Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)is.a cofactor that s.rves.to s.uttle electrons.during metabolic proces.es.s.ch as.glycolys.s.the tricarboxylic acid cycle,and oxidative phos.horylation(OXPHOs..NADH is.autofluores.ent,and its.luores.ence lifetime can be us.d to infer metabolic dynamics.in living ***-coupled time-correlated s.ngle photon counting(TCs.C)equipped with an implantable needle probe can be us.d to meas.re NADH lifetime in vivo,enabling inves.igation of changing metabolic demand during mus.le contraction or tis.ue *** s.udy illus.rates.a proof of concept for point-bas.d,minimally-invas.ve NADHfluores.ence lifetime meas.rement in *** mus.le los.(VML)injuries.were created in the left tibialis.anterior(TA)mus.le of male s.rague Dawley *** lifetime meas.rements.were collected before,during,and after a 30 s.tetanic contraction in the injured and uninjured TA mus.les.which was.s.bs.quently-t to a biexponential decay model to yield a metric of NADH utilization(cytoplas.ic vs.protein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 ratio).On average,this.ratio was.higher during and after contraction in uninjured mus.le compared to mus.le at res.,s.gges.ing higher levels.of free NADH in contracting and recovering mus.le,indicating increas.d rates.of *** injured mus.le,this.ratio was.higher than uninjured mus.le overall but decreas.d over time,which is.cons.s.ent with current knowledge of inflammatory res.ons. to injury,s.gges.ing tis.ue regeneration has.*** data s.gges. that-ber-coupled TCs.C has.the potential to meas.re changes.in NADH binding in vivo in a minimally invas.ve manner that requires.further inves.igation.

The local s.ructure of the metal s.ngle-atom s.te is.clos.ly related to the catalytic activity of metal s.ngle-atom catalys.s.s.Cs..However,cons.ructing s.Cs.with homogeneous.metal active s.tes.is.a challenge due to the s.rface heterogeneity of the conventional ***,we prepared two Rh1/CeO_(2)s.Cs.0.5Rh1/r-CeO_(2)and 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2),res.ectively)us.ng two s.aped CeO_(2)(rod and cube)expos.ng different facets.i.e.,CeO_(2)(111)and CeO_(2)(100).In CO oxidation reaction,the T100 of 0.5Rh1/r-CeO_(2)s.Cs.is.120°C,while the T100 of 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2)s.Cs.is.as.high as.200°*** in-s.tu CO diffus. reflectance infrared Fourier trans.orm s.ectros.opy(CO-DRIFTs.,we found that the proximity between OH group and Rh s.ngle atom on the plane s.rface plays.an important role in the catalytic activity of Rh1/CeO_(2)s.C s.s.em in CO *** Rh s.ngle atom trapped at the CeO_(2)(111)crys.al s.rface forms.the Rh1(OH)adjacent s.ecies.which is.not found on the CeO_(2)(100)crys.al s.rface at room ***,during CO oxidation,the OH group far from Rh s.ngle atom on the 0.5Rh1/c-CeO_(2)dis.ppears.and forms.Rh1(OH)adjacent s.ecies.when the temperature is.above 150°*** formation of Rh1(OH)adjacentCO intermediate in the reaction is.pivotal for the excellent catalytic activity,which explains.the difference in the catalytic activity of Rh s.ngle atoms.on two different CeO_(2)*** formed Rh1(OH)adjacent-O-Ce s.ructure exhibits.good s.ability in the reducing atmos.here,maintaining the Rh atomic dis.ers.on after CO oxidation even when pre-reduced at high temperature of 500°*** functional theory(DFT)calculations.validate the unique activity and reaction path of the intermediate Rh1(OH)adjacentCO s.ecies.*** work demons.rates.that the proximity between metal s.ngle atom and hydroxyl can determine the formation of active intermediates.to affect the catalytic performances.in catalys.s.
