Growing concerns for food security and the alleviation of hunger necessitate knowledge-based crop management technologies for sustainable crop *** this study,13 winter bread wheat genotypes(old,relatively old,modern,and breeding lines)were evaluated under three different tillage systems,i.e.,conventional tillage(CT,full tillage with residue removed),reduced tillage(RT,chisel tillage with residue retained)and no-tillage(NT,no-tillage with residue retained on the soil surface)in farmer’s fields under rainfed conditions using strip-plot arrangements in a randomized complete block design with three replications in the west of Iran(Kamyaran and Hosseinabad locations)over two cropping seasons(2018–2019 and 2019–2020).The main objectives were to investigate the effects of tillage systems and growing conditions on the agronomic characteristics,grain yield and stability performance of rainfed winter bread wheat ***(P<0.01)genotype×tillage system interaction effects on grain yield and agronomic traits suggested that the genotypes responded differently to the different tillage *** number of grains per spike and plant height were positively(P<0.0)associated with grain yield under the NT system,so they may be considered as targeted traits for future wheat *** statistical models,the modern cultivars(“Sadra”and“Baran”)were identified as high yielding and showed yield stability across the different tillage *** per each tillage system,genotype“Sadra”followed by“Zargana-6//Dari 1-7 Sabalan”exhibited higher adaption to CT;while cultivars“Jam”and“Azar2”showed better performance under the RT system;and cultivars“Varan”and“Baran”tended to have better performance expression in the NT *** increased grain yields achieved in combination with lower costs and greater profits from conservation agriculture suggest that adapted cultivar and NT systems should be evaluated and promoted more widely to farmers in the west of Iran as an a

Mixed culture of Chlorella sp. and wastewater wild algae for enhanced biomass and lipid accumulation in artificial wastewater medium

The purpose of this work is to study the co-cultivation of Chlorella sp. and wastewater wild algae under different cultivation conditions （i.e. CO2, light intensity, cultivation time, and inoculation ratio） for enhanced algal biomass and lipid productivity in wastewater medium using Response SuHhce Methodology （RSM）. The results show that mixed cultures ofd7llorella sp. and wastewater wild algae increase biomass and lipid yield. Additionally, findings indicate that CO2, light intensity and cultivation time significantly affect algal productivity. Furthcnnore, CO2 concentration and light intensity, and CO2 concentration and algal composition, have an interactive effect on biomass productivity. Under dii＂ferent cultivation conditions, the response of algal biomass, cell count, and lipid productlvlty ranges from2,5 to 10.2 mg/mL 1.1 × 10 to 8.2 × 10 cells/mL and 1.1 × 10^6 to 6.8 × 10^12 total fluorescent units/mL, respectively× The optimum conditions tbr simt, ltaneot, s biomass and lipid accumulation are 3.6% of CO2 （v/v）, 160 μmol/m^2/s of light intensity, 1×6/2.4 of inoculation ratio （wastewater-algae/Chlorella）, and 8.3 days of cultivation time. The optimal productivity is 9,8 （g/L） for dry biomass, 8.6 E ＋ 08 （cells/mL） for cell count, and 6.8 E ＋ 12 （Total FL units per mL） fbr lipid yield, achieving up to four times, eight times, and seven times higher productivity compared to non- optimized conditions. Provided is a supportive methodology to improve mixed algal culture for hioenergy feedstock generation and to optimize cultivation conditions in complex wastewater environments. This work is an important step tbrward in the development of sustainable large-scale algae cultivation for cost-efficient generation of biofuel.

