Efficient detection of single optical centr.s in solids is essential for.quantum infor.ation pr.cessing, sensing and single-photon gener.tion *** this wor.,we use r.dio-fr.quency（r.） r.flectometr. to electr.cally detect the photoionisation induced by a single Er.+ion in *** high bandwidth and sensitivity of the r. r.flectometr. pr.vide sub-100-ns time r.solution for.the photoionisation *** this technique,the optically excited state lifetime of a single Er.+ion in a Si nano-tr.nsistor.is measur.d for.the fir.t time to be 0.49±0.04μ*** r.sults demonstr.te an efficient appr.ach for.detecting a char.e state change induced by Er.excitation and *** appr.ach could be used for.fast r.adout of other.single optical centr.s in solids and is attr.ctive for.lar.e-scale integr.ted optical quantum systems thanks to the multi-channel r. r.flectometr. demonstr.ted with fr.quency multiplexing techniques.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)is a cofactor.that ser.es to shuttle electr.ns dur.ng metabolic pr.cesses such as glycolysis,the tr.car.oxylic acid cycle,and oxidative phosphor.lation(OXPHOS).NADH is autofluor.scent,and itsfluor.scence lifetime can be used to infer.metabolic dynamics in living ***-coupled time-cor.elated single photon counting(TCSPC)equipped with an implantable needle pr.be can be used to measur. NADH lifetime in vivo,enabling investigation of changing metabolic demand dur.ng muscle contr.ction or.tissue *** study illustr.tes a pr.of of concept for.point-based,minimally-invasive NADHfluor.scence lifetime measur.ment in *** muscle loss(VML)injur.es wer. cr.ated in the left tibialis anter.or.TA)muscle of male Spr.gue Dawley *** lifetime measur.ments wer. collected befor.,dur.ng,and after.a 30 s tetanic contr.ction in the injur.d and uninjur.d TA muscles,which was subsequently-t to a biexponential decay model to yield a metr.c of NADH utilization(cytoplasmic vs pr.tein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 r.tio).On aver.ge,this r.tio was higher.dur.ng and after.contr.ction in uninjur.d muscle compar.d to muscle at r.st,suggesting higher.levels of fr.e NADH in contr.cting and r.cover.ng muscle,indicating incr.ased r.tes of *** injur.d muscle,this r.tio was higher.than uninjur.d muscle over.ll but decr.ased over.time,which is consistent with cur.ent knowledge of inflammator. r.sponse to injur.,suggesting tissue r.gener.tion has *** data suggest that-ber.coupled TCSPC has the potential to measur. changes in NADH binding in vivo in a minimally invasive manner.that r.quir.s fur.her.investigation.
