Background：Research has been conducted linking sports participation and health in childhood and adolescence;however,little is known about the contribution of sport to women＇s *** purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between sport and women＇s health in the USA by analyzing data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System（BRFSS）.Methods：This study was a secondary data analysis of the 2013 national BRFSS *** the BRFSS core component from previous years,in2013,participants were questioned extensively about their physical activity ***-six different activities were identifie by the *** researchers categorized the 76 activities as sport,conditioning exercise,recreation,or household tasks based on previously identifie *** regression was utilized to calculate odds ratios and adjusted odds ratios for chronic diseases based on physical activity ***：Women who participated in sport had better health outcomes with significant y lower odds for all chronic diseases except asthma and better general health than women who participated in conditioning exercise,household tasks,or recreation,and many of the significan differences remained after controlling for demographic ***：Sport participation was associated with more positive health outcomes among women in the USA compared with the other *** a means to improve health of women,the USA could focus on efforts to increase sport participation among women.

A variation of the direct Taylor expansion algorithm is suggested and applied to several linear and nonlinear differential equations of interest in physics and engineering, and the results are compared with those obtained from other algorithms. It is shown that the suggested algorithm competes strongly with other existing algorithms, both in accuracy and ease of application, while demanding a shorter computation time.

This paper describes our implementation of several neural networks built on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) and used to recognize a handwritten digit dataset—the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (MNIST) database. We also propose a novel hardware-friendly activation function called the dynamic Rectifid linear Unit (RelU)—D-RelU function that achieves higher performance than traditional activation functions at no cost to accuracy. We built a 2-layer online training multilayer perceptron (MlP) neural network on an FPGA with varying data width. Reducing the data width from 8 to 4 bits only reduces prediction accuracy by 11%, but the FPGA area decreases by 41%. Compared to networks that use the sigmoid functions, our proposed D-RelU function uses 24% - 41% less area with no loss to prediction accuracy. Further reducing the data width of the 3-layer networks from 8 to 4 bits, the prediction accuracies only decrease by 3% - 5%, with area being reduced by 9% - 28%. Moreover, FPGA solutions have 29 times faster execution time, even despite running at a 60× lower clock rate. Thus, FPGA implementations of neural networks offer a high-performance, low power alternative to traditional software methods, and our novel D-RelU activation function offers additional improvements to performance and power saving.

Background： Hamburger is the most consumed beef product in North America, but lacks in nutritional appeal due to its high fat content and high proportion of saturated fatty acids （SFA）. Objectives of the present study were to improve the FA profiles of hamburgers made with perirenal fat （PRF） and subcutaneous fat （SCF） when feeding steers different diets along with examining differences in sensory attributes and oxidative stability. Diets included a control diet containing 70：30 red clover silage： barley based concentrate, a diet containing sunflower-seed （SS） substituted for barley, and diets containing SS with 15% wheat dried distillers＇ grain with solubles （DDGS-15） or 30% DDGS （DDGS-30）. Hamburgers were made from triceps brachii and either PRF or SCF （80：20 w/w）. Results： Perirenal fat versus SCF hamburgers FA had 14.3% more （P 〈0.05） 18：0, 11.8% less cis （c）9-18：1 （P 〈0.05）, and 1.82% more total trdns （t）-18：1 mainly in the form of tl 1-18：1. During sensory evaluation, PRF versus SCF hamburgers had greater （P 〈0.05） mouth coating, but the difference was less than one panel unit. Examining effects of steer diet within PRF hamburgers, feeding the SS compared to the control diet increased （P 〈0.05） t-18：1 by 2.89% mainly in the form of tl 1-18：1, feeding DGGS-15 diet led to no further changes （P 〉0.05）, but feeding DDGS-30 diet reduced the proportions of （P 〈0.05） of t-18：1 chiefly tl 1-18：1. Feeding SS and DDGS diets had small but significant （P 〈0.05） effects on hamburger sensory attributes and oxidative stability. Conclusions： Feeding high-forage diets including SS and 15% DDGS, and taking advantage of the FA heterogeneity between fat depots offers an opportunity to differentially enhance beef hamburgers with 18：2n-6 biohydrogenation products （le., t11-18：1） with potential human health benefits without compromising their sensory attributes and oxidative stability during retail display.

Heart failure(HF)is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States.[1]A chronically,disabling and debilitating condition,HF often results in hospital admission and subsequent readmission.[2]After hos-pitalization,nearly 25%of older adults with HF are discharged to skilled nursing facilities(SNFs)for re-habilitation due to difficulties with functioning in-dependently.[3]Critically,patients with HF dis-charged to SNFs also show significantly higher rates of mortality.[2]Identifying factors that predict mortality among this important patient population,especially factors that could be addressed in the hospital setting,is an important step toward im-proving survivability among these patients.

