Association between glucose levels of children with type 1 diabetes and parental economic status in mobile health application

BACKGROUND The glycemic control of children with type 1 diabetes(T1D)may be influenced by the economic status of their *** To investigate the association between parental economic status and blood glucose levels of children with T1D using a mobile health *** Data from children with T1D in China's largest T1D online community,Tang-Tangquan■.Blood glucose levels were uploaded every three months and parental economic status was evaluated based on annual household *** were divided into three groups:Low-income(yuan),middle-income(30000-100000 yuan),and high-income(>100000 yuan)(1 yuan=0.145 United States Dollar approximately).Blood glucose levels were compared among the groups and associations were explored using Spearman’s correlation analysis and multivariable logistic *** From September 2015 to August 2022,1406 eligible children with T1D were included(779 female,55.4%).Median age was 8.1 years(q1-q3:4.6-11.6)and duration of T1D was 0.06 years(0.02-0.44).Participants were divided into three groups:Low-income(n=320),middle-income(n=724),and high-income(n=362).Baseline hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)levels were comparable among the three groups(P=0.072).However,at month 36,the low-income group had the highest HbA1c levels(P=0.036).Within three years after registration,glucose levels increased significantly in the low-income group but not in the middle-income and high-income *** economic status was negatively correlated with pre-dinner glucose(r=-0.272,P=0.012).After adjustment for confounders,parental economic status remained a significant factor related to pre-dinner glucose levels(odds ratio=13.02,95%CI:1.99 to 126.05,P=0.002).CONCLUSION The blood glucose levels of children with T1D were negatively associated with parental economic *** is suggested that parental economic status should be taken into consideration in the management of T1D for children.

The ground-state mass excess of the T_(z)=−2 drip-line nucleus ^(22)Al is measured for the first time as 18103(10)keV using the newly-developed Bρ-defined isochronous mass spectrometry method at the cooler storage ring in *** new mass excess value allowed us to determine the excitation energies of the two low-lying 1+states in ^(22)Al with significantly reduced uncertainties of 51 *** compared to the analogue states in its mirror nucleus ^(22)F,the mirror energy differences of the two 1^(+)states in the ^(22)Al-^(22)F mirror pair are determined to be−625(51)keV and−330(51)*** excitation energies and mirror energy differences are used to test the state-of-the-art ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group calculations with four sets of interactions derived from the chiral effective field *** mechanism leading to the large mirror energy differences is investigated and attributed to the occupation of theπs_(1/2) orbital.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Huangqin Decoction(HqD)on nuclear factor erythroid 2 related-factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase(HO-1)signaling pathway by inducing the colitis-associated carcinogenesis(CAC)model mice with azoxymethane(AOM)/dextran sodium sulfate(DSS).Methods:The chemical components of HqD were analyzed by liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(LC-q-TOF-MS/MS)to determine the molecular constituents of *** 48 C57BL/6j mice were randomly divided into 6 groups by a random number table,including control,model(AOM/DSS),mesalazine(MS),low-,medium-,and high-dose HqD(HqD-L,HqD-M,and HqD-H)groups,8 mice in each *** for the control group,the mice in the other groups were intraperitoneally injected with AOM(10 mg/kg)and administrated with 2.5%DSS orally for 1 week every two weeks(totally 3 rounds of DSS)to construct a colitis-associated carcinogenesis mouse *** mice in the HqD-L,HqD-M and HqD-H groups were given HqD by gavage at doses of 2.925,5.85,and 11.7 g/kg,respectively;the mice in the MS group was given a suspension of MS at a dose of 0.043 g/kg(totally 11 weeks).The serum levels of malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** mRNA and protein expression levels of Nrf2,HO-1,and inhibitory KELCH like ECH-related protein 1(Keap1)in colon tissue were detected by quantitative real-time PCR,immunohistochemistry,and Westem blot,***:LC-q-TOF-MS/MS analysis revealed that the chemical constituents of HqD include baicalin,paeoniflorin,and glycyrrhizic *** to the control group,significantly higher MDA levels and lower SOD levels were observed in the model group(PqD-M,HqD-H and MS groups(P<0.05).Higher expressions of

Further discussion of CO_(2) huff-n-puff mechanisms in tight oil reservoirs based on NMR monitored fluids spatial distributions

Due to the poor physical properties of tight reservoirs,CO_(2) huff-n-puff(HNP)is considered a potential enhanced oil recovery(EOR)method after primary *** plays a critical role in the effective implementation of CO_(2) *** the optimization requires a good understanding of the EOR *** this work,the spatial distribution of oil saturation under different experimental conditions was analyzed by the NMR method to further discuss the HNP *** to the variation of 1D frequency signal amplitude,we divided the core into the hardly movable area and movable area,the region with the obvious signal decline was defined as the movable area,and the hardly movable area was the region with limited signal *** on that the recovery characteristics of different scenarios were ***,the necessity of the soaking stage was studied,where three scenarios with different soaking times were carried ***,the injection pressure was adjusted to investigate the effect of the pressure *** T_(2) spectra show that soaking has significantly improved the production of crude oil in small pores,and higher oil recovery in a single cycle is observed,but it is lower when the elapsed time(total operation time)is the same.31.03% of oil can be recovered after 3 cycles HNP,which increases to 33.8% and 37.06% for the 4 cycles and 6 cycles *** the pressure gradient increases,more oil is removed out of the matrix,and the oil in the deep part of the reservoir can be effectively *** the CO_(2) huff-n-puff process,the oil distributions are similar to the solution gas drive,the residual oil is distributed at the close end of the core and the range that the oil can be efficiently recovered is limited.

