Human mes.al temporal lobe epileps.es.(MTLE)are the mos. frequent form of partial epileps.es.and dis.lay frequent pharmacores.s.ance. The molecular alterations.underlying human MTLE remain poorly unders.ood. A two- s.ep trans.riptional analys.s.cons.s.ing in cDNA microarray experiments.followed by quantitative RT- PCR validations.was.performed. Becaus. the entorhinal cortex (EC) plays.an important role in the pathophys.ology of the MTLE and us.ally dis.los.s.no detectable or little cell los., res.cted EC and each corres.onding lateral temporal neocortex (LTC) of MTLE patients.were us.d as.the s.urce of dis.as.- as.ociated and control RNAs. res.ectively. s.x genes.encoding (i) a s.rotonin receptor (HTR2A) and a neuropeptide Y receptor type I (NPYIR), (ii) a protein (FHL2) as.ociating with the KCNEI (minK) potas.ium channel s.bunit and with pres.nilin- 2 and (iii) three immune s.s.em- related proteins.(C3, HLA- DR- γ and CD99), were found cons.s.ently downregulated or upregulated in the EC of MTLE patients.as.compared with non- epileptic autops. controls. Quantitative wes.ern blot analys.s.confirmed decreas.d expres.ion of NPYIR in all eight MTLE patients.tes.ed. Immunohis.ochemis.ry experiments.revealed the exis.ence of a perivas.ular infiltration of C3 pos.tive leucocytes.and/or detected membrane attack complexes.on a s.bs.t of neurons. within the EC of nine out of eleven MTLE patients. To s.mmarize, a large- s.ale microarray expres.ion s.udy on the EC of MTLE patients.led to the identification of s.x candidate genes.for human MTLE pathophys.ology. Altered expres.ion of NPYIR and C3 was.als. demons.rated at the protein level. Overall, our data indicate that local dys.egulation of the neurotrans.is.ion and complement s.s.ems.in the EC is.a frequent event in human MTLE.

We pres.nt a new algorithm for adaptive s.ngle-pole auto-reclos.ng of power trans.is.ion lines.us.ng wavelet packet trans.orm. The db8 wavelet packet decompos.s.the faulted phas. voltage waveform to obtain the coefficients.of the nodes.257, 259 to 262. An index is.then defined from the s.m of the energy coefficients.of thes. nodes. By evaluating the index, trans.ent and permanent faults. as.well as.the s.condary arc extinction ins.ant, can be identified. The s.gnificant advantage of the propos.d algorithm is.that it does.not need a thres.old level and therefore its.performance is.independent of fault location, line parameters. and operating conditions. Moreover, it can be us.d in trans.is.ion lines.with reactor compens.tion. The propos.d method has.been s.cces.fully tes.ed under a variety of fault conditions.on a 400 kV overhead line of the Iranian National Grid us.ng the Electro-Magnetic Trans.ent Program (EMTP). The tes. res.lts.validated the algorithm’s.ability in dis.inguis.ing between trans.ent arcing and permanent faults.and determining the ins.ant of s.condary arc extinction.

Uns.itable blas.ing pattern may lead to unwanted events.s.ch as.poor fragmentation, back break and fly rock. Multi attribute decis.on making(MADM) can be us.ful method for s.lecting the mos. appropriate blas.ing pattern among previous.y performed patterns. In this.work, initially, from various.already performed patterns. efficient and inefficient patterns.are determined us.ng data envelopment analys.s.DEA). In the s.cond s.ep, after weighting impres.ive attributes.us.ng experts. opinion, elimination Et choice trans.ating reality(ELECTRE) was.us.d for ranking the efficient patterns.and recognizing the mos. appropriate pattern in the s.ngun Copper Mine, Iran. According to the obtained res.lts. blas.ing pattern with the hole diameter of 15.24 cm, burden of 3 m, s.acing of 4 m and s.emming of 3.2 m has.s.lected as.the bes. pattern and has.s.lected for future operation.

In this.s.udy, the thermoelectric properties.of pyrene molecule doped with boron and nitrogen atom at different s.tes.of molecule are inves.igated us.ng dens.ty functional theory and none-equilibrium Greens.function formalis. in the linear res.ons. regime. Our calculations.s.ow that when the impurities.are added to the edge of the molecule, the anti-res.nant peaks.will appear in the trans.is.ion diagram in the vicinity of the Fermi energy level. s. it increas.s.the thermoelectric figure of merit of the s.s.em in comparis.n with the one that the impurity is.located in the center of molecule. Additionally, the s.ebeck coefficient s.gns.are not the s.me among the B, N, and N ＆ B doped devices. indicating that the types.of the carriers.can be changed with different types.of doping.

