As demand accelerates for multifunctional devices with a small footprint and minimal power consumption,2.5D and 3D advanced packaging architectures have emerged as an essential solution that use through-substrate vias(TSVs)as vertical in *** stacking en ables chip packages with increased functi on ality,enhanced desig n versatility,minimal power loss,reduced footprint and high *** the potential of photolithography for vertical interconnect access(VIA)fabrication requires fast and accurate predictive modeling of diffraction effects and resist film *** procedure is especially challenging for broad-spectrum exposure systems that use,for example,Hg bulbs with g-,h-,and i-line UV *** this paper,we present new methods and equations for VIA latent image determination in photolithography that are suitable for broad-spectrum exposure and negate the need for complex and time-consuming in situ *** technique is accurate,converges quickly on the average modern PC and could be readily integrated into photolithography simulation *** derive a polychromatic light attenuation equation from the Beer-Lambert law,which can be used in a critical exposure dose model to determine the photochemical reaction *** in teg rate this equation with an exact scalar diffraction formula to produce a succinct equation comprising a complete coupling between light propagation phenomena and photochemical *** then perform a comparative study between 2D/3D photoresist latent image simulation geometries and directly corresponding experimental data,which demonstrates a highly positive *** anticipate that this technique will be a valuable asset to photolithography,micro-and nano-optical systems and advaneed packaging/system integration with applications in technology domains ranging from space to automotive to the Internet of Things(loT).

Performance Improvement of Truck Assembly Line through Modeling and Simulation Using Arena Software

Due to global completion in the automotive industry, productivity improvement is vital in these industries. In automotive assembly lines, productivity loses are attributed to bottlenecks, long processing time in workstations and underutilization of resources. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of the production system, analyze the bottlenecks in different parts of the workstation, their capacity and constraints. Also, develop different scenarios for improvement. To achieve this objective, a simulation model was developed using Arena Software to analyze bottlenecks in each workstation. The analysis was based on the queue in the system to identify the longest queue in workstations. After analysis of the assembly line, the result showed that the longest waiting time observed is cab preparation and drop, bumper, engine subassembly fitment of soundproof with respective numbers 14.4, 13.97, 13.00, 13.70 minutes, with respective average number waiting of 24.87%, 17.57%, 25.91% and 23.39%. Using different scenarios for the improvement of the production line showed that the waiting time observed in-cab preparation and drop, bumper, engine subassembly, fitment of soundproof has greatly reduced for the two workstations added and three operators respectively from 14.4 to 3.97 and 3.1, from 13.97 to 3.77 and 2.48, from 13.00 to 4.21 and 3.83, from 13.70 to 0.00 and 2.37 minutes, with respective average number waiting from 24.87% to 5% and 2%, from 17.57% to 5% and 0.9%, from 25.91% to 5% and 4%, and from 23.39% to 0.00% and 3%. To conclude the research study was able to demonstrate the modelling approach using simulation for analysis of a production line assembly. The contribution of this research was so enormous, this study has improved the output production up to 144%.

Towards an Effective Communication in the Care of Patients with Long Term Disease in Kenya via Cybernetic—A Systematic Review

In this paper, to effectively treat chronic disorders and improve the standard of care, effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals was essential. The aim of the study was to review the literature on how good communication might improve treatment outcomes for Kenyan patients with chronic and terminal illnesses and to determine whether Cybernetic electronic communication can improve those outcomes even more. We uncovered the history of treatment outcomes for chronic and terminal diseases in this research study, both with and without communication at the core of the patient’s care plan. We discussed the importance of good communication in the treatment of patients with chronic and terminal illnesses and why it is a momentous endeavor comparable to medical diagnosis and treatment for the long-term health of patients. To locate pertinent material for the background literature study, we carried out a comprehensive literature search. Although the preliminary literature review was a continuation of the introduction research, it also highlighted the paucity of local Kenyan literature and suggested that improved communication might help patients with chronic and terminal illnesses have better treatment outcome. Methodology maintained the literature search, as a systematic literature review focused on core of the study, making separate sections of the same body necessary. This ensured that a methodological literature search section is as comprehensive as possible. We used an integrated PRISM model to limit a comprehensive literature search and a systematic literature review design as part of the overall process. non-probability sampling and snowball approaches on literary papers over the previous 17 years were used in this arrangement. Since this was a multidisciplinary study, the four experts who also serve as authors were chosen from within their respective fields of expertise to design the study. Climate and seasonal rainfall anomalies along an elevational gradient in the El Sira Mountains,Peru,and their impacts on tree radial growth

The explicit purpose of this study was to characterize climate and vegetation along the western slope of the El Sira Mountains(Peru)and evaluate radial tree growth in response to seasonal rainfall *** May 2011 until September 2015,we monitored radial stem growth of 67 trees using point dendrometers and measured climate within five sites along an altitudinal *** transect extends from lowland terra firme forests,over submontane forests,late and mid successional montane cloud forests up to exposed elfin *** rainfall estimates by the TRMM PR satellite(product 3B42)were highly correlated with our rain gauge observations but underestimate rainfall at high *** intra-annual tree growth patterns could be identified within each elevational forest type,showing species with strictly seasonal growth,continuous growth or alternating growth patterns independent of the *** growth at each site was generally larger during rainy seasons,except for the elfin *** rainy season from October 2013 to March 2014 was extraordinarily dry,with only 73%of long-term mean precipitation received,which resulted in reduced radial growth,again with the exception of the elfin *** indicates that montane tropical rain forests may suffer from prolonged droughts,while exposed ridges with elfin forests still receive plenty of precipitation and benefit from receiving more solar radiation for photosynthesis.

