Origin of the giant persistent photoconductivity in LaAlO_(3)/SrTiO_(3)heterostructures probed by noise spectroscopy

LaAlO_(3)/SrTiO_(3)(LAO/STO)heterostructures have shown a strong persistent photoconductivity(PPC)at room *** abnormally strong PPC has attracted immense research interest due to its possible applications in optically-tunable electronic *** its promise,the fundamental understanding of the PPC in the LAO/STO heterostructures is still ***,we report that the giant PPC origi-nates from the photo-induced valence change in oxygen vacancies near the LAO/STO *** spec-tral analysis of the photocurrent and the model-fitting study consistently show that the ionized oxygen vacancies near the interface are neutralized during the electron relaxation *** hinder the complete relaxation of the photoexcited electrons by the deeply-located oxygen vacancies and result in the strong *** change in the ionization state distribution of the oxygen vacancies is probed by the per-sistent noise behavior at the frequency between 1 kHz and 20 kHz *** results provide insight into the role of oxygen vacancies in influencing the internal charge distribution and triggering the PPC phenomena in complex oxide heterostructures.

For the global commercialization of highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells(PSCs),it is necessary to effectively suppress the formation of various defects acting as nonradiative recombination sources in perovskite light-harvesting *** defects between the charge-selective layer and the perovskite are easily formed in the solution process used to fabricate perovskite *** addition,owing to the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between the substrate and the perovskite film,internal residual tensile stress inevitably occurs,resulting in increased nonradiative ***,a simple compositional engineering scheme for realizing efficient and stable PSCs,which incorporates acetamidinium bromide(AABr)as an additive into the MAPbI_(3) lattice,is *** an additive,AABr has been found to provide synergistic multiple passivation for both internal and interfacial *** was found to effectively release the tensile strain of the MAPbI_(3) film by forming a structure stabilized by NH-I hydrogen bonds,as evidenced by calculations based on density functional theory(DFT).Furthermore,the incorporated AABr additives created a charge carrier recombination barrier to enhance charge collection capability by reducing interfacial ***,a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20.18%was achieved using a planar device employing AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3).This was substantially higher than the 18.32% PCE of a pristine MAPbI_(3)-based ***,unencapsulated PSCs using AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3) absorbers exhibited excellent long-term stability,maintaining>95% of initial PCE up to 1200 hours in ambient air.

According to deplete natural resources and need to protect the environment,the demand of a usage of waste material has significantly *** studies are currently being carried out on the development of innovative and environmentally friendly materials for securing the safety of road users and improving the performance and durability of *** example,studies are currently being conducted on the use of waste tires as a substitute for currently used *** the development of the automobile industry,the amount of waste tire has continuously increased in accordance with the increased vehicle ***-derived fuel(TDF)has been used as a fuel source with generated TDF fly *** filler,made of fine mineral particles of a physical size passing the number 200 standard mesh sieve(75 micron),plays an important role in asphalt mixtures *** paper presents an application of TDF fly ash as filler in hot mix asphalt(HMA).In this study,the performance of TDF fly ash was confirmed through a comparison with three other mineral fillers:stone dust,cement,and hydrated *** tests including Marshall stability test,moisture sensitivity test,dynamic immersion test,and a wheel tracking test were performed to investigate the difference in the behaviors of the samples with different parameters considered in this *** results show that the mechanical performance of hot mix asphalt using TDF fly ash satisfied the quality standard specification of the Ministry of Land,Infrastructure and Transport(MOLIT),*** can be concluded that the use of TDF fly ash as a mineral filler in HMA not only satisfied the mechanical properties,but also reduced the volume of the pollutants waste in the environment.

This paper reports the pH-induced structural changes in the surface immobilized poly（L-lysine）（PLL）***-dimensional（2D） correlation analysis was applied to the Fourier transform infrared（FTIR）spectra of the surface-immobilized PLL film to examine the spectral changes induced by the alternations of the protonation state of the amino group in the side *** spectral changes in the FTIR spectra of the PLL film were observed between pH 7 and *** decrease in the protonation state of the amino group in the side chain induced spectral changes in the amino group as well as conformational changes in the alky]group in the side *** pH 1-8,the spectral changes in the amino and alkyl groups in the side chain occurred before those of the amide group in the main chain of the surface immobilized PLL film.

