The global organic food sector has shown unprecedented growth since 2002,and the start of this trend is inextricably linked to ***,the Asia-Pacific market and in particular the Chinese market is nowadays growing faster than the Western *** main reasons behind this growth are the increasing disposable income of Chinese citizens and the multiple food scandals in *** that this industry is still in its early stages in China,there have been few studies conducted on the factors that drive the Chinese to buy organic ***,there is great need to gain knowledge about the consumer’s behavior towards organic *** purpose of this research is to identify the factors that influence Chinese consumers’ purchase intention towards organic *** relationship between purchase intention and the following factors was examined: multiple socio-demographic factors,health consciousness,the COVID-19 crisis,organic knowledge,availability,social consciousness and country of *** a quantitative descriptive research design,225 Chinese consumers were approached by means of a random sampling *** survey instrument was designed based on validated *** overwhelming majority of the respondents were aged between 20 and 40,had a high salary and were well-educated.A higher proportion of the interviewed consumers had previously bought organic *** vast majority of respondents had high to very high health ***,62% were sure they would consume more organic food in the near future.78% of the respondents indicated that knowledge about organic food is a prerequisite for *** was seen as the most important dimension when it comes to organic *** to the respondents,Germany scores better in terms of reputation compared to *** results of the multiple regression model analysis reveal that the current COVID-19 crisis（p ＜ 0.001）and the knowledge about organic food（p ＜ 0.001）are statistically significant

Good accuracy of the alpha-defensin lateral flow test for hip periprosthetic joint infection: A pilot study in a retrospective cohort of 52 patients

BACKGROUND The alpha-defensin lateral flow(ADLF)test is a new diagnostic tool for periprosthetic joint infection(PJI).Test accuracy for combined cohorts of hip and knee PJI has been reported to be *** To assess the accuracy of the ADLF test for hip PJI,and to compare three different diagnostic criteria for *** A cohort of 52 patients was identified,with a painful or poor-functioning total hip-or hemi-arthroplasty,that underwent aspiration and a subsequent ADLF *** was diagnosed with Musculoskeletal Infection Society(MSIS)criteria,and sensitivity,specificity,overall accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value were ***,test specifics were compared with the European Bone and Joint Infection Society(EBJIS)and 2018 International Consensus Meeting(ICM)criteria for *** Using MSIS criteria,sensitivity was 100%(CI:54%-100%)and specificity was 89%(CI:76%-96%).Six true positives and 5 false positives were found,including one case of *** EBJIS criteria,more PJIs were found(11 vs 6),sensitivity was lower(71%,CI:42%-92%)and specificity was higher(97%,CI:86%-100%),with 4 false negatives and one false positive *** 2018 ICM criteria,sensitivity was 91%(62%-100%)and specificity 100%(91%-100%).The results in this cohort are comparable to previous *** Overall test accuracy of the ADLF test was good in this cohort,with a sensitivity of 100%and specificity of 89%.Using different PJI definition criteria,sensitivity and specificity changed slightly but overall accuracy remained around 90%.Using the ADLF test in metallosis cases can result in false positive results and should be performed with caution.

Individual variation in ballooning dispersal by black widow spiderlings： The effects of family and social rearing

Individual behavioral variation is ubiquitous across taxa and important to understand if we wish to fully use beha- vioral data to understand the ecology and evolution of organisms. Only recently have studies of individual variation in dispersal behavior become a focus of research. A better understanding of individual variation in dispersal behavior is likely to improve our understanding of population dynamics. In particular, the dynamics of critically small populations （endangered species） and large populations （pest species） may be driven by unique dispersal variants. Here we documented individual variation in the ballooning dispersal behavior of Western black widow spiderlings Latrodectus hesperus, an urban pest species found in superabundant in- festations throughout cities of the desert Southwest USA. We found a great deal of family-level variation in ballooning dispersal, and this variation was highly consistent （repeatable） across time. Maternal egg investment was a poor predictor of this ballooning dispersal. Instead, we show that spiderlings reared in isolation are significantly slower to disperse than spiderlings raised in a more natural setting surrounded by full siblings. Thus, our study examines a widespread but poorly understood dispersal behavior （ballooning）, and suggests urban pest population dynamics are likely driven by the interaction of variation in individuals, families and social environments

The diagnosis of ovarian torsion(OT)in girls is challenging compared to that of testicular torsion in boys for many reasons,but it behooves the medical community to continue to strive to better identify this uncommon but clinically important pathology^([1]) OT occurs when the ovary and associated structures rotate around its vascular pedicle,leading to eventually irreversible necrosis.^([2,3])Studies attempting to identify clinical features for early diagnosis have not reached a consensus on the best clinical predictors of this condition,making radiographic imaging of the ovaries even more crucial.^([4,5])

Millimetre-wave(mmWave)technology continues to draw great interest due to its broad applications in wireless communications,radar,and *** to pure electronic solutions,photonic-based mmWave generation provides wide bandwidth,low power dissipation,and remoting through low-loss ***,at high frequencies,two major challenges exist for the photonic system:the power roll-off of the photodiode,and the large signal linewidth derived directly from the ***,we demonstrate a new photonic mmWave platform combining integrated microresonator solitons and high-speed photodiodes to address the challenges in both power and *** solitons,being inherently mode-locked,are measured to provide 5.8 dB additional gain through constructive interference among mmWave beatnotes,and the absolute mmWave power approaches the theoretical limit of conventional heterodyne detection at 100 *** our free-running system,the soliton is capable of reducing the mmWave linewidth by two orders of magnitude from that of the pump *** work leverages microresonator solitons and high-speed modified uni-traveling carrier photodiodes to provide a viable path to chip-scale,high-power,low-noise,high-frequency sources for mmWave applications.

Since the North American and Global Land Data Assimilation Systems(NLDAS and GLDAS) were established in2004, significant progress has been made in development of regional and global LDASs. National, regional, projectbased, and global LDASs are widely developed across the world. This paper summarizes and overviews the development, current status, applications, challenges, and future prospects of these LDASs. We first introduce various regional and global LDASs including their development history and innovations, and then discuss the evaluation, validation, and applications(from numerical model prediction to water resources management) of these LDASs. More importantly, we document in detail some specific challenges that the LDASs are facing: quality of the in-situ observations, satellite retrievals, reanalysis data, surface meteorological forcing data, and soil and vegetation databases; land surface model physical process treatment and parameter calibration; land data assimilation difficulties; and spatial scale incompatibility problems. Finally, some prospects such as the use of land information system software, the unified global LDAS system with nesting concept and hyper-resolution, and uncertainty estimates for model structure,parameters, and forcing are discussed.

Scale-up effect analysis and modeling of liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed risers using multigene genetic programming

Understanding scale-up effects on the hydrodynamics of a liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed(LSCFB)unit requires both experimental and theoretical *** implement multigene genetic programming(MGGP)to investigate the solid holdup and distribution in three LSCFB systems with different *** addition to data obtained here,we also use a portion of data sets of LSCFB systems developed by Zheng(1999)and Liang et al.(1996).Model predictions are in good agreement with the experimental data in both radial and axial directions and at different normalized superficial liquid and solid *** radial profiles of the solid holdup are approximately identical at a fixed average cross-sectional solid holdup for the three LSCFB systems *** performance indicators including the mean absolute percentage error(6.19%)and correlation coefficient(0.985)are within an acceptable *** results suggest that a MGGP modeling approach is suitable for predicting the solid holdup and distribution of a scaled-up LSCFB system.
