Transfer learning from synthetic data for open-circuit voltage curve reconstruction and state of health estimation of lithium-ion batteries from partial charging segments

Data-driven models for battery state estimation require extensive experimental training data,which may not be available or suitable for specific tasks like open-circuit voltage(OCV)reconstruction and subsequent state of health(SOH)*** study addresses this issue by developing a transfer-learning-based OCV reconstruction model using a temporal convolutional long short-term memory(TCN-LSTM)network trained on synthetic data from an automotive nickel cobalt aluminium oxide(NCA)cell generated through a mechanistic model *** data consists of voltage curves at constant temperature,C-rates between C/30 to 1C,and a SOH-range from 70%to 100%.The model is refined via Bayesian optimization and then applied to four use cases with reduced experimental nickel manganese cobalt oxide(NMC)cell training data for higher use *** TL models’performances are compared with models trained solely on experimental data,focusing on different C-rates and voltage *** results demonstrate that the OCV reconstruction mean absolute error(MAE)within the average battery electric vehicle(BEV)home charging window(30%to 85%state of charge(SOC))is less than 22 mV for the first three use cases across all *** SOH estimated from the reconstructed OCV exhibits an mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)below 2.2%for these *** study further investigates the impact of the source domain on TL by incorporating two additional synthetic datasets,a lithium iron phosphate(LFP)cell and an entirely artificial,non-existing,cell,showing that solely the shifting and scaling of gradient changes in the charging curve suffice to transfer knowledge,even between different cell chemistries.A key limitation with respect to extrapolation capability is identified and evidenced in our fourth use case,where the absence of such comprehensive data hindered the TL process.

Impact of surface phase coexistence on the development of step-free areas on Si（111）

The step-flow growth condition of Si on Si（111） near the （7×7）-＂1×1＂ surface phase transition temperature Tc are analyzed within the framework of Burton- Cabrera-Frank theory. In particular, coexistence of both surface phases well below Tc and their specific influence on the step-flow growth behavior are considered. We presume that under dynamical condition of growth, the surface initially covered by only the （7×7） phase separates into domains surrounded by ＂1×1＂ areas. On such a surface, the overall supersaturation should be reduced drastically compared to a surface with only （7×7）, resulting in much larger critical terrace width for nucleation.

Osseous reconstruction of large bone defects remains a challenge in oral and maxillofacial *** addition to autogenous bone grafts,which despite potential donor-site mobility still represent the gold standard in reconstructive surgery,many studies have investigated less invasive alternatives such as in vitro cultivation *** study compared different types of seeding techniques on pureβ-tricalcium phosphate scaffolds in terms of bone formation and ceramic resorption in *** scaffolds loaded with autologous cancellous bone,venous blood,bone marrow aspirate concentrate or extracorporeal in vitro cultivated bone marrow stromal cells were cultured in sheep on a perforator vessel of the musculus latissimus dorsi over a 6-month *** and histomorphometric analyses revealed that scaffolds loaded with cancellous bone were superior at promoting heterotopic bone formation and ceramic degradation,with autogenous bone and bone marrow aspirate concentrate inducing in vivo formation of vital bone *** results confirm that autologous bone constitutes the preferred source of osteoinductive and osteogenic material that can reliably induce heterotopic bone formation in vivo.

Computational Precision of the Power Function for Conditional Tests of Assumptions of the Rasch Model

Draxler and Zessin [1] derived the power function for a class of conditional tests of assumptions of a psychometric model known as the Rasch model and suggested an MCMC approach developed by Verhelst [2] for the numerical approximation of the power of the tests. In this contribution, the precision of the Verhelst approach is investigated and compared with an exact sampling procedure proposed by Miller and Harrison [3] for which the discrete probability distribution to be sampled from is exactly known. Results show no substantial differences between the two numerical procedures and quite accurate power computations. Regarding the question of computing time the Verhelst approach will have to be considered much more efficient.

Detection and characterization of murine colitis and carcinogenesis by molecularly targeted contrast-enhanced ultrasound

