Adaptive neural network observer for proton-exchange membrane fuel cell system

This paper develops an adaptive neural network(NN)observer for proton-exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).Indeed,information on the oxygen excess ratio(OER)value is crucial to ensure optimal management of the durability and reliability of the *** OER indicator is computed from the mass of oxygen and nitrogen inside the PEMFC ***,the measurement process of both these masses is difficult and *** solve this problem,the design of a PEMFC state observer is ***,the behaviour of the fuel cell system is highly non-linear and its modelling is *** to this constraint,a multilayer perceptron neural network(MLPNN)-based observer is proposed in this paper to estimate the oxygen and nitrogen *** notable advantage of the suggested MLPNN observer is that it does not require a database to train the ***,the weights of the NN are updated in real time using the output *** addition,the observer parameters,namely the learning rate and the damping factor,are online adapted using the optimization tools of extremum ***,the proposed observer stability analysis is performed using the Lyapunov *** observer performances are validated by simulation under MATLAB®/Simulink®.The supremacy of the proposed adaptive MLPNN observer is highlighted by comparison with a fixed-parameter MLPNN observer and a classical high-gain observer(HGO).The mean rela-tive error value of the excess oxygen rate is considered the performance index,which is equal to 1.01%for an adaptive MLPNN and 3.95%and 9.95%for a fixed MLPNN and HGO,***,a robustness test of the proposed observer with respect to measurement noise is performed.

Railroad condition monitoring is paramount due to frequent passage through densely populated *** significance arises from the potential consequences of accidents such as train derailments,hazardous materials leaks,or collisions which may have far-reaching impacts on communities and the surrounding *** a solution to this issue,the use of distributed acoustic sensing(DAS)-fiber optic cables along railroads provides a feasible tool for monitoring the health of these extended ***,analyzing DAS data to assess railroad health or detect potential damage is a challenging *** to the large amount of data generated by DAS,as well as the unstructured patterns and substantial noise present,traditional analysis methods are ineffective in interpreting this *** paper introduces a novel approach that harnesses the power of deep learning through a combination of CNNs and LSTMs,augmented by sliding window techniques(CNN-LSTM-SW),to advance the state-of-the-art in the railroad condition monitoring *** well as it presents the potential for DAS and fiber optic sensing technologies to revolutionize the proposed CNN-LSTM-SW model to detect conditions along the rail track *** insights from the data of High tonnage load(HTL)-a 4.16 km fiber optic and DAS setup,we were able to distinguish train position,normal condition,and abnormal conditions along the ***,our investigation demonstrated that the proposed approaches could serve as efficient techniques for processing DAS signals and detecting the condition of railroad infrastructures at any remote distance with DAS-Fiber optic cable ***,in terms of pinpointing the train's position,the CNN-LSTM architecture showcased an impressive 97%detection *** a sliding window,the CNN-LSTM labeled data,the remaining 3%of misclassified labels have been improved dramatically by predicting the exact locations of each type of ***,these prop

Use of GIS and BIM for the integration of tunnel designand construction process in conventional tunneling

This paper presents the development of a framework for the parametric design of tunnels using geographic information system (GIS)mapping and building information modelling (BIM). According to the framework, a parametric representation of each system component (e.g., layers of rock mass, size of excavation, topography, fault geometry, primary lining, secondary lining, rock bolts, etc.) can beincorporated in the GIS model with high levels of detail and used for the automatic generation of numerical models for the design oftunnel construction. This parametric evaluation allows the designer to consider several levels of detail for each component, for the effi-cient design and process optimization in conventional tunneling. Information between parametric analysis and numerical simulations canbe freely exchanged with significantly reduced computational effort while results can be exported into BIM. It is anticipated that the proposed framework could lead to a comprehensive, yet efficient analysis of complex conventional tunneling project using parametric evaluations at the early design stages.

