Monofilament type of polyaromatic amide(PA)and carbon nanotube(CNT)composite fibers is presented.A concept of a lyotropic liquid crystal(LLC)constructed via a spontaneous self-assembly is introduced to mitigate the extremely low com-patibility between PA and *** approaches provide an effective co-processing route of PA and CNT simultaneously to fabricate the uniform,continuous,and reliable composite fibers through a ***,the addition of a small amount PA into the dope solution of CNT governs the LLC mesophase not only in a spinneret stage but also in a coagulant ***,the developed PA/CNT composite fibers have the high uniaxial orientational order and the close interfacial packing compared to the pure CNT *** PA/CNT composite fibers achieve the outstanding tensile strength,electrical conductivity,and electrochemical response,while maintaining a *** also exhibit the chemical,mechanical,and thermal *** of these advantages can make flexible,sewable,and washable PA/CNT composite fibers ideal nanocomposite materials for use in next-generation information and energy transporting system by replacing conventional metal electrical conductors.

Carbon and oxygen-rich corrosion barrier layer formed on Mg by a simple and scalable CO_(2) atmospheric plasma(CO_(2)-AP)*** reactive CO_(2)-AP interacts with the Mg surface and forms a unique layered structure with the top MgCO_(3)/MgO-intermixed particulates pillars and the bottom dense *** surface features were simultaneously formed on the nano-/micro-structured MgO layer by carbonate molecules,plasma-active CO_(2) molecules,and/or other volatile organic compounds on the nano-/micro-structured MgO particle *** resulting surfaces after CO_(2)-AP were either hydrophobic or hydrophilic and exhibited lower anodic current or high resistance for Mg *** the hydrophobic surfaces of CO_(2)-AP treated Mg,molecular dynamic simulations were performed to understand the origin of hydrophobicity and identified that the amorphous carbon layers formed on the Mg surface are the *** environmentally benign abundant-gas-based process enables the cost reduction associated with waste treatment,generation of by-product,and supply of raw material.

CD82 is a transmembrane protein that is involved in cancer suppression and activates immune cells;however, information on the NLRP3 inflammasome is limited. Herein, we show that although CD82 suppressed the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome in vivo and in vitro, CD82 deficiency decreased the severity of colitis in mice. Furthermore, two binding partners of CD82, NLRP3 and BRCC3, were identified. CD82 binding to these partners increased the degradation of NLRP3 by blocking BRCC3-dependent K63-specific deubiquitination. Previous studies have shown that CD82-specific bacteria in the colon microbiota called Bacteroides vulgatus (B. vulgatus) regulated the expression of CD82 and promoted the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. Accordingly, we observed that B. vulgatus administration increased mouse survival by mediating CD82 expression and activating NLRP3 in mice with colitis. Overall, this study showed that CD82 suppression reduced the pathogenesis of colitis by elevating the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome through BRCC3-dependent K63 deubiquitination. Based on our findings, we propose that B. vulgatus is a novel therapeutic candidate for colitis.

BACKGROUND Although the criteria for the indication of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)for undifferentiated early gastric cancer(UD-EGC)have been recently proposed,accumulating reports on the non-negligible rate of lymph node metastasis(LNM)after indicated ESD raise questions on the reliability of the current *** To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of LNM in UD-EGC cases meeting the expanded indication for *** We retrospectively reviewed 4780 UD-EGC cases that underwent surgical resection between January 2008 and February 2019 at Asan Medical Center,a tertiary university hospital in *** identify the risk factors of LNM of UDEGC meeting the expanded criteria for ESD,we performed a case-control study by matching the cases with LNM to those without at a ratio of 1:*** reviewed the clinical,endoscopic,and histologic features of the cases to identify features with a significant difference according to the presence of *** and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to estimate the odds ratios(ORs).REsuLTS Of the 4780 UD-EGC cases,1240(25.9%)were identified to meet the expanded indication for *** the 1240 cases,14(1.1%)cases had *** the various clinical,endoscopic,and histopathological features that were evaluated,mixed histology(tumors consisting of 10%-90%of signet ring cells)had a marginally significant association(P=0.059)with the risk of ***,diffuse blurring of the muscularis mucosae(MM)underneath the tumorous epithelium,a previously unrecognized histologic feature,had a significant association with the absence of LNM(P=0.028).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the blurring of MM was the only explanatory variable significantly associated with a reduced risk of LNM(OR:0.12,95%CI:0.02-0.95;P=0.045).CONCLUSION The risk of LNM is higher than expected when using the current expanded indication for *** evaluation could provide useful clues for reducing the

