The nanocrystalline Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+ co-doped CaWO4 upconversion(UC) phosphors were successfully synthesized by a modified citrate complex method using microwave irradiation. The citrate complex precursors were heat-treated at temperature ranging from 300 to 700 °C for 3 h. Crystallization of the Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+ co-doped CaWO4 was detected at 400 °C, and entirely completed at 600 °C. The Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+ co-doped CaWO4 heat-treated at 600 °C showed primarily spherical and homogeneous morphology. Under the laser excitation of 980 nm, Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+ co-doped CaWO4 shows the bright white upconversion(UC) emission visible to the naked eye, which is composed of a blue emission at 475 nm from Tm3+, and green and red emissions at 543 and 651 nm respectively from Ho3+. The coordinates of Ho3+/Tm3+/Yb3+ co-doped CaWO4 in the Commission International De'eclairage(CIE) chromaticity diagram could be controlled from a cool to a warm white color depending on the Tm3+ and Ho3+ concentrations. The UC luminescent properties on Tm3+ and Ho3+ concentrations and related mechanism based on laser pump power were discussed in detail.

AIM：To investigate the incidence and general characteristics of sports-related eye injuries in patients visiting the Emergency Department. The biosynthesis of host lipids and/or lipid droplets(LDs)has been studied extensively as a putative therapeutic target in diverse viral ***,directly targeting the LD lipolytic catabolism in virus-infected cells has not been widely ***,we show the linkage of the LD-associated lipase activation to the breakdown of LDs for the generation of free fatty acids(FFAs)at the late stage of diverse RNA viral infections,which represents a broad-spectrum antiviral *** of membrane transporter systems due to virus-induced cell injury results in intracellular malnutrition at the late stage of infection,thereby making the virus more dependent on the FFAs generated from LD storage for viral morphogenesis and as a source of *** replication of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A virus(IAV),which is suppressed by the treatment with LD-associated lipases inhibitors,is rescued by supplementation with *** administration of lipase inhibitors,either individually or in a combination with virus-targeting drugs,protects mice from lethal IAV infection and mitigates severe lung lesions in SARS-CoV-2-infected ***,the lipase inhibitors significantly reduce proinflammatory cytokine levels in the lungs of SARS-CoV-2-and IAV-challenged animals,a cause of a cytokine storm important for the critical infection or mortality of COVID-19 and IAV *** conclusion,the results reveal that lipase-mediated intracellular LD lipolysis is commonly exploited to facilitate RNA virus replication and furthermore suggest that pharmacological inhibitors of LD-associated lipases could be used to curb current COVID-19-and future pandemic outbreaks of potentially troublesome RNA virus infection in humans.

Objective:While a rushed operation can omit essential procedures,prolonged operative time results in higher ***,the optimal operative time range remains *** study aimed to estimate the ideal operative time range and evaluate its applicability in laparoscopic cancer ***:A prospectively collected multicenter database of 397 patients who underwent laparoscopic distal gastrectomy were retrospectively *** ideal operative time range was statistically calculated by separately analyzing the operative time of uneventful ***,intraoperative and postoperative outcomes were compared among the shorter,ideal,and longer operative time ***:The statistically calculated ideal operative time was 135.4-165.4 *** longer operative time(LOT)group had a lower rate of uneventful,perfect surgery than the ideal or shorter operative time(IOT/SOT)group(2.8%vs.8.8%and 2.2%vs.13.4%,all P<0.05).Longer operative time increased bleeding,postoperative morbidities,and delayed diet and discharge(all P<0.05).Particularly,an uneventful,perfect surgery could not be achieved when the operative time exceeded 240 *** of ideal time range,SOT group achieved the highest percentage of uneventful surgery(13.4%),which was possible by surgeon's ability to retrieve a higher number of lymph nodes and perform≥150 gastrectomies ***:Operative time longer than the ideal time range(especially≥240 min)should be *** the essential operative procedure were faithfully conducted without compromising oncological safety,an operative time shorter than the ideal range leaded to a better *** to minimize operative time should be attempted with sufficient surgical experience.

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) reaction for the direct production of gasoline range hydrocarbons (C5-C9) from syngas was investigated on Ru, Pt, and La promoted Co/ZSM-5 (Si/Al = 25) catalysts. The hybrid catalysts were characterized by BET surface area, XRD, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD and XPS analyses. These physico-chemical properties were correlated with activity and selectivity of the catalysts. The promoted Co/ZSM-5 hybrid catalysts were found to be superior to the unpromoted Co/ZSM-5 catalyst in terms of better C5-C9 selectivity. Pt-Co/ZSM-5 exhibited the highest catalytic activity because of the small cobalt particle size.

Background:New-onset diabetes after transplantation(NODAT)is a serious complication following liver transplantation(LT).The present study aimed to investigate the incidence of and risk factors for NODAT using the Korean Organ Transplantation Registry(KOTRY)***:Patients with history of pediatric transplantation(age≤18 years),re-transplantation,multi-organ transplantation,or pre-existing diabetes mellitus were excluded.A total of 1,919 non-diabetic adult patients who underwent a primary LT between May 2014 and December 2017 were *** factors were identified using Cox regression ***:NODAT occurred in 19.7%(n=377)of adult liver transplant *** analysis showed steroid use,increased age,and high body mass index(BMI)in recipients,and implantation of a left-side liver graft was closely associated with NODAT in adult *** living donor liver transplant(LDLT)patients(n=1,473),open donor hepatectomy in the living donors,steroid use,small for size liver graft(graft to recipient weight ratio≤0.8),increased age,and high BMI in the recipient were predictive factors for *** use of antimetabolite and basiliximab induction reduced the incidence of NODAT in adult LT and in adult ***:Basiliximab induction,early steroid withdrawal,and antimetabolite therapy may prevent NODAT after adult *** BMI or advanced age in liver recipients,open donor hepatectomy in living donors,and small size liver graft can predict the occurrence of NODAT after adult LT or LDLT.

AIM:To determine whether magnified observation of short-segment Barrett’s esophagus(BE)is useful for the detection of specialized intestinal metaplasia(SIM).METHODS:Thirty patients with suspected short-segment BE underwent magnifying endoscopy up to×*** magnified images were analyzed with respect to their pit-patterns,which were simultaneously classified into five epithelial types[Ⅰ(small round),Ⅱ(straight),Ⅲ(long oval),Ⅳ(tubular),Ⅴ(villous)]by Endo’s ***,a 0.5%solution of methylene blue(MB)was sprayed over columnar *** patterns of the magnified image and MB staining were *** were obtained from the regions previously observed by magnifying endoscopy and MB ***:Three of five patients with a typeⅤ(villous)epithelial pattern had SIM,whereas 21 patients with a non-typeⅤepithelial patterns did not have *** sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of pit-patterns in detecting SIM were 100%,91.3%,92.3%,60%and100%,respectively(P=0.004).Three of the 12 patients with positive MB staining had SIM,whereas 14patients with negative MB staining did not have *** sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of MB staining in detecting SIM were 100%,60.9%,65.4%,25%and100%,respectively(P=0.085).The specificity and accuracy of pit-pattern evaluation were significantly superior compared with MB staining for detecting SIM by comparison with the exact McNemar’s test(P=0.0391).CONCLUSION:The magnified observation of a shortsegment BE according to the mucosal pattern and its classification can be predictive of SIM.