This paper investigates the effects of types and aging of asphalt binder on healing performance of asphalt mixture modified with steel wool fibers(SWF)using induction heating *** binders PG58-22,PG64-22 and PG76-22,widely used in Korea,were applied in this *** rolling thin film oven(RTFO)and pressure ageing vessel(PAV)tests were conducted to simulate the aging process of asphalt *** healing performance of mixtures was evaluated by the crack-heal process,which included semi-circular bending and induction heating *** cooking oil waste was used as a rejuvenator in order to refresh the aged binder and its healing performance was also *** results indicated that the performance grade(PG)of asphalt binder slightly affected the healing performance of mixtures due to the difference of binder *** addition,the healing level of asphalt mixture was reduced significantly by aged asphalt ***,it was found that using cooking oil waste as a rejuvenator for the aged asphalt mixture can improve its healing performance.

We re port the facile synthesis of Ni,Co-double hydroxide wire(NCHW)-based electrodes directly grown on a conductive substrate via a hydrothermal *** NCHW nanostructures were grown on Ni foam,and the growth was controlled using different compositions of solvents(ethanol and water).With increasing volume ratio of ethanol to water,the density of the wires decreased,and the spatial voids between the wires *** formation of large empty spaces improved the electrochemical performance because the exposure of a large surface area of the structure to the electrolyte resulted in a large number of active sites and facile electrolyte penetration into the *** different NCHW structures were ascribed to the pivotal role of the solvent in the urea hydrolysis;the solvent triggered the formation of hydroxides during the hydrothermal *** electrochemical performance of the NCHW electrodes was investigated via galvanostatic charge/discha rge tests,cyclic voltammetry,and electrochemical impedance *** highest specific capacitance was 1694.7 m F/cm^2 at 2 mA/cm^2,with excellent capacitance retention of 81.5% after 5000 *** superior electrochemical performance of the NCHW electrodes is attributed to the large number of active sites and facile electrolyte diffusion into the structure,due to the well-organized structure with an optimized density of nanowires and large voids between the wires.

In this study,a CO_(2) capture material in the form of liquid-like adsorbents(LLAs) is developed to overcome the limitations of conventional types of *** increase in indoor activities necessitates the capture of CO_(2) in enclosed indoor *** spaces require safe and stable materials for CO_(2) capture because humans are present in these *** adsorbents are mainly used because liquid absorbents are unsuitable owing to noise and scattering *** LLA,the liquid absorbent assembled by carbon nanotubes(CNTs) is solidified and prevented from flowing and scattering *** present to maintain 95% of initial capacity after recycling 20 times,and have characteristics that can be regenerated in a low temperature heat source(80 to 120℃) and moisture *** work not only provides indoor useable CO_(2) capture materials,but also offers a new prospect in the field of adsorbents.

BACKGROUND Isolated musculocutaneous nerve injury is a rare ***,we report the first case of bilateral musculocutaneous neuropathy after vigorous stretching of both upper extremities with normal results of sensory nerve action *** should be aware of this rare condition that can appear *** addition,the interpretation of the aberrant electrodiagnostic study results of this case was *** SUMMARY A 29-year-old male complaining of bilateral forearm tingling and upper extremity weakness visited the outpatient *** symptoms began 6 mo prior,and he visited another hospital before visiting our *** diagnosis was not made even after cervical spine magnetic resonance imaging,electrodiagnostic study,brain magnetic resonance imaging,and arteriography were *** patient performed unique exercises that stretched the pectoralis minor and coracobrachialis *** the follow-up electrodiagnostic study,abnormal spontaneous activities in the bilateral biceps and brachialis muscles were *** patient was diagnosed with bilateral musculocutaneous *** pulse therapy was administered for approximately 6 *** treatment,his muscle strength returned to the predisease *** Clinicians should be aware of this condition,have adequate understanding of anatomy,and advise to correct inappropriate exercises.

Harvesting photosynthetic electrons （PEs） from plant or algal cells can be a highly efficient and environmentally friendly way of generating renewable energy. Recent work on nanoelectrode insertion into algal cells has demonstrated the possibility to directly extract PEs from living algal cells with high efficiencies. However, the instability of the inserted cells limits the practicality of this technology. Here, the impact of nanoelectrode insertion on intracellular extraction of PEs is characterized with the goal of stabilizing algal cells after nanoelectrode insertion. Using nanoelectrodes 〈 500 nm in diameter, algal cells remained stable for over one week after insertion and continued to provide PEs through direct extraction by the inserted nanoelectrodes. After nanoelectrode insertion, a photosynthetic current density of 6 ***-2, which is several fold higher than the current densities attained using approaches based on isolated thylakoid membranes or photosystem I complexes, was observed in the dark and during illumination at various light intensities.
