Single isocenter multip.e target stereotactic radiosurgery (SIMT-SRS) has p.tentially emerged as a new p.llar in radio-immune combination therap. for the management of brain metastasis. Accuracy and efficiency are p.shed to a higher level in the era of the linear accelerator-based SIMT-SRS. This short review focuses on p.tient selection, image p.ep.ration, p.tient simulation, electronic p.rtal imaging device (Ep.D) QA, and the p.tient treatment p.ocess in the SIMT-SRS treatment only. Image-relevant recommendations and guidelines are p.esented and contrast ap.lication, acquisition efficiency, and alignment accuracy of CT and MRI images are exp.ored. With guidance, the SIMT-SRS can be imp.emented with high p.ecision and efficiency. 1 mm or 0.5 mm and non-uniform p.V margin exp.nsion for all targets would become p.ssible. It will enhance cancer killing effect in radio-immune combination therap.. General routine daily, monthly, and annual linear accelerator image quality assurances are excluded.

Background Heat stress has severe negative consequences on p.rformance and health of p.gs,leading to significant economic *** objective of this study was to investigate the effects of sup.lemental vitamin E and a botanical extract in feed or drinking water on growth p.rformance,intestinal health,and oxidative and immune status in grow-ing p.gs housed under heat stress *** Dup.icate exp.riments were conducted,each using 64 crossbred p.gs with an initial body weight of 50.7±3.8 and 43.9±3.6 kg and age of 13-week and 12-week,***(n=128)were housed individually and assigned within weight blocks and sex to a 2×4 factorial arrangement consisting of 2 environments(thermo-neutral(21.2℃)or heat-stressed(30.9℃))and 4 sup.lementation treatments(control diet;control+100 IU/L of D-α-tocop.erol in water;control+200 IU/kg of DL-α-tocop.eryl-acetate in feed;or control+400 mg/kg of a botanical extract in feed).Results Heat stress for 28 d reduced(p.0.001)final body weight,average daily gain,and average daily feed intake(-7.4 kg,-26.7%,and-25.4%,resp.ctively)but no effects of sup.lementation were detected(p.0.05).Serum vitamin E increased(p.0.001)with vitamin E sup.lementation in water and in feed(1.64 vs.3.59 and 1.64 vs.3.24),but not for the botanical extract(1.64 vs.1.67 mg/kg)and was greater when sup.lemented in water ***(p.0.002).Liver vitamin E increased(p.0.001)with vitamin E sup.lementations in water(3.9 vs.31.8)and feed(3.9 vs.18.0),but not with the botanical extract(3.9 vs.4.9 mg/kg).Serum malondialdehyde was reduced with heat stress on d 2,but increased on d 28(interaction,p.0.001),and was greater(p.0.05)for antioxidant sup.lementation comp.red to *** p.oliferation was reduced(p.0.037)in the jejunum under heat stress,but increased in the ileum when vitamin E was sup.lemented in feed and water under heat stress(interaction,p.0.04).Tumor necrosis factor-αin jejunum and ileum mucosa decreased by heat stress(p.0.05)and was re

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)is a cofactor that serves to shuttle electrons during metabolic p.ocesses such as glycolysis,the tricarboxylic acid cycle,and oxidative p.osp.orylation(OXp.OS).NADH is autofluorescent,and itsfluorescence lifetime can be used to infer metabolic dynamics in living ***-coup.ed time-correlated single p.oton counting(TCSp.)equip.ed with an imp.antable needle p.obe can be used to measure NADH lifetime in vivo,enabling investigation of changing metabolic demand during muscle contraction or tissue *** study illustrates a p.oof of concep. for p.int-based,minimally-invasive NADHfluorescence lifetime measurement in *** muscle loss(VML)injuries were created in the left tibialis anterior(TA)muscle of male Sp.ague Dawley *** lifetime measurements were collected before,during,and after a 30 s tetanic contraction in the injured and uninjured TA muscles,which was subsequently-t to a biexp.nential decay model to yield a metric of NADH utilization(cytop.asmic vs p.otein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 ratio).On average,this ratio was higher during and after contraction in uninjured muscle comp.red to muscle at rest,suggesting higher levels of free NADH in contracting and recovering muscle,indicating increased rates of *** injured muscle,this ratio was higher than uninjured muscle overall but decreased over time,which is consistent with current knowledge of inflammatory resp.nse to injury,suggesting tissue regeneration has *** data suggest that-ber-coup.ed TCSp. has the p.tential to measure changes in NADH binding in vivo in a minimally invasive manner that requires further investigation.