Cancer frequently develops resistance to the majority of chemotherapy *** study aimed to examine the synergistic cytotoxic and antitumor effects of SGLT2 inhibitors,specifically Canagliflozin(CAN),Dapagliflozin(DAP),Empagliflozin(EMP),and Doxorubicin(DOX),using in vitro *** precise combination of CAN+DOX has been found to greatly enhance the cytotoxic effects of doxorubicin(DOX)in MCF-7 ***,it was shown that cancer cells exhibit an increased demand for glucose and ATP in order to support their ***,when these medications were combined with DOX,there was a considerable inhibition of glucose consumption,as well as reductions in intracellular ATP and lactate ***,this effect was found to be dependent on the dosages of the *** addition to effectively inhibiting the cell cycle,the combination of CAN+DOX induces substantial modifications in both cell cycle and apoptotic gene *** work represents the initial report on the beneficial impact of SGLT2 inhibitor medications,namely CAN,DAP,and EMP,on the responsiveness to the anticancer properties of *** underlying molecular mechanisms potentially involve the suppression of the function of SGLT2.

Synergistic enhancement of photocatalytic and antimicrobial efficacy of nitrogen and erbium co-doped ZnO nanoparticles

Using the chemical co-precipitation approach,a series of nitrogen(N) and erbium(Er) co-doped ZnO nanoparticles(NPs) was effectively synthesized to enhance the photocatalytic and antibacterial *** characterization techniques,including X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectro scopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),UV-vis,and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy,were carried out to validate the evaluated photocatalytic and antibacterial *** analysis confirms the pure wurtzite ZnO phase without the presence of any secondary *** analysis confirms the succe ssful incorporation of nitrogen and erbium into the ZnO *** optical bandgap of ZnO calculated from UV-vis spectroscopy shows a redshift after Er-N co-doping,with the lowest bandgap of 3.215 eV calculated for Zn_(0.97)Er_(0.03)N_(0.01)O_(0.99) *** images demonstrate the formation of nanorods after N-Er co-doping,followed by gradually increase d rod diameter and length after N-Er ***,the photocatalytic activities of ZnO samples we re measured by their ability to facilitate the photodegradation of Rhodamine B under UV *** with 1 mol% N doping exhibits 88% photodegradation of RhB under UV light within 360 min,and the photodegradation and antibacterial activity are greatly improved with Er *** fact,3 mol% Er-1 mol% N doped ZnO NPs demonstrate the highest photocatalytic activity,with approximately 96% degradation after 360 min,as well as superior antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus(Gram-positive bacteria) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa(Gram-negative bacteria) with the highest zone of inhibition(ZOI) of 16 nm,due to nanorod formation,increased reactive oxygen species(ROS),and decreased electron-hole recombination,as validated by SEM,XPS,and PL spectroscopy.

The Qom Formation is the most important hydrocarbon reservoir target in Central *** Qom platform developed in a back-arc basin during the Oligo-Miocene due to the closing of the Tethyan *** formation consists of a variety of carbonate and non-carbonate facies deposited on a platform ranging from supratidal to basin.A combination of tectonic and eustatic events led to some lateral and vertical facies variations in the study *** third-order depositional sequences and related surfaces were identified regarding vertical facies changes in the studied sections of this Oligo-Miocene *** to all results and data,this succession was initially deposited during the Chattian upon a distally steepened ramp of siliciclastic-carbonate composition,including the Bouma ***,from the late Chattian to the Aquitanian,the platform changed into a homoclinal carbonate ramp with a gentle *** respect to tectonic activity,this phase was a calm period during the deposition of the Qom ***,a drowned carbonate platform and a rimmed shelf emerged during the Burdigalian,terminated by the continental deposits of the Upper Red *** all geological characteristics,three main tectono-eustatic evolutionary phases have been recognized in the Qom back-arcbasin.

Correlation of periodontal inflamed surface area with glycated hemoglobin,interleukin-6 and lipoprotein(a)in type 2 diabetes with retinopathy