Influence of B source materials on the synthesis of TiB_2-Al_2O_3 nanocomposite powders by mechanical alloying

An Al2O3-TiB2 nanocomposite was successfully synthesized by ball milling of Al, TiO2 and two B source materials of B2O3 （system （1）） and H3BO3 （system （2））. Phase identification of the milled samples was examined by Xray diffraction. The morphology and microstructure of the milled powders were monitored by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. It was found that the formation of this composite was completed after 15 and 30 h of milling time in systems （1） and （2）, respectively. More milling energy was required for the formation of this composite in system （2） due to the lubricant properties of HaBO3 and also its decomposition to HBO2 and B2O3 during milling. On the basis of X-ray diffraction patterns and thermodynamic calculations, this composite was formed by highly exothermic mechanically induced self-sustaining reactions （MSR） in both systems. The MSR mode took place around 9 h and 25 h of milling in systems （1） and （2）, respectively. At the end of milling （15 h for system （1） and 30 h for system （2）） the grain size of about 35-50 nm was obtained in both systems.

The performance of a new fiber-reinforced cementitious matrix(FRCM)system developed using custom-designed mortar and fabrics is investigated in this *** behavior of this system is evaluated in terms of both the flexural and shear strengthening of reinforced concrete *** beams are designed to assess the effectiveness of the FRCM system in terms of flexural strengthening,and four specimens are designed to investigate their shear *** parameters investigated for flexural strengthening are the number of layers,span/depth ratio,and the strengthening *** previous studies,custom fabrics with similar axial stiffness are used in all strengthening methods in this *** the shear-strengthened specimens,the effects of the span/depth ratio and strengthening system type(fiberreinforced polymer(FRP)or FRCM)are *** proposed FRCM system exhibits desirable flexural and shear strengthening for enhancing the load capacity,provides sufficient bonding with the substrate,and prevents premature failure *** the similar axial stiffness of fabrics used in both FRCM and FRP systems and the higher load capacity of specimens strengthened by the former,cement-based mortar performs better than epoxy.

Parametric study on the mixed solvent synthesis of ZIF-8 nano- and micro-particles for CO adsorption: A response surface study

The room temperature synthesis of ZIF-8 micro-and nano-particles was investigated using a mixed methanol-water solvent ***-8 particles of good quality and high crystallinity were *** surface methodology was used to determine the effect of the synthesis conditions on the ZIF-8 yield,particle size distribution,and mean particle *** ligand/metal salt molar ratio followed by the amount of sodium formate(the deprotonating agent)and then the amount of water(i.e,the composition of the mixed solvent)respectively had the largest effects on both the ZIF-8 yield and particle *** showed that mixing of solvents with different strengths in producing ZIF-8 crystals is a practical method to size-controlled synthesis of ZIF-8 *** method is more favorable for industrial-scale ZIF-8 synthesis than using excess amounts of ligands or chemical additives(like sodium formate).In addition,ZIF-8 samples with different mean particle sizes(100,500,and 1000 nm)were used for CO adsorption and the mid-sized ZIF-8 particles had the highest adsorption capacity.

Increasing the Maximum Capacity Path in a Network and Its Application for Improving the Connection Between Two Routers

Abstract:This paper addresses the problem of improving the optimal value of the Maximum Capacity Path(MCP)through expansion in a flexible network,and minimizing the involved *** only condition applied to the cost functions is to be non-decreasing *** is a non-restrictive condition,reflecting the reality in practice,and is considered for the first time in the ***,the total cost of expansion is a combination of max-type cost(e.g.,for supervision)and sum-type cost(*** building infrastructures,price of materials,price of labor,etc.).For this purpose,two types of strategies are combined:(l)increasing the capacity of the existing arcs,and(l)adding potential new *** different problems are introduced and *** the problems have immediate applications in Internet routing *** first one is to extend the network,so that the capacity of an McP in the modified network becomes equal to a prescribed value,therefore the cost of modifications is minimized.A strongly polynomial-time algorithm is deduced to solve this *** second problem is a network expansion under a budget constraint,so that the capacity of an McP is maximized.A weakly polynomial-time algorithm is presented to deal with *** the special case when all the costs are linear,a Meggido's parametric search technique is used to develop an algorithm for solving the problem in strongly polynomial *** new approach has a time complexity of O(n^(4)),which is better than the time complexity of O(n4 log(n)of the previously known method from literature.