We report the detection of aγ-ray bubble spanning at least 100deg2 in ultra-high energy(UHE)up to a few PeV in the direction of the star-forming region Cygnus X,implying the presence super PeVatron(s)accelerating protons to at least 10 PeV.A log-parabola form with the photon indexΓ(E)=(2.71±0.02)+(0.11±0.02)×log10(E/10 TeV)is found fitting the gamma-ray energy spectrum of the bubble *** sources,“hot spots”correlated with very massive molecular clouds,and a quasi-spherical amorphousγ-ray emitter with a sharp central brightening are observed in the *** the core of~0.5°,spatially associating with a region containing massive OB association(Cygnus OB2)and a microquasar(Cygnus X-3),as well as previously reported multi-TeV sources,an enhanced concentration of UHEγ-rays is observed with 2 photons at energies above 1 *** general feature of the bubble,the morphology,and the energy spectrum,are reasonably reproduced by the assumption of a particle accelerator in the core,continuously injecting protons into the ambient medium.

Making peptide bonds is tightly controlled by genetic code and machinery which includes cofactors,ATP,and *** this regard,the stand-alone and genetic-code-independent peptide ligases constitute a new family of renegade peptide-bond makers.A prime example is butelase-1,an Asn/Asp(Asx)-specific ligase that structurally belongs to the asparaginyl endopeptidase ***-1 specifically recognizes a C-terminal Asx-containing tripeptide motif,Asn/Asp-Xaa-Yaa(Xaa and Yaa are any amino acids),to form a site-specific Asn-Xaa peptide bond either intramolecularly as cyclic proteins or intermolecularly as modified *** work in the past five years has validated that butelase-1 is a potent and versatile *** we review the advances in ligases,with a focus on butelase-1,and their applications in engineering bioactive peptides and precision protein modifications,antibody-drug conjugates,and live-cell labeling.

Effect of Base Material on Microstructure and Texture Evolution of a Ti–6Al–4V Electron-Beam Welded joint

The effect of base material（BM） on microstructure and crystallographic orientation evolution of a Ti–6Al–4V electron-beam welded joint was investigated. Meanwhile, the crystallographic orientation of prior b grains was studied by advanced electron backscattered diffraction data processing. The inhomogeneity of microstructure within welded joint was formed due to the different microstructures of BM. By comparing microstructure details of the welded joint, including microstructure morphology and crystallographic orientation with those of the base material, it can be found that both the microstructure morphology and crystallographic orientation of the EBW joint would be controlled by BM.

Previous studies have shown that low platelet count combined with high plasma total homocysteine(tHcy)increased stroke risk and can be lowered by 73% with folic ***,the combined role of other platelet activation parameters and the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR)C677T genotypes on stroke risk and folic acid treatment benefit remain to be *** study aimed to investigate if platelet activation parameters and MTHFR genotypes jointly impact folic acid treatment efficacy in first stroke *** were derived from the China Stroke Primary Prevention *** study includes a total of 11,185 adult hypertensive patients with relevant platelet activation parameters and MTHFR genotype *** simultaneously considering both platelet activation parameters(plateletcrit,platelet count,mean platelet volume,platelet distribution width)and MTHFR genotypes,patients with both low plateletcrit(q1)and the TT genotype had the highest stroke incidence rate(5.6%)in the enalapril *** subgroup significantly benefited from folic acid treatment,with a 66% reduction in first stroke(HR:0.34;95%CI:0.14-0.82;p=0.016).Consistently,the subgroup with low plateletcrit(q1)and the CC/CT genotype also benefited from folic acid treatment(HR:0.40;95%CI:0.23-0.70;p=0.001).In Chinese hypertensive adults,low plateletcrit can identify those who may greatly benefit from folic acid treatment,in particular,those with the TT genotype,a subpopulation known to have the highest stroke risk.

HEAT TREATMENT STRENGTHENING EFFECTS OF RARE EARTHS ON Mg-9Al ALLOY

Mg-9Al-xRE magnesium alloys were studied, where, x is 0, 0.4. 0.8. 1.2 and 1.6% (in weight percent, wt%), respectively. Influence of rare earths (RE) on micro structure. and strength in both T4 (solute heat treatment) and T6 (solute heat treatment and artificial ageing treatment) were investigated. Strength of specimen was tested at ambient temperature. The micro structure was analyzed by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction analysis. RE additions improved T4 tensile strength of the treated alloys. Small addition (0.4wt%) of RE greatly improved the strength of ageing treated (T6) Mg-9Al alloy, but further additions caused decreasing.
