目的儿童青少年重度抑郁症（MDD）是一种在全球范围内以高复发率、高致残率为特点的疾病,但其病理机制尚未得到充分阐明并且有效治疗方式有限。方法利用超高效液相色谱-四极杆飞行时间质谱对血浆进行了代谢组学分析,以寻找儿童青少年抑郁症的潜在生物标志物。我们共招募了134名儿童和青少年,包括52名首发DN-MDD患者（男性/女性:27/25）、32名DT-MDD患者（男性/女性:15/17）和50名HCs患者（男性/女性:27/23）,分别采集其血浆样本进行代谢谱和生物信息学分析。结果发现了几种紊乱的通路与儿童青少年抑郁症密切相关,包括脂肪酸代谢（尤其是多不饱和脂肪酸代谢）和嘌呤代谢,共鉴定出35种代谢物（DN-MDD vs. HCs）, 36种代谢物（DT-MDD vs. HCs）, 6种代谢物（DT-MDD ***-MDD）组间差异具有统计学意义。为进一步探索识别儿童和青少年MDD潜在生物诊断标志物的可能性,我们进行了二元逻辑回归分析,证明肌苷是潜在的MDD独立诊断生物标志物。通过ROC分析,在区分未用药的MDD患者和健康对照组,其ROC曲线下面积达到0.999,并且区分药物治疗后的MDD患者和健康对照组的曲线下面积为0.866。同时,我们还发现了儿童青少年MDD病理生理学与成人MDD不同,后者主要是与色氨酸代谢相关。结论通过代谢组学分析,发现代谢紊乱与儿童青少年MDD的病理机制和诊断生物标志物之间存在紧密联系。

During the last 10 years, a lot of interests have been devoted to the so-called CDC (colossal dielectric constant) materials. The first materials exhibiting this behavior were the perovskite-based ceramics on the CCTO (CaCu3Ti4O12) composition. Relative dielectric permittivity can attain values up to (or even larger than) 105. Nevertheless, their dielectric losses are too high, the lower values ranging 10%, in a narrow frequency range, thus limiting their applications. The underlying physical mechanisms at the origin of the CDC are still under study. The analysis of broadband impedance spectroscopy measurements leads most of the authors to propose an interfacial polarization mechanism (at the electrodes or at internal barriers), there is a limited number of complementary electrical characterization techniques, which, up to now, comfort the proposed interfacial polarization mechanisms. In the present work, I-V and time-domain polarization are used to characterize these materials. One of the main results is the observation of a non-symmetrical response of these materials related to the direction of the polarization. These results are observed for both macroscopic level on bulk polycrystalline material and within individual grains of the same samples. These results do not fit current accepted models for polarization for CDC materials.

In this paper we describe the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to accretion flows in the strong field gravity regime around both stellar-mass and supermassive black-holes. eXTP has the unique capability of using advanced "spectral-timing-polarimetry" techniques to analyze the rapid variations with three orthogonal diagnostics of the flow and its geometry, yielding unprecedented insight into the inner accreting regions, the effects of strong field gravity on the material within them and the powerful outflows which are driven by the accretion process.

Tumours progressively develop chemoresistance and immunoescape abilities thanks to support from their stromal microenvironment. In ovarian carcinomas, for instance, tumour-associated mesenchymal stem cells (TAMC) can transfer multi-drug-resistant proteins to develop metastases. However, since the microenvironment of such carcinomas is frequently infiltrated by both TAMC and γδ T lymphocytes, the consequences of interactions between these cell types were unclear. Here, we report that whilst γδ T lymphocytes were not activated when co-incubated in vitro with TAMC, their cell membranes were trogocytosed by the TAMC. Since TAMC constitutively express a low level of HLA class I, which is increased by trogocytosis of γδ cell-derived HLA class I, the interaction increased the expression of HLA class-I molecules on TAMC. In addition, γδ T lymphocytes are HLA-unrestricted cytolytic cells and their activity is regulated by inhibitory receptors (KIR) for self-HLA class I. Hence, although the lytic activity of γδ T lymphocytes for unrelated target cells was unaffected by trogocytosis, it spared the TAMC. Therefore, interactions between TAMC and cytolytic γδ T cells avoided the killing of these stromal cells due to an active transfer of their protective HLA class-I molecules. These results suggest that trogocytosis contributes to the maintenance of cancer-associated stromal cells.

Microscopic enteritis(ME) is an inflammatory condition of the small bowel that leads to gastrointestinal symptoms,nutrient and micronutrient *** is characterised by microscopic or sub-microscopic abnormalities such as microvillus changes and enterocytic alterations in the absence of definite macroscopic changes using standard modern *** work recognises a need to characterize disorders with microscopic and submicroscopic features,currently regarded as functional or non-specific entities,to obtain further understanding of their clinical *** consensus working party reviewed statements about the aetiology,diagnosis and symptoms associated with ME and proposes an algorithm for its investigation and *** the 5th International Course in Digestive Pathology in Bucharest in November 2012,an international group of 21 interested pathologists and gastroenterologists formed a working party with a view to formulating a consensus statement on ME.A five-step agreement scale(from strong agreement to strong disagreement) was used to score 21 statements,*** was strong agreement on all statements about ME histology(95%-100%).Statements concerning diagnosis achieved 85% to 100% agreement.A statement on the management of ME elicited agreement from the lowest rate(60%) up to 100%.The remaining two categories showed general agreement between experts on clinical presentation(75%-95%) and pathogenesis(80%-90%) of *** was strong agreement on the histological definition of *** agreement on management indicates a need for further investigations,better definitions and clinical trials to produce quality guidelines for *** ME consensus is a step toward greater recognition of a significant entity affecting symptomatic patients previously labelled as non-specific or functional enteropathy.

Background: Plasmodium falciparum malaria remains a major life-threatening disease. Recently, the Plasmodium apoptosis-linked pathogenicity factors (PALPF) have been identified. These antigens PALPF are expressed only by P. falciparum-infected erythrocytes triggering endothelial cell apoptosis (apoptogenic). Methods: We designed ten synthetic peptides (P1 to P10) from PALPF: PF07_0032, PF10_0226, PFI0130c, PFD0875c and MAL13P1.206, and analyzed their antigenicity with an ELISA method using plasma samples from subjects living in Dienga, Gabon. Results: Four peptides showed good reactivity with human antibodies. The prevalence rate of specific IgG was 61%, 51%, 44% and 34% for P5, P6, P4 and P2, respectively. The median optical density of total IgG anti-P2 was higher than that directed against P4 and P6 (P = 0.009; P = 0.012 respectively). The prevalence rate of IgG subclasses determined with plasma samples recognizing peptide 5 for IgG1, 2, 3 and 4 isotypes was 69%, 45%, 76% and 62%, respectively. All the subjects had at least one immunoglobulin subclass, while 13 (44%) had both IgG1 and IgG3 antibodies. There was no significant difference in the prevalence rate of anti-P5 IgG1, IgG3 and IgG4. Conclusion: These results warrant further immunogenicity studies of peptides 2, 4, 5 and 6 with a view of a tentative to antimalarial vaccine development.
