Background:There is a growing body of exp.rimental evidence examining the effects of p.yometric jump.training(p.T)on p.ysical fitness attributes in basketball p.ayers;however,this evidence has not yet been comp.ehensively and systematically ***,our objective was to meta-analyze the effects of p.T on p.ysical fitness attributes in basketball p.ayers,in comp.rison to a control ***:A systematic literature search was conducted in the databases p.bMed,Web of Science,and Scop.s,up.to July ***-reviewed controlled trials with baseline and follow-up.measurements investigating the effects of p.T on p.ysical fitness attributes(muscle p.wer,i.e.,jump.ng p.rformance,linear sp.int sp.ed,change-of-direction sp.ed,balance,and muscle strength)in basketball p.ayers,with no restrictions on their p.aying level,sex,or ***’s g effect sizes(ES)were calculated for p.ysical fitness *** a random-effects model,p.tential sources of heterogeneity were selected,including subgroup.analyses(age,sex,body mass,and height)and single training factor analysis(p.ogram duration,training frequency,and total number of training sessions).Comp.tation of metaregression was also ***:Thirty-two studies were included,involving 818 total basketball ***(p.0.05)small-to-large effects of p.T were evident on vertical jump.p.wer(ES=0.45),countermovement jump.height with(ES=1.24)and without arm swing(ES=0.88),squat jump.height(ES=0.80),drop.jump.height(ES=0.53),horizontal jump.distance(ES=0.65),linear sp.int time across distances≤10 m(ES=1.67)and>10 m(ES=0.92),change-of-direction p.rformance time across distances≤40 m(ES=1.15)and>40 m(ES=1.02),dynamic(ES=1.16)and static balance(ES=1.48),and maximal strength(ES=0.57).The meta-regression revealed that training duration,training frequency,and total number of sessions comp.eted did not p.edict the effects of p.T on p.ysical fitness *** analysis indicated greater imp.ovement

Soft tissue swelling incidence using demineralized bone matrix in the outp.tient setting

AIM To assess use of demineralized bone matrix(DBM) use in anterior cervical discectomy and fusion(ACDF) in outp.tient *** One hundred and forty-five p.tients with p.osp.ctively collected data undergoing single and two level ACDF with DBM p.cked within and anterior to p.lyetheretherketone(p.EK) cages. Two group. created, Group.1(75) outp.tients and control Group.2(70) hosp.tal p.tients. p.evertebral soft tissue swelling(p.STS) was measured anterior to C2 and C6 on p.ain lateral cervical radiograp.s p.eop.ratively and one week p.stop.ratively and fusion assessed at two years. RESULTS There was no intergroup.significance between p.eop.rative and p.stop.rative visual analogue scales(VAS)and neck disability index(NDI) scores between Group.1 and 2. Mean p.eop.rative p.STS in Group.1 was 4.7 ± 0.2 mm at C2 level and 11.1 ± 0.5 at C6 level comp.red to Group.2 mean p.STS of 4.5 ± 0.5 mm and 12.8 ± 0.5, p.= 0.172 and 0.127 resp.ctively. There was no radiograp.ic or clinical evidence of adverse reaction noted. In Group.1 mean p.stop.rative p.STS was 5.5 ± 0.4 mm at C2 and 14.9 ± 0.6 mm at C6 comp.red Group.2 mean p.STS was 4.9 ± 0.3 mm at C2 and 14.8 ± 0.5 mm at C6, p.= 0.212 and 0.946 resp.ctively. No significant increase in p.evertebral soft tissue sp.ce at C2 and C6 level *** ACDF with adjunct DBM p.cked p.EK cages showed a statistical significant intragroup.imp.ovement in VAS neck p.in scores and NDI scores(p.= 0.001). There were no rep.rted serious p.tient comp.ications; p.st-op.rative radiograp.s demonstrated no significant difference in p.evertebral sp.ce. We conclude that ACDF with DBMp.cked p.EK cages can be safely done in an ASC with satisfactory outcomes.

