solid-state lithium metal batteries(ssLMBs)show great promise in terms of high-energy-density and high-safety ***,there is an urgent need to address the compatibility of electrolytes with high-voltage cathodes/Li anodes,and to minimize the electrolyte thickness to achieve highenergy-density of ***,we develop an ultrathin(12.6μm)asymmetric composite solid-state electrolyte with ultralight areal density(1.69 mg cm^(−2))for *** electrolyte combining a garnet(LLZO)layer and a metal organic framework(MOF)layer,which are fabricated on both sides of the polyethylene(PE)separator separately by tape *** PE separator endows the electrolyte with flexibility and excellent mechanical *** LLZO layer on the cathode side ensures high chemical stability at high *** MOF layer on the anode side achieves a stable electric field and uniform Li flux,thus promoting uniform Li^(+)*** to the well-designed structure,the Li symmetric battery exhibits an ultralong cycle life(5000 h),and high-voltage ssLMBs achieve stable cycle *** assembled pouch cells provided a gravimetric/volume energy density of 344.0 Wh kg^(−1)/773.1 Wh L^(−1).This simple operation allows for large-scale preparation,and the design concept of ultrathin asymmetric structure also reveals the future development direction of ssLMBs.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a common complication of diabetes *** the pathophysiological metabolic mechanism impels the generation of ideal ***,existing limited treatments for diabetic peripheral neuropathy expose the urgent need for cell metabolism *** the lack of comprehensive understanding of energy metabolism changes and related signaling pathways in diabetic peripheral neuropathy,it is essential to explore energy changes and metabolic changes in diabetic peripheral neuropathy to develop suitable treatment *** review summarizes the pathophysiological mechanism of diabetic peripheral neuropathy from the perspective of cellular metabolism and the specific interventions for different metabolic pathways to develop effective treatment *** metabolic mechanisms(e.g.,polyol,hexosamine,protein kinase C pathway)are associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy,and researchers are looking for more effective treatments through these pathways.

Abandoned chemical smelting sites containing toxic substances can seriously threaten and pose a risk to the surrounding ecological *** samples were collected from different depths(0 to 13 m)and analyzed for metal(loid)s content and fractionation,as well as microbial *** potential ecological risk indices for the different soil depths(ordered from high to low)were:1 m(D-1)>surface(s-0)>5 m(D-5)>13 m(D-13)>9 m(D-9),ranging between 1840.65-13,089.62,and representing extremely high environmental risks,of which Cd(and probably not arsenic)contributed to the highest environmental risk.A modified combined pollution risk index(MCR)combining total content and mobile proportion of metal(loid)s,and relative toxicities,was used to evaluate the degree of contamination and potential environmental *** the near-surface samples(s-0 and D-1 layers),the MCR considered that As,Cd,Pb,sb,and Zn achieved high and alarming degrees of contamination,whereas Fe,Mn,and Ti were negligible or low to moderate pollution *** microcalorimetry and enzymatic activity measurements of contaminated soil samples were used to assess the microbial metabolic activity *** analysis elucidated the relationship between metal(loid)s exchangeable fraction or content and microbial activity characteristics(ps low presumably due to heavy metal *** activity indicators and microcalorimetric growth rate(k)measurements were considered sensitive indicators to reflect the soil microbial activities in abandoned chemical smelting sites.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a critical factor leading to a wide range of clinically heterogeneous and often severe disorders due to its central role in generating cellular *** in the TUFM gene are known to cause combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 4(COXPD4),a rare mitochondrial disorder characterized by a comprehensive quantitative deficiency in mitochondrial respiratory chain(MRC)*** development of a reliable animal model for COXPD4 is crucial for elucidating the roles and mechanisms of TUFM in disease pathogenesis and benefiting its medical *** this study,we construct a zebrafish tufm−/−mutant that closely resembles the COXPD4 syndrome,exhibiting compromised mitochondrial protein translation,dysfunctional mitochondria with oxidative phosphorylation defects,and significant metabolic suppression of the tricarboxylic acid *** this COXPD4 zebrafish model,we comprehensively validate the clinical relevance of TUFM mutations and identify probucol as a promising therapeutic approach for managing *** data offer valuable insights for understanding mitochondrial diseases and developing effective treatments.