Diversity of Insect Flower Visitors on Macadamia within a Monoculture Orchard in Murang’a County, Central Kenya

Macadamia is cultivated for its nutritious edible kernel. In Kenya, the crop is predominantly grown by smallholder farmers mainly for export markets. Macadamia trees also enhance agro-forestry conservation, in the East African farmlands, by providing habitat and floral resources to beneficial arthropods such as insect pollinators. Allogamy of macadamia flowers is largely dependent on insects that pollinate and consequently influence the nut set, retention and yield. However, there is limited information on macadamia insect flower visitors in Kenya. This article assessed the diversity of insects that forage flowers of macadamia crop, and further evaluated their temporal distribution, in Murang’a county, central Kenya. Insect flower visitors were sampled weekly using a butterfly net for twelve consecutive months, from January 2021 to December 2021. Sixty-one insect species were recorded foraging macadamia flowers in Murang’a county, central Kenya. There was a statistical difference in the Simpson diversity index among weather seasons, dry, long rain, cold and short rain (p Apis mellifera), a key pollinator species, being the most abundant flower visitor. This study provides strong baseline information, to scientists and farmers, on probable macadamia pollinator species, in central Kenya. .

Gold modified cobalt-based Fischer-Tropsch catalysts for conversion of synthesis gas to liquid fuels

The addition of Au as a promoter/modifier for alumina supported Co catalyst has been studied by combined in-situ high temperature, high pressure Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） and on-line gas chromatography. The combination of these tools permitted the state of the active catalyst surface to be monitored while following the elution of reaction products during the first 5-7 h on stream of the catalyst. The catalysts under study were a 10%Co/ A1203 and a 2.5%Au/10%Co/A1203. Samples were characterised before use using Raman and temperature programmed reduction （TPR）. During the initial stages of reaction, hydrocarbons were built up on the surface of the catalyst as monitored by FTIR and the nature and amount of these species were assessed in terms of CH2/CH3 ratio and the density of these alkyl fragments by employing absorption coefficients for the individual components. The nature and reducibility of the Co particles were modified by the presence of Au while the later also shifted the CO/ H2 balance by acting as an effective water-gas shift catalyst during the early stages of reaction. This characteristic was lost during reaction as a consequence of redistribution of the two metallic phases.

Mannan-binding lectin(MBL)is a soluble innate immune protein that binds to glycosylated *** acts as an opsonin and activates complement,contributing to the destruction and clearance of infecting *** C virus(HCV)encodes two envelope glycoproteins E1 and E2,expressed as non-covalent E1/E2 heterodimers in the viral envelope.E1 and E2 are potential ligands for *** we describe an analysis of the interaction between HCV and MBL using recombinant soluble E2 ectodomain fragment,the full-length E1/E2 heterodimer,expressed in vitro,and assess the effect of this interaction on virus entry.A binding assay using antibody capture of full length E1/E2 heterodimers was used to demonstrate calcium dependent,saturating binding of MBL to HCV *** with various saccharides further confirmed that the interaction was via the lectin domain of *** binds to E1/E2 representing a broad range of virus *** was shown to neutralize the entry into Huh-7 cells of HCV pseudoparticles(HCVpp)bearing E1/E2 from a wide range of *** were neutralized to varying *** was also shown to neutralize an authentic cell culture infectious virus,strain JFH-1(HCVcc).Furthermore,binding of MBL to E1/E2 was able to activate the complement system via MBL-associated serine protease *** conclusion,MBL interacts directly with HCV glycoproteins,which are present on the surface of the virion,resulting in neutralization of HCV particles.

Reservoir engineering is the term used in quantum control and information technologies to describe manipulating the environment within which an open quantum system operates. Reservoir engineering is essential in applications where storing quantum information is required. From the control theory perspective, a quantum system is capable of storing quantum information if it possesses a so-called decoherence free subsystem （DFS）. This paper explores pole placement techniques to facilitate synthesis of decoherence free subsystems via coherent quantum feedback control. We discuss limitations of the conventional ＇open loop＇ approach and propose a constructive feedback design methodology for decoherence free subsystem engineering. It captures a quite general dynamic coherent feedback structure which allows systems with decoherence free modes to be synthesized from components which do not have such modes.
