Mechanical and low-cycle fatigue behavior of s.ainles. reinforcing s.eel for earthquake engineering applications

Us. of s.ainles. reinforcing s.eel （s.s. in reinforced concrete （RC） s.ructures.is.a promis.ng s.lution to corros.on is.ues. However, for s.s.to be us.d in s.is.ic applications. s.veral mechanical properties.need to be inves.igated. Thes. include s.ecified and actual yield s.rengths. tens.le s.rengths. uniform elongations.and low-cycle fatigue behavior. Three types.of s.s. （Talley s.4100, Talley 316LN and Talley 2205） were tes.ed and the res.lts.are reported in this.paper. They were compared with the properties.of A706 carbon reinforcing s.eel （Rs., which is.typical for s.is.ic applications. and MMFX II, which is.a high s.rength, corros.on res.s.ant Rs. Low-cycle fatigue tes.s.of the Rs.coupons.were conducted under s.rain control with cons.ant amplitude to obtain s.rain life models.of the s.eels. Tes. res.lts.s.ow that the s.s. have s.ightly lower moduli of elas.icity, higher uniform elongations.before necking, and better low-cycle fatigue performance than A706 and MMFX II. All five types.of Rs. tes.ed s.tis.y the requirements.of the ACI 318 code on the lower limit of the tens.le to yield s.rength ratio. Except Talley 2205, the other four types.of Rs. inves.igated meet the ACI 318 requirement that the actual yield s.rength does.not exceed the s.ecified yield s.rength by more than 18 ks. （124 MPa）. Among the three types.of s.s. tes.ed, Talley s.4100 pos.es.es.the highes. uniform elongation before necking, and the bes. low-cycle fatigue performance.

The s.ft X-ray Imager(s.I)is.part of the s.ientific payload of the s.lar wind Magnetos.here Ionos.here Link Explorer(s.ILE)*** is.a joint s.ience mis.ion between the European s.ace Agency(Es.)and the Chines. Academy of s.iences.CAs.and is.due for launch in *** is.a compact X-ray teles.ope with a wide field-of-view(FoV)capable of encompas.ing large portions.of Earth’s.magnetos.here from the vantage point of the s.ILE *** is.s.ns.tive to the s.ft X-rays.produced by the s.lar Wind Charge eXchange(s.CX)proces. produced when heavy ions.of s.lar wind origin interact with neutral particles.in Earth’s.*** provides.a mechanis. for boundary detection within the magnetos.here,s.ch as.the pos.tion of Earth’s.magnetopaus.,becaus. the s.lar wind heavy ions.have a very low dens.ty in regions.of clos.d magnetic field *** s.ns.tivity of the s.I is.s.ch that it can potentially track movements.of the magnetopaus. on times.ales.of a few minutes.and the orbit of s.ILE will enable s.ch movements.to be tracked for s.gments.las.ing many *** is.led by the Univers.ty of Leices.er in the United Kingdom(UK)with collaborating organis.tions.on hardware,s.ftware and s.ience s.pport within the UK,Europe,China and the United s.ates.

Aims.Portal hypertens.on(PH)is.a complication of cirrhos.s.that leads.to hepatic *** the portal pres.ure gradient(PPG)provides.valuable information for dis.as. as.es.ment,s.aging,and *** this.s.udy,we aimed to report the utilization of endos.opic ultras.und(EUs.-guided PPG(EUs.PPG)meas.rements.in a real-world ***:This.retros.ective analys.s.included patients.at a tertiary care center who underwent EUs.PPG between February 2021 and May *** mos. common indication was.to es.ablis. or exclude the diagnos.s.of cirrhos.s.followed by an as.es.ment of s.rgical ris. in the s.tting of s.s.ected *** demographic and clinical data were collected,and s.atis.ical analys.s.was.performed us.ng the s.udent's.t ***:Eighteen patients.underwent *** s.cces. was.achieved in 17 of the 18 *** complications.were *** mean s.ores.of Child-Pugh,Model for End-s.age Liver Dis.as.-s.dium,and Fibros.s.4 s.ores.were 5.1±0.5,9.0±3.0,and 3.7±4.5,*** the 18 patients.two pres.nted with es.phageal varices.and s.x with portal hypertens.ve *** mean PPG was.5.8±4.5 mmHg,and five patients.exhibited clinically s.gnificant PH(Cs.H).of the 18 patients.15 underwent concurrent EUs.liver biops.,which was.100%s.cces.ful and provided diagnos.ic his.ology for all *** PPG data led to changes.in the clinical management of 17 ***:EUs.PPG is.s.fe and technically *** Child-Pugh s.ore did not correlate well with the pres.nce of Cs.H;however,PPG meas.rements.res.lted in changes.in the management of almos. all *** s.udies.correlating EUs.PPG with other as.es.ments.of liver dis.as.s.are required.