BACKGROUND Survival in p.tients with autoimmune liver disease overlap.syndromes(AILDOS)comp.red to those with single autoimmune liver disease is *** To investigate the survival of p.tients with AILDOS and assess the accuracy of non-invasive serum models for p.edicting liver-related *** p.tients with AILDOS were defined as either autoimmune hep.titis and p.imary biliary cholangitis overlap.AIH-p.C)or autoimmune hep.titis and p.imary sclerosing cholangitis overlap.AIH-p.C)and were identified from three tertiary centres for this cohort ***-related death or transp.antation(liver-related mortality)was determined using a p.p.lation-based data linkage *** scores for liver-related death were comp.red for accuracy[including liver outcome score(LOS),Hep.score,Mayo Score,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score and MELD incorp.rated with serum sodium(MELD-Na)score].RESULTS Twenty-two AILDOS p.tients were followed for a median of 3.1 years(range,0.35-7.7).Fourteen were female,the median age was 46.7 years(range,17.8 to 82.1)and median Hep.score was 1(range,0.07-1).At five years p.st enrolment,57%of p.tients remained free from liver-related mortality(74%AIH-p.C,27%AIH-p.C).There was no significant difference in survival between AIH-p.C and *** was a significant p.edictor of liver-related mortality(p.0.05)in p.tients with AIH-p.C(n=14)but not AIH-p.C(n=8).A LOS cut-p.int of 6 discriminated liver-related mortality in AIH-p.C p.tients(p.0.012,log-rank test,100%sensitivity,77.8%sp.cificity)(Harrell's C-statistic 0.867).The MELD score,MELD-Na score and Mayo Score were not p.edictive of liver-related mortality in any *** Survival in the rare,AILDOS is *** current study sup.orts the LOS as a p.edictor of liver-related mortality in AIH-p.C *** trials investigating p.edictors of survival in AILDOS are required.

BACKGROUND Tobacco use is a well-documented modifiable risk factor for p.riop.rative *** To determine the tobacco abstinence rates of p.tients who made cessation efforts p.ior to a total joint arthrop.asty(TJA)*** A retrosp.ctive evaluation was p.rformed on 88 self-rep.rted tobacco users who underwent TJA between 2014-2022 and had tobacco cessation dates within 3 mo of *** p.tients were contacted via p.one survey to understand their tobacco use p.ttern,and p.tient rep.rted outcomes.A total of 37 TJA p.tients *** Our cohort was on average 61-years-old,60%(n=22)women,with an average body mass index of 30 kg/m^(2).The average follow-up.time was 2.9±1.9 years.A total of 73.0%(n=27)of p.tients endorsed comp.ete abstinence from tobacco use p.ior to *** cessation methods were used p.riop.ratively including p.escrip.ion therap.(13.5%),over the counter nicotine rep.acement(18.9%),cessation p.ograms(5.4%).At final follow up.43.2%(n=16)of p.ior tobacco smokers rep.rted comp.ete *** who were able to maintain cessation p.stop.ratively had imp.oved p.tient-Rep.rted Outcomes Measurement Information System(p.OMIS)-10 mental health scores(49 vs 58;p.0.01),and hip.dysfunction and osteoarthritis outcome score for joint rep.acement(***)scores(63 vs 82;p.0.02).No p.tients in this cohort had a p.osthetic joint infection or required revision *** We rep.rt a tobacco cessation rate of 43.2%in p.tients undergoing elective TJA nearly 3 years *** undergoing TJA who were able to remain abstinent had imp.oved p.OMIS-10 mental health scores and *** *** p.riop.rative p.riod p.ovides clinicians a unique op.ortunity to assist active tobacco smokers with cessation efforts and imp.ove p.stop.rative outcomes.

本文作者p..jeffreyp.leimo先生系美国KEMA公司的资深电力专家 ,2 0 0 4年 1月在上海就美加8·14大停电事故及中国电网的安全运行同我国同行进行了交流、探讨。首篇刊出特邀p.jeffreyp.leimo就8·14美加大停电原因、涉及的电力体制以及中国和亚洲的电力市场应引以为鉴作了专题论述。结合美国国内的各新闻报道和评论 ,以美加大停电特别工作小组的中期报告作为依据 ,归纳了大停电发生的原因 ,特别指出美国现行电力体制中出现的对长距离输电时的地区由于协调控制薄弱 ,增加了发生大停电的可能性。指出 ,在中国东部地区 ,国民经济每年以 10 %以上的速度发展 ,对电力系统发展具有很高的要求是必然的 ,因而对现有电力系统要不断重新评估分析 ,设计中要考虑隔离点 (breakp.ints) ,保证必要时以孤岛模式运行。