Magnesium-ion-conducting solid polymer electrolytes have been studied for rechargeable Mg metal batteries,one of the beyond-li-ion *** this paper,magnesium polymer electrolytes with magnesium bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide(Mg(TFSI)2)salt in poly(ε-caprolactone-co-trimethylene carbonate)(PCl-PTMC)were investigated and compared with the poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)*** thermal properties and vibrational spectroscopy indicated that the total ion conduction in the PEO electrolytes was dominated by the anion conduction due to strong polymer coordination with fully dissociated Mg2+.On the other hand,in PCl-PTMC electrolytes,there is relatively weaker polymer–cation coordination and increased anion–cation *** Mg-and F-rich particles were observed on the Cu electrodes after polarization tests in Cu|Mg cells with PCl-PTMC electrolyte,suggesting that Mg was conducted in the ion complex form(MgxTFSIy)to the copper working electrode to be reduced which resulted in anion ***,the Mg metal deposition/stripping was not favorable with either Mg(TFSI)2 in PCl-PTMC or Mg(TFSI)2 in PEO,which inhibited quantitative analysis of magnesium conduction.A remaining challenge is thus to accurately assess transport numbers in these systems.

Objective:The main objective of this initiative was to present evaluation results from an inno-vative adaptation of the Advanced life Support in Obstetrics(AlSO)training *** modified the traditional AlSO curriculum in our institution by adding hands-on training in laceration repairs and simulation scenarios on acute maternity ***:The modified AlSO provider course was designed to enhance cognitive and proce-dural skills of health care professionals in managing obstetric ***-nine participants attended this course and completed a posttraining *** statistics were used to de-scribe the participant-reported assessment scores for the AlSO course on three domains(subject knowledge,organization and clarity,and teaching effectiveness)for each of 12 course ***:Evaluation of the results showed a high rate of trainee satisfaction as evidenced by the mean assessment scores across all topics ranging from 4.80 to 4.98(out of 5.00).All trainees said they would refer others to the *** modified AlSO course effectively addressed the important needs of primary care physicians involved in maternity care,especially in underserved communities where specialized obstetric care is not readily *** simulation scenarios and workshops using simulated human tissue provide a better foundation before formal ***:Given the changing legal and regulatory climate,we expect that learning to treat complex obstetric situations on the job will become increasingly *** this in mind,both simulation scenarios and workshops using simulated human tissue will provide a better foundation before formal training.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been related to be toxic and to have a role in human physiological functions. Therefore, there is a necessity to comprehend ways to scavenger hydrogen sulfide from different media. Here, we used recombinant metaquo-Hemoglobin I (metHbI) from lucina pectinata and metaquo-myoglobin (metMb) encapsulated in the tetramethyl orthosilicate gel (TMOS), to facilitate the understanding of H2S transfer toward these metaquo-hemeproteins. In this sol-gel environment, metHbI binds and releases H2S with rate constants of 0.0597 M-1·s-1 and 6.67 × 10-5 s-1, respectively. The process generates an H2S affinity constant (kon/koff) of 8.9 × 102 M-1, which is 107 lowers than the analogous constant in solution (6.3 × 109 M-1). Although the H2S koff for the rHbI-H2S complex is almost similar with both sol-gel and solution. To further understand how the H2S koff from rHbI-H2S in solution (5 μM) is influenced by the protein concentration gradient, metHbI and metMb (25 μM) encapsulated in TMOS sol-gel. Under these circumstances, the H2S transfer from a solution of the rHbI-H2S complex to encapsulated hemeprotein resulted in koff values of 1.90 × 10-4 s-1, and 2.09 × 10-4 s-1 leading to the formation of rHbI-H2S and Mb-H2S species, respectively. The results suggest that the: 1) extreme ionic TMOS construct limits the H2S pathways to reach the hemeprotein active center, 2) possible interaction with metHbI hydrophilic forces increases the hydrogen bonding networking and decreases the H2S association constant, 3) hemeproteins concentration gradients between solution and sol-gels also influence its hydrogen sulfide transfer. In the presence of oxygen or hydrogen peroxide metMb generated a mixture of Mb-H2S and sulfmyoglobin derivative, while encapsulated metHbI reaction did not produce the sulfheme species. Consequently, the results show that metHbI encapsulated in TMOS is an excellent trap for H2S from solution or gas media.
