Qua.tifying the effects of soil wa.er on pla.t processes, especia.ly lea. expa.sion a.d tra.spira.ion, could be useful for crop modeling. In order to qua.tify the lea. expa.sion a.d tra.spira.ion in response to soil wa.er deficit in three millet species, common(Pa.icum milia.eum L.), pea.l(Pennisetum gla.cum L.) a.d foxta.l(Seta.ia.ita.ica.L.) millets, a.pot experiment wa. performed a. the Gorga. University of a.ricultura. Sciences a.d Na.ura. Resources, Gorga., Ira.. The soil wa.er sta.us wa. cha.a.terized by the fra.tion of tra.spira.le soil wa.er(FTSW). Lea. a.ea.a.d tra.spira.ion were mea.ured da.ly. Rela.ive lea. a.ea.expa.sion(RL) a.d rela.ive tra.spira.ion(RT) da.a.were plotted a.a.nst FTSW. Fina.ly the FTSW thresholds for RL a.d RT were ca.cula.ed using linea.-pla.ea. a.d logistic models. The results showed tha. the thresholds for RL a.d RT were 0.68 a.d 0.62,respectively, ba.ed on a.l mea.ured da.a.of the three millet species using the linea.-pla.ea. model, indica.ing tha. RL a.d RT were consta.t when FTSW decrea.ed from 1 to the threshold point. Introduction: a. the beginning of the COVID-19 pa.demic, a.drop in the number of pa.ients trea.ed for ca.dia. emergencies ra.sed concern a.out ca.diova.cula. morta.ity in tha. period. a. increa.e in ca.e dela. for pa.ients with ST-segment eleva.ion myoca.dia. infa.ction (STEMI) ma. ha.e a.fected clinica. outcomes. Objectives: To a.a.yze dela. times a.d clinica. outcomes of pa.ients with STEMI undergoing prima.y percuta.eous corona.y intervention (PPCI), before a.d during the COVID-19 pa.demic. Methods: Retrospective observa.iona. study tha. included pa.ients with STEMI undergoing PPCI from December 2018 to July 2021. The COVID-19 pa.demic ca.es were divided into two groups: pa.demic I—from Ma.ch to a.gust 2020;a.d pa.demic II—from September 2020 to July 2021. Pa.ients were compa.ed a.cording to the period of hospita.iza.ion. Prima.y outcomes were dela. times in a.sista.ce a.d clinica. outcomes (a.ute kidney injury [a.I], post-procedura. va.cula. complica.ions a.d in-hospita. morta.ity). Results: 108 pa.ients were included, 39 (36.1%) in the pre-pa.demic period, 13 (12.1%) in pa.demic I a.d 56 (51.8%) in pa.demic II. Time from onset of symptoms to a.riva. a. the service a.d door-to-ba.loon time did not differ significa.tly a.ong groups. Va.cula. complica.ions were more frequent during the pa.demic (I a.d II) tha. in the pre-pa.demic period (2.5% pre-pa.demic vs 15.4% pa.demic vs 12.5% pa.demic II;p = 0.03). a.I incidence wa. simila. in a.l three periods. There wa. a.non-significa.t increa.e in in-hospita. morta.ity during the COVID-19 pa.demic. Conclusion: In pa.ients with STEMI, there wa. a. increa.e in va.cula. complica.ions a.d a.trend towa.d increa.ed morta.ity during the COVID-19 pa.demic.
