The development of neurodegenerative diseases is closely related to the disruption of central nervous system ***,as innate immune cells,play important roles in the maintenance of central nervous system homeostasis,injury response,and neurodegenerative *** has been considered a metabolic waste product,but recent studies are revealing ever more of the physiological functions of *** is an important pathway in lactate function and is involved in glycolysis-related functions,macrophage polarization,neuromodulation,and angiogenesis and has also been implicated in the development of various *** review provides an overview of the lactate metabolic and homeostatic regulatory processes involved in microglia lactylation,histone versus non-histone lactylation,and therapeutic approaches targeting ***,we summarize the current research on microglia lactylation in central nervous system diseases.A deeper understanding of the metabolic regulatory mechanisms of microglia lactylation will provide more options for the treatment of central nervous system diseases.

Invasive inflammation and excessive scar formation are the main reasons for the difficulty in repairing nervous tissue after spinal cord *** and astrocytes play key roles in the spinal cord injury micro-environment and share a close ***,the mechanisms involved remain *** this study,we found that after spinal cord injury,resting microglia(M0)were polarized into pro-inflammatory phenotypes(MG1 and MG3),while resting astrocytes were polarized into reactive and scar-forming *** expression of growth arrest-specific 6(Gas6)and its receptor Axl were significantly down-regulated in microglia and astrocytes after spinal cord *** vitro experiments showed that Gas6 had negative effects on the polarization of reactive astrocytes and pro-inflammatory microglia,and even inhibited the cross-regulation between *** further demonstrated that Gas6 can inhibit the polarization of reactive astrocytes by suppressing the activation of the Yes-associated protein signaling ***,in turn,inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia by suppressing the activation of the nuclear factor-κB/p65 and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling *** vivo experiments showed that Gas6 inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia and reactive astrocytes in the injured spinal cord,thereby promoting tissue repair and motor function ***,Gas6 may play a role in the treatment of spinal cord *** can inhibit the inflammatory pathway of microglia and polarization of astrocytes,attenuate the interaction between microglia and astrocytes in the inflammatory microenvironment,and thereby alleviate local inflammation and reduce scar formation in the spinal cord.

As sessile organisms,plants must be able to sense their surroundings and *** way plants do this is by using their energy-producing organelles(chloroplasts and mitochondria).during environmental stress,these organelles experience metabolic changes that induce signals for *** many metabolites have been proposed as signaling factors,reactive oxygen species(ROS)are known to play prominent *** the chloroplast,the ROS singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))is naturally produced during impaired photosynthesis and can lead to retrograde signaling to the nucleus(to control the expression of hundreds of genes),chloroplast degradation,and cell death.

In many low-income countries, migrant remittances are essential in sustaining people's livelihoods and become even more important during and after ***, policymakers, and practitioners increasingly emphasize the need to better support this people-based mechanism, so disaster risk can be reduced. This suggests the importance of understanding migrants' perspectives on the remittance channels used and the challenges and opportunities of supporting remittances. However, such information is largely missing. drawing on interviews and a focus group discussion carried out with Pacific Island migrants living in New Zealand, the article identifies the capacity of migrants to utilize different remittance channels and resources to assist those affected in their country of origin. Challenges faced include high transfer fees, lack of information and support from external stakeholders, and limited resources to effectively send both individual and collective remittances. The article concludes that there is a serious need to involve a large array of stakeholders in finding ways to better support remittances for disaster risk management, including migrants, government agencies, the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, and those receiving remittances.

Recently, the spectroscopic signatures of a benzoselenadiazole derivative have been investigated in the framework of designing a new ratiometric fluoride sensor （Saravanan et al., Org lett, 2014, 16： 354-357）. It was suggested that this sensor is un- dergoing excited-state intramolecular proton transfer. In this work, we provide a new look at these experimental data, using a state-of-the-art time-dependent density fimctiona/theory approach to mimic the spectroscopic signatures. New insights about the nature of the excited-state processes are obtained.

This paper presents a modified Loop’s subdivision algorithm for studying the deformation of a single capsule,the hydrodynamic interaction between two capsules and the hydrodynamic diffusion of a suspension of capsules in bounded shear flow.A subdivision thin-shell model is employed to compute the forces generated on the surface of the elastic capsule during *** capsule surface is approximated using the modified Loop’s subdivision scheme which guarantees bounded curvature and C1 continuity everywhere on the limit *** present numerical technique has been validated by studying the deformation of a spherical capsule in shear *** are also performed for a biconcave capsule over a wide range of shear rates and viscosity ratios to investigate its *** addition,the hydrodynamic interaction between two elastic capsules in bounded shear flow is *** on the wall separation distance,the trajectory-bifurcation points that separate reversing and crossing motions for both spherical and biconcave capsules can be *** to the spherical capsules,the biconcave capsules exhibit additional types of interaction such as rotation and head-on *** head-on collision results in a large trajectory shift which contribute to the hydrodynamic diffusion of a suspension.A suspension of a large number of biconcave capsules in shear flow is also simulated to show the ability of the modified scheme in running a large-scale simulation over a long period of time.

In order to describe a solid which deforms smoothly in some region, but non smoothly in some other region, many multiscale methods have been recently proposed that aim at coupling an atomistic model （discrete mechanics） with a macroscopic model （continuum mechanics）. We provide here a theoretical basis for such a coupling in a one-dimensional setting, in the case of convex energy.
