Etching Mechanism of Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2) MXene Phases by CuCl_(2)-Lewis Molten Salt Method

We described a method for obtaining fluorine-free Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2)MXene phases by melting copper in CuCl_(2)instead of aluminum in Ti_(3)AlC_(2).XRD results show that when molten salt CuCl_(2)etches Ti_(3)AlC_(2),it forms an intermediate product Ti_(3)CuC_(2),and then reacts with Ti_(3)CuC_(2)to obtain Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2).The reaction of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)and CuCl_(2)at a temperature of 800℃for 2 h to obtain Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2)with an optimal lamellar structure is shown in SEM *** pseudopotential plane-wave(PP-PW)method is used to calculate on the electronic *** etching mechanism is investigated by the total energies of each *** chemical reaction of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)and CuCl_(2)will first become Ti_(3)CuC_(2)and Cu,and then become Ti_(3)C_(2)Cl_(2)during the Lewis acid etching process,which are consistent with the experimental results.

Dielectrophoresis is a powerful and well-established technique that allows label-free,non-invasive manipulation of cells and particles by leveraging their electrical *** practical implementation of the associated electronics and user interface in a biology laboratory,however,requires an engineering background,thus hindering the broader adoption of the *** order to address these challenges and to bridge the gap between biologists and the engineering skills required for the implementation of DEP platforms,we report here a custom-built,compact,universal electronic platform termed ADEPT(adaptable dielectrophoresis embedded platform tool)for use with a simple microfluidic chip containing six *** versatility of the open-source platform is ensured by a custom-developed graphical user interface that permits simple reconfiguration of the control signals to address a wide-range of specific applications:(i)precision positioning of the single bacterium/cell/particle in the micrometer range;(ii)viability-based separation by achieving a 94%efficiency in separating live and dead yeast;(iii)phenotype-based separation by achieving a 96%efficiency in separating yeast and Bacillus subtilis;(iv)cell–cell interactions by steering a phagocytosis process where a granulocyte engulfs *** RGB-S ***,the set of experiments and the platform form a complete basis for a wide range of possible applications addressing various biological questions exploiting the plug-and-play design and the intuitive GUI of ADEPT.

Patterns of body size variation along geographical gradients have long been searched for and generalized into eco-geographical ***,no rodent species has yet been analyzed in relation to the 3 dimensions of latitude,longitude and *** analyzed geographical clines and dimorphism of body and skull size in the herb field mouse(Apodemus uralensis)across the species range,based on field data and on data from the liter*** dimorphism in adult *** was not expressed at a large scale,while local patterns were in***-dependent size changes were most expressed in adult individuals:most characters of adults exceeded in size those of subadults,while subadult-juvenile size differences were only significant in body weight and length,zygomatic skull width,length of cranial diastema and breadth of *** central morphological niches along the clines being separated,*** populations showed a high degree of size overlap in morphological *** found the species to be characterized by high size variability,with the largest individuals inhabiting the eastern and southern edges of the distribution ***,hind foot and ear lengths were largest in the southern part of the range,in agreement with Allen’s *** main measurements that we analyzed,namely body mass,zygomatic skull width and condylobasal skull length,show the presence of 3 clines in the size of adult ***:(i)a decreasing south-north cline,opposing Bergmann’s rule;(ii)an increasing west-east cline,in accordance with Murphy’s rule;and(iii)an increasing altitudinal cline.