Effect of dynamic loading orientation on fracture properties of surrounding rocks in twin tunnels

For expedited transportation,vehicular tunnels are often designed as two adjacent tunnels,which frequently experience dynamic stress waves from various orientations during blasting *** analyze the impact of dynamic loading orientation on the stability of the twin-tunnel,a split Hopkinson pressure bar(sHPB)apparatus was used to conduct a dynamic test on the twin-tunnel *** two tunnels were rotated around the specimen’s center to consider the effect of dynamic loading ***-DYNA software was used for numerical simulation to reveal the failure properties and stress wave propagation law of the twin-tunnel *** findings indicate that,for a twin-tunnel exposed to a dynamic load from different orientations,the crack initiation position appears most often at the tunnel corner,tunnel spandrel,and tunnel *** the impact direction is created by a certain angle(30°,45°,60°,120°,135°,and 150°),the fractures are produced in the middle of the line between the left tunnel corner and the right tunnel *** the impact loading angle(a)is 90°,the tunnel sustains minimal damage,and only tensile fractures form in the surrounding *** orientation of the impact load could change the stress distribution in the twin-tunnel,and major fractures are more likely to form in areas where the tensile stress is concentrated.

The minimal basis of a univariate polynomial matrix M（s）∈K[s]m×nis a basis of the syzygies of the polynomial matrix M（s） with lowest possible degree,where K[s] is the univariate polynomial ring over the field of *** provides an efficient tool to compute the moving planes and moving quadratics of a rational parametric surface,which are employed to implicitize the parametric surface as a powerful implicitization *** this paper,the authors develop two improved algorithms for computing the minimal bases of polynomial *** algorithms are based on efficient methods to reduce the degrees of a set of univariate polynomial *** is shown that the computational complexities of the two algorithms are O(m2n3d2+d2n5-（2 mn4d2-1/6 m3nd）),and O(m2nd2+（n-m）n3d2+m2n2d2/n-m) respectively,where m,n are the sizes of the polynomial matrix M（s）and d is the degree of each entry of the *** new algorithms are faster than the state-of-the-art methods by experimental *** properties about the degree of the minimal basis are also provided.

Based on the numerical simulation of solidification of castings, a thermal stress formula and a thermal crack initiation criterion are established, which suggest that the cracks initiate at the two-thirds thickness of solidified layer from outside of castings. Cast steel wheels whose diameters are 800mm are employed to testify the positions of cracks through thermal ela- stic-plastic analyses and low magnifying structure observations conventionally. The results show that the numerical prediction of cracks coincides with the measured result, and the cracks do not necessarily follow where the defects such as shrinkage holes and porosities occur. It is also found that surface temperature control is an effective factor to avoid the crack formation.

The photosynthesis of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))through the selective 2e^(-)oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)from O_(2)and H_(2)O stands out as an environmentally sustainable and cost-effective method for generating this essential ***,the widespread application of most photocatalysts is impeded by their reliance on sacrificial *** this context,we present a noteworthy advancement in the form of a step-scheme(s-scheme)heterojunction involving a donor-acceptor(D-A)-conjugated polymer and manganese cadmium sulfide(BTz@MCs).This innovative configuration enables efficient photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production within a non-sacrificial system,showcasing an impressive H_(2)O_(2)yield of 5,368μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)and an apparent quantum yield of 4.5%at 420 *** insights gained from in-situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(IsIXPs),in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transformations spectroscopy(DRIFTs),and density function calculations(DFT),it is revealed that the sp^(2)C between thiazole-thiazole rings at the BTz and the concentrated holes at the MCs function as spatially separated redox *** centers catalyze the selective 2e^(-)ORR and 4e^(-)water oxidation reaction(WOR)*** O_(2)generated from the WOR is subsequently utilized by the ORR cycle,enabling the overall photosynthesis of H_(2)O_(2)with accelerated total reaction ***,the high photocatalytic performance of the developed catalyst is attributed to well-designed s-scheme heterojunctions with tuned band *** spatially separated redox centers and effective transfer of photogenerated charge carriers facilitated by the internal electric field significantly enhance reaction *** study introduces a promising avenue for photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production without sacrificial agents,providing valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms in s-scheme heterojunctions.