Zn1-xCoxO films were grown on glass by sol-gel spin coating process. A homogeneous and stable Zn1-xCoxO sol was prepared by dissolving zinc acetate dihydrate, cobalt acetate tetrahydrate and aluminium chloride hexahydrate as solutes in solution of isopropanol and monoethanolamine. The films were postheated and vacuum annealed, and investigated for c-axis preferred orientation and electromagnetic properties. Zn1-xCoxO films with different Co concentrations were oriented well along the c-axis, especially the Zn1-xCoxO film with 10% Co(atom fraction) was highly c-axis oriented. The transmittance spectra show that Zn1-xCoxO films occur d-d transition and sp-d exchange interaction between Co2+ ions. The electrical resistivity of the films at 10% Co had the lowest value because the crystallite size became largest and the crystallinity of the c-axis was improved. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and alternating gradient magnetometer analyses indicated that no Co metal cluster was formed, and the ferromagnetism at room temperature appeared. The characteristics of the electrical resistivity and room temperature ferromagnetism of sol-gel derived Zn1-xCoxO films suggest a potential application of dilute magnetic semiconductor devices.

Objective:To demonstrate the effect of dieckol from Eisenia bicyclis on osteoclastogenesis using RAW 264.7 ***:Murine macrophage RAW 264.7 cells were subjected to dieckol treatment,followed by treatment with receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand(RANKL)to induce ***-resistant acid phosphatase(TRAP)activity was examined using a TRAP activity *** blotting analysis was conducted to examine the level of osteoclast-related factors,including TRAP and calcitonin receptor(CTR),transcriptional factors,including c-Fos,c-Jun,and nuclear factor of activated T cells cytoplasmic 1(NFATc1),nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB),extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK),and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK).Immunofluorescence staining was conducted to examine the expression of c-Fos,c-Jun,and ***:Among the four phlorotannin compounds present in Eisenia bicyclis,dieckol significantly hindered osteoclast differentiation and expression of RANKL-induced TRAP and *** addition,dieckol downregulated the expression levels of c-Fos,c-Jun,NFATc1,ERK,and JNK,and suppressed NF-κB ***:Dieckol can suppress RANKL-induced ***,it has therapeutic potential in treating osteoclastogenesis-associated diseases.

Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4(IRAK4)is a pivotal enzyme in the Toll-like receptor(TLR)/MYD88 dependent signaling pathway,which is highly activated in rheumatoid arthritis tissues and activated B cell-like diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(ABC-DLBCL).Inflammatory responses followed by IRAK4 activation promote B-cell proliferation and aggressiveness of ***,proviral integration site for Moloney murine leukemia virus 1(PIM1)functions as an anti-apoptotic kinase in propagation of ABC-DLBCL with ibrutinib *** developed a dual IRAK4/PIM1 inhibitor KIC-0101 that potently suppresses the NF-κB pathway and proinflammatory cytokine induction in vitro and in *** rheumatoid arthritis mouse models,treatment with KIC-0101 significantly ameliorated cartilage damage and ***-0101 inhibited the nuclear translocation of NF-κB and activation of JAK/STAT pathway in *** addition,KIC-0101 exhibited an anti-tumor effect on ibrutinib-resistant cells by synergistic dual suppression of TLR/MYD88-mediated NF-κB pathway and PIM1 *** results suggest that KIC-0101 is a promising drug candidate for autoimmune diseases and ibrutinib-resistant B-cell lymphomas.

In this perspective article,the synthesis and thermodynamic properties of aqueous solutions of formate salts(FS,HCO2-)are described in relationship to the concept of *** physiochemical properties of solid FS,aqueous formate solutions,and aqueous bicarbonate solutions set the limitations for storage capacity,deliverable capacity,and usable H2capacity of these H2carriers,*** parameters will help in the design of systems that use H2carriers for storage and transport of H2for fuel cell power ***,as well as admixtures with formic acid(FA,H2CO2),have potential to address the goals outlined in the *** of Energy’s H2@scale initiative to store in chemical bonds a significant quantity of energy(hundreds of megawatts)obtained from large scale renewable resources.
