(Y=0.9811X+0.2156,R2=0.9084).There was a high correlation between the estimated corrected SER and the actual corrected *** postoperative SER in 74 eyes(100%)was within±0.75 *** postoperative astigmatism of all was within-0.75 D to *** mean square(RMS)HOAs of spherical aberration and SR within 5 mm of the corneal front surface were all increased compared with those before operation(P0.0

采用高压管道粉尘在线检测装置对天然气站场内多管旋风分离器和过滤分离器进出口管道内颗粒物浓度和粒径分布进行测定,得到多管旋风分离器和过滤分离器的实际分离性能。现场测试结果与常压常温下过滤分离设备的性能测定结果对比表明:多管旋风分离器现场的分离效率与实验室测试结果相一致,常压常温工况下的性能测定数据可以作为评价高压实际工况运行的指标。过滤分离器现场测试结果与常压常温下测试结果存在差别,主要原因在于滤芯现场使用过程中,滤芯纤维失效会导致较大颗粒穿透,使过滤分离器效率下降。

A nano-sheet graphene-based enhanced thermal radiation composite for passive heat dissipation from vehicle batteries

In response to thermal runaway(TR) of electric vehicles, recent attention has been focused on mitigation strategies such as efficient heat dredging in battery thermal management. Thermal management with particular focus on battery cooling has been becoming increasingly significant. TR usually happened when an electric vehicle is unpowered and charged. In this state, traditional active battery cooling schemes are disabled, which can easily lead to dangerous incidents due to loss of cooling ability, and advanced passive cooling strategies are therefore gaining importance. Herein, we developed an enhanced thermal radiation material, consisting of ～1 μm thick multilayered nano-sheet graphene film coated upon the heat dissipation surface, thereby enhancing thermal radiation in the nanoscale. The surface was characterized on the nanoscale, and tested in a battery-cooling *** found that the graphene-based coating's spectral emissivity is between 91 % and 95 % in the mid-infrared region, and thermal experiments consequently illustrated that graphene-based radiative cooling yielded up to15.1 % temperature reduction when compared to the uncoated analogue. Using the novel graphene surface to augment a heat pipe, the temperature reduction can be further enlarged to 25.6 %. The new material may contribute to transportation safety, global warming mitigation and carbon neutralization.