AIM To study mucosal addressin cellular adhesion molecule-1(MAd CAM-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-targeted contrast enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) for the assessment of murine colitis and carcinogenesis. METHODS C57BL/6 mice were challenged with 3% dextran sodium-sulfate(DSS) for three, six or nine days to study the development of acute colitis. Ultrasound was performed with and without the addition of unspecific contrast agents. MAd CAM-1-targeted contrast agent was used to detect and quantify MAd CAM-1 expression. Inflammatory driven colorectal azoxymethane(AOM)/DSS-induced carcinogenesis was examined on day 42 and 84 using VEGF-targeted contrast agent. Highly specific tissue echogenicity was quantified using specialized software. Sonographic findings were correlated to tissue staining, western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry to quantify the degree of inflammation and stage of carcinogenesis. RESULTS Native ultrasound detected increased general bowel wall thickening that correlated with more progressed and more severe DSS-colitis(healthy mice: 0.3 mm ± 0.03 vs six days DSS: 0.5 mm ± 0.2 vs nine days DSS: 0.6 mm ± 0.2, P < 0.05). Moreover, these sonographic findings correlated well with clinical parameters such as weight loss(r2 = 0.74) and histological damage(r2 = 0.86)(P < 0.01). In acute DSS-induced murine colitis, CEUS targeted against MAd CAM-1 detected and differentiated stages of mild, moderate and severe colitis via calculation of mean pixel contrast intensity in decibel(9.6 d B ± 1.6 vs 12.9 d B ± 1.4 vs 18 d B ± 3.33, P < 0.05). Employing the AOM/DSSinduced carcinogenesis model, tumor development was monitored by CEUS targeted against VEGF and detected a significantly increased echogenicity in tumors as compared to adjacent healthy mucosa(healthy mucosa, 1.6 d B ± 1.4 vs 42 d, 18.2 d B ± 3.3 vs 84 d, 18.6 d B ± 4.9, P < 0.01). 合作翻译是翻译领域一种非常中常见的现象,然而翻译界对此领域的关注较少。本论文以费孝通《生育制度》一书译成德文的翻译项目为例对于合作翻译进行研究。费孝通是中外著名的人类学家、社会学家,首次出版于1947年的《生育制度》一本书属于社会学类的,这本书主要论述了当时中国各种与配偶选择、婚姻、育子女、亲戚等方面相关的问题。本论文主要针对合作翻译所带来的特殊挑战与问题进行研究,由于合作翻译中如何能做到统一是非常关键的问题,因此本篇论文以此为论述重点进行研究。对此进行研究时也会关注到笔者参与翻译项目的背景、翻译项目本身的结构与协调员对于笔者翻译质量的具体要求。另外,论文还会提到笔者与翻译项目协调员之间的沟通和翻译项目审校员工作这两方面以便分析出本次合作翻译的特殊条件。论文会先从笔者在翻译过程中所遇到的一般性的问题开始论述合作翻译统一的问题。然后会以具体的例子对于统一的问题进行分析,例子出于翻译初稿与审校完之后版本之间的比较,主要研究被更改的地方,笔者按例子更改的具体原因进行分类,然后按例子所属类型进行具体例子的分析,例子类型按照以下标准进行划分:属于该类型例子的数量、该类型例子对于译文质量的影响、该类型例子的研究意义。两种类型选最有代表性的进行分析。在结语部分笔者将总结此前分析的主要结果,阐明其意义,另外,还就如何更好地做到统一做出建议,最后笔者思考接下来还需要再研究的相关内容和本次论文对于自己作为译者的意义。通过以上分析研究,笔者认为:前后统一这个问题对于合作翻译至关重要,译者之间,译者与协调员之间的沟通合作对合作翻译有重要意义。统一在合作翻译领域中是一种较为复杂的概念,它包含多种意义上的统一,譬如遣字用词、语言风格、对原作和作者的解读、翻译策略等方面,另外还要注意到原文和译文的统一和译文里的统一这两个层次。本论文注重在遣字用词、语言风格与处理文化因素的方式上。分析具体例子时笔者发现了不少审校员没有做到完全统一的地方,这一结果就表明了真正做到统一难度极高,论文中所分析的具体例子表明了原文出现同一词意义上可能包含的多样而复杂给统一译文所带来的挑战。另外,论文也涉及到原文出现为同一词、在原文里意思也统一的词在译文中出现不同译法的现象,对其不同的理由和对统一译文的负面影响进行研究。此外,还以原文中经常使用的第一人称和这一现象在译文中的统一翻译方法为例对语言风格统一进行研究。随后还对于文化因素的处理方式进行研究,这一方面注重在正文上写出相关解释还是使用脚注的方式和这方面的不统一对译文结构影响这一方面上。最后还涉及到外文中使不使用汉字对统一译文的影响。本论文的结果作为对合作翻译进行进一步研究的基础。

硫化锑铜(CuSbS_(2))是一种p型半导体,带隙为1.5 eV,同时拥有较大的光吸收系数(>105cm-1),因此在光电催化领域拥有广阔的应用前景.但是目前国内外的研究还缺乏对CuSbS_(2)电子结构以及其如何影响PEC性能的深入理解.为了进一步改善CuSbS_(2)的PEC性能,对其电子结构进行一系列表征分析是非常重要的.本文中,我们利用同步辐射技术揭示了CuSbS_(2)的电子结构.结果表明,CuSbS_(2)的价带(VB)由S 3p和Cu 3d的强杂交态组成,同时Sb 5p/5s也有部分影响.基于以上理论指导,我们设计了一种高质量Cu Sb S_(2)薄膜的制备技术,并使用FTO/CuSbS_(2)/CdS/Pt光电阴极在0.0 V下实现了CuSbS_(2)基材料的高光电流密度(6.3 mA cm^(-2)).