ELECTROSPINNING OF CYCLODEXTRIN FUNCTIONALIZED CHITOSAN/PVA NANOFIBERS AS A DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM

A new type ofnanofibrous structure from chitosan bearing carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin （CS-g-β-CD） as a novel drug delivery system was synthesized by grafting carboxymethyl-β-cyclodextrin （CM β-CD） onto chitosan （CS） in the presence of water soluble 1-ethyl-3-（3-dimethylaminopropyl） carbodiimide （EDC） as the condensing agent and N-hydroxysuccinimide （NHS）. Defect free mats containing CS-g-β-CD have been fabricated using electrospirming of an aqueous solution of poly（vinyl alcohol）（PVA）/CS-g-β-CD blends. The morphology and diameter of the electrospun nanofibers were examined by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The average fiber diameter was in the range of 130-210 run. SEM images showed that the morphology and diameter of the nanofibers were mainly affected by weight ratio of the blend at constant applied voltage. The results revealed that increasing CS-g-β-CD content in the blends decreases the average fiber diameter. It was observed that the PVA/CS-g-β-CD nanofibrous mat provided a slower release of the entrapped drug in compare to PVA/CS nanofibrous mat.

A comparative study of different arrangements for methanol distillation process

The current study presents an effective method of determining and optimizing distillated methanol alternative arrangements. To complement the information required to run the rigorous simulation, Vminmethod is used as a base for the selection of the optimum arrangement among different alternatives. Results obtained from Vmindiagram and shortcut simulation are utilized, by means of the simulator, for the precise simulation of alternative arrangements of methanol distillation under optimum conditions. Taking into account target function profit and the process parameters and conditions, the most optimum parameter value for reaching maximum profit was obtained, based on which all the arrangements with or without their heat integration were compared to each other. Technical and economic analysis results indicate, that increased profit by Prefractionator with heat integration arrangement is 4.79% compared to the base arrangement, while the three-column, four-column and five-column arrangements have benefits increase by 3.61%, 3.55% and 3.46%, respectively.

Stability of Nonlinear Systems Using Optimal Fuzzy Controllers and Its Simulation by Java Programming

In this paper, at first, the single input rule modules(SIRMs) dynamically connected fuzzy inference model is used to stabilize a double inverted pendulum system. Then, a multiobjective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO) is implemented to optimize the fuzzy controller parameters in order to decrease the distance error of the cart and summation of the angle errors of the pendulums, simultaneously. The feasibility and efficiency of the proposed Pareto front is assessed in comparison with results reported in literature and obtained from other ***, the Java programming with applets is utilized to simulate the stability of the nonlinear system and explain the internetbased control.

Estimation of photolysis half-lives of dyes in a continuous-flow system with the aid of quantitative structure-property relationship

In this paper the photolysis half-lives of the model dyes in water solutions and under ultraviolet （UV） radiation were determined by using a continuous-flow spectrophotometric method. A quantitative structure- property relationship （QSPR） study was carried out using 21 descriptors based on different chemometric tools including stepwise multiple linear regression （MLR） and partial least squares （PLS） for the prediction of the photolysis half-life （t1/2） of dyes. For the selection of test set compounds, a K-means clustering technique was used to classify the entire data set, so that all clusters were properly represented in both training and test sets. The QSPR results obtained with these models show that in MLR-derived model, photolysis half-lives of dyes depended strongly on energy of the highest occupied molecular orbital （EHoMO）, largest electron density of an atom in the molecule （ED^＋） and lipophilicity （logP）. While in the model derived from PLS, besides aforementioned EHOMO and ED^＋ descriptors, the molecular surface area （Sm）, molecular weight （M-W）, electronegativity （X）, energy of the second highest occupied molecular orbital （EHoMO- 1） and dipole moment （μ） had dominant effects on logt1/2 values of dyes. These were applicable for all classes of studied dyes （including monoazo, disazo, oxazine, sulfo- nephthaleins and derivatives of fluorescein）. The results were also assessed for their consistency with findings from other similar studies.