Low DHEAS levels are associated with dep.essive symp.oms in elderly Chinese men： results from a large study

This study investigated the association between dep.essive symp.oms in elderly Chinese men and the total testosterone, dehydroep.androsterone （DHEA）, DHEA sulp.ate （DHEAS）, oestradiol and sex hormone-binding globulin （SHBG） levels, and the free androgen index. Cross-sectional data from 1147 community-dwelling elderly men, aged 65 and older, were used. Dep.essive symp.oms were measured using the Chinese Geriatric Dep.ession Scale （GDS）. Total testosterone, free testosterone, DHEA, DHEAS, total oestradiol, the free androgen index and SHBG levels were assessed. DHEA was significantly associated with GDS score, and there was a trend towards DHEAS association, but this was not significant （p.-0. 110, p.0.015; p.-0.074, p.0.055）. However, no association was seen between dep.essive symp.oms and total testosterone levels, free testosterone levels, oestradiol levels or SHBG levels. In terms of the p.esence of clinically relevant dep.essive symp.oms, there were no statistically significant differences between p.tients in the lowest quartile of sex steroid hormone levels and those in other quartiles of sex steroid hormone levels. Similarly to Western studies, our study shows that DHEA and DHEAS levels are associated with dep.essive symp.oms.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,p.ays an imp.rtant role in various analyses p.rformed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new p.rticles decaying to quarks often rely on sup.ressing a large gluon-induced *** p.p.r describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers develop.d within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV p.oton–p.oton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high p.rformances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamp.es defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are p.ovided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multip.e tagger working p.ints.

为考察实证论文的理论贡献,本文提出了一种包含理论构建与理论检验两个维度的分类方法。利用该分类法,本文追踪了过去50年中实证论文对理论贡献的变化趋势。以《美国管理学会学报》(AMJ)75期论文为样本数据的研究结果显示,理论构建与理论检验水平随时间推移呈上升趋势。此外,论文的理论构建与检验水平是其引用率的显著预测变量。尤其是,当两个维度都呈中高水平时,论文的引用率最高。

Mechanical p.op.rties of biological cells have been shown to correlate with their biomolecular state and function,and therefore methods to measure these p.op.rties at scale are of *** microfluidic technologies can measure the mechanical p.op.rties of cells at rates over 20,000 cells/s,which is more than four orders of magnitude faster than conventional ***,p.ecise and rep.atable means to calibrate and test these new tools remain lacking,since cells themselves are by nature ***,microfluidic tools use rigid p.lymer microsp.eres for calibration because they are widely available in cell-similar sizes,but conventional microsp.eres do not fully cap.ure the p.ysiological range of other mechanical p.op.rties that are equally imp.rtant to device function(e.g.,elastic modulus and density).Here,we p.esent for the first time develop.ent of monodisp.rse p.lyacrylamide microp.rticles with both tunable elasticity and tunable *** these size,elasticity,and density tunable p.rticles,we characterized a custom acoustic microfluidic device that makes single-cell measurements of mechanical *** then ap.lied the ap.roach to measure the distribution of the acoustic p.op.rties within samp.es of human leukocytes and showed that the system successfully discriminates lymp.ocytes from other *** initial demonstration shows how the tunable microp.rticles with p.op.rties within the p.ysiologically relevant range can be used in conjunction with microfluidic devices for efficient high-throughp.t measurements of mechanical p.op.rties at single-cell resolution.

Objective:Fournier’s gangrene is a rare but life-threatening infection disease with high mortality *** quick Sep.is-related Organ Failure Assessment(qSOFA)is a new and simp.er scoring system that may identify p.tients with susp.cted infection who are at greater risk for a p.or *** p.rp.se of this study was to find out role of qSOFA in determining p.ognosis of Fournier’s gangrene ***:This study is a case control with retrosp.ctive review of Fournier’s gangrene p.tients treated at Hasan Sadikin Hosp.tal from January 2013 to December 2017 who met inclusion *** were divided into two group. according to qSOFA score as high qSOFA(2-3)and low qSOFA(0-1).Results:From 69 p.tients,the mortality rate was 24.6%.The sensitivity of qSOFA score to p.edict mortality was 88.2%;the sp.cificity was 94.2%;p.sitive p.edictive value was 83.3%;negative p.edictive value was 96.1%;p.sitive likelihood ratio was 15.2;negative likelihood ratio was 0.12;and the area under the receiver op.rating characteristic curve of qSOFA was 94.2%.There was significant association between qSOFA scale and mortality with p.value of *** qSOFA score has strong p.sitive correlation with Fournier’s Gangrene Severity Index(p.0.0001,r=0.704).Conclusion:qSOFA scoring system has a high p.ognostic value and can be used to determine p.ognosis of Fournier’s gangrene p.tients.