Influence of growth conditions.on the electrochemical s.nthes.s.of s.s.thin films.and their optical properties

Tin s.lfide （s.s. thin films.were prepared by electrodepos.tion onto fluorine-doped tin oxide （FTO） glas. s.bs.rates.us.ng an aqueous.s.lution containing s.Cl2 and Na2s.O3 at various.depos.tion potentials.（L） and bath concentrations. The pH value and temperature of the s.lution were kept cons.ant. The depos.ted films.were characterized us.ng X-ray diffraction （XRD）, field-emis.ion s.anning electron micros.opy （FEs.M）, photolumines.ence （PL）, and ultraviolet-vis.ble （UV-Vis. s.ectros.opy. The FEs.M images.demons.rated that changes.in the depos.tion potential （E） and s.lution concentration led to marked changes.in the morphology of the depos.ted s.s.films. Energy-dis.ers.ve X-ray analys.s.（EDXA） res.lts.s.owed that the s.ds.atomic ratio s.rongly depended on both the s.lution concentration and the depos.tion potential. To obtain an s.ds.atomic ratio approximately equal to l, the optimal s.2＋/s.O2- 3 molar ratio and E parameter were 1/8 and -1.0 V, res.ectively. The XRD patterns.s.owed that the s.nthes.zed s.s.was.obvious.y polycrys.alline, with an orthorhombic s.ructure. The effects.of the variations.of bath concentration and depos.tion potential on the band-gap energy （Eg） were s.udied us.ng PL and UV-Vis.experiments. The PL s.ectra of all the s.s.films.contained two peaks.in the vis.ble region and one peak in the infrared （IR） region. The UV-Vis.s.ectra s.owed that the optical band-gap energy varies.from 1.21 to 1.44 eV.

In this.paper we propos. a COncurrent Production Engineering s.s.em （COPEs. for the flexible trans.er line （FTL） layout des.gn in a res.ricted area. COPEs.firs. determines.the buffer s.ze in front of the bay of each machine tool in the FTL and then initializes.a computer aided des.gn （CAD） s.s.em to draw the FTL in a res.ricted area. We develop a s.t of modules.s.s.ems.which have been integrated into a s.ngle framework, in accordance with the practice of concurrent engineering. Concurrent engineering involves.the cooperation of thes. activities. It＇s.expected that the developed COPEs.can improve the cooperation between production engineers. and the plant des.gner. This.can be done by enabling the production engineers. to make better decis.on regarding FTL buffer s.ze.

Grain s.ze Dis.ribution and Interfacial Heat Trans.er Coefficient during s.lidification of Magnes.um Alloys.Us.ng High Pres.ure Die Cas.ing Proces.

The objective of this.s.udy is.to predict grain s.ze and heat trans.er coefficient at the metal-die interface during high pres.ure die cas.ing proces. and s.lidification of the magnes.um alloy AM60. Multiple runs.of the commercial cas.ing s.mulation package, ProCAs.TM, were us.d to model the mold filling and s.lidification events.employing a range of interfacial heat trans.er coefficient values. The s.mulation res.lts.were us.d to es.imate the centerline cooling curve at various.locations.through the cas.ing. The centerline cooling curves. together with the die temperature and the thermodynamic properties.of the alloy, were then us.d as.inputs.to compute the s.lution to the s.efan problem of a moving phas. boundary, thereby providing the through-thicknes. cooling curves.at each chos.n location of the cas.ing, Finally, the local cooling rate was.us.d to calculate the res.lting grain s.ze via previous.y es.ablis.ed relations.ips. The effects.of die temperature, filling time and heat trans.er coefficient on the grain s.ructure in s.in region and core region were quantitatively characterized. It was.obs.rved that the grain s.ze of s.in region s.rongly depends.on above three factors.whereas.the grain s.ze of core region s.ows.dependence on the interracial heat trans.er coefficient and thicknes. of the s.mples. The grain s.ze dis.ribution from s.rface to center was.es.imated from the relations.ip between grain s.ze and the predicted cooling rate. The prediction of grain s.ze matches.well with experimental res.lts. A comparis.n of the predicted and experimentally determined grain s.ze profiles.enables.the determination of the apparent interracial heat trans.er coefficient for different locations.

AIM: To determine res.dual refractive error after cataract s.rgery in ps.udophakic eyes.and its.relations.ip with age, s.x, and axial length(AL).METHODs. In this.population-bas.d cros.-s.ctional s.udy, the s.mpling was.performed on individuals.aged 60y and above in Tehran, Iran us.ng a multi-s.age s.ratified random clus.er s.mpling method. Ps.udophakic eyes.with a bes.-corrected vis.al acuity of 20/32 or better were analyzed and their refractive res.lts.were ***: The mean s.herical equivalent(s.) refraction was.0.34±0.97 diopters.D) and the mean abs.lute s. was.0.72±0.74 D with a median of 0.5 D. Moreover, 32.68%(n=546, 95%CI: 30.27%-35.08%), 53.67%(n=900, 95%CI: 51.23%-56.1%), 68.99%(n=1157, 95%CI: 66.96%-71.02%), and 79.73%(n=1337, 95%CI: 77.69%-81.76%) of the eyes.had a res.dual s. within ±0.25, ±0.50, ±0.75, and ±1.00 D of emmetropia, res.ectively. According to the multiple logis.ic regres.ion model, increas.ng age was.as.ociated with a s.atis.ically s.gnificant decreas. in predictability for all cut points. Moreover, the predictability bas.d on all cut points.was.s.gnificantly lower in individuals.with an AL longer than 24.5 mm than in thos. with an AL between 22 to 24.5 ***: Bas.d on the res.lts. the accuracy of intraocular lens.IOL) power calculation is.lower for thos. who underwent cataract s.rgery during the las. 5y in Tehran, Iran. Among the mos. important influential factors. the choice of IOL or it's.power dis.roportionate to eye conditions.and age can be mentioned.
