Recently, demand for the lightweight alloy in electric/electronic housings has been greatly increased. However, among the lightweight alloys, aluminum alloy thin-walled die casting is problematic because it is quite difficult to achieve sufficient fluidity and feedability to fill the thin cavity as the wall thickness becomes less than 1mm. Therefore, in this study, thin-walled die casting of aluminum （Al-Si-Cu alloy： ALDC 12） in size of notebook computer housing and thickness of 0.8 mm was investigated by solidification simulation （MAGMA soft） and actual casting experiment （Buhler Evolution B 53D）. Three different types of gating design, finger, tangential and split type with 6 vertical runners, were simulated and the results showed that sound thin-walled die casting was possible with tangential and split type gating design because those gates allowed aluminum melt to flow into the thin cavity uniformly and split type gating system was preferable gating design comparing to tangential type gating system at the point of view of soundness of casting and distortion generated after solidification. Also, the solidification simulation agreed well with the actual die-casting and the casting showed no casting defects and distortion.

The simultaneous measurement of the spatial profile and spectrum of laser-accelerated protons is important for further optimization of the beam qualities and *** report a detailed study regarding the underlying physics and regular procedure of such a measurement through the radioactivation of a stack composed of aluminum,copper,and CR-39 plates as well as radiochromic films(RCFs).After being radioactivated,the copper plates are placed on imaging plates(IPs)to detect the positrons emitted by the reaction products through contact *** spectrum and energy-dependent spatial profile of the protons are then obtained from the IPs and confirmed by the measured ones from the RCFs and CR-39 *** also discuss the detection range,influence of electrons,radiation safety,and spatial resolution of this ***,insights regarding the extension of the current method to online measurements and dynamic proton imaging are also provided.

The aims of this study are to investigate the effects of Nd addition in the Mg-Al-Ca alloys on microstructure and mechanical *** of as-cast Mg-5Al-3Ca alloy containing Nd consists ofα-Mg matrix, eutectic phase and Al-Nd rich intermetallic *** Nd addition was increased,α-Mg matrix morphology was changed from dendritic to equiaxed grains and average value of grain size was *** addition to Mg-5Al-3Ca based alloys resulted in the formation of Al-Nd rich intermetallic compounds at grain boundary andα-Mg matrix *** these Al-Nd rich intermetallic compounds were dispersed *** these alloys,two kinds of eutectic phases were observed,*** irregular-shape structure at grain boundary and fine needle-shape structure in theα-Mg matrix *** is found that the ultimate strength showed the maximum value of 271 MPa at Mg-5Al-3Ca-2Nd alloy and elongation was decreased as the addition of Nd was increased.

AIM To evaluate the differences in outcomes between ABOincompatible(ABO-I) liver transplantation(LT) and ABO-compatible(ABO-C) *** A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed by searching eligible articles published before November 28, 2016 on MEDLINE(Pub Med), EMBASE, and Cochrane databases. The primary endpoints were graft survival, patient survival, and ABO-I-related complications. RESULTS Twenty-one retrospective observational studies with a total of 8247 patients were included in this metaanalysis. Pooled results of patient survival for ABO-I LT were comparable to those for ABO-C LT. However, ABO-I LT showed a poorer graft survival than ABO-C LT(1-year: OR = 0.66, 95%CI: 0.57-0.76, P < 0.001; 3-year: OR = 0.74, 95% CI 0.64-0.85, P < 0.001; 5-yearr: OR =0.75, 95%CI: 0.66-0.86, P < 0.001). Furthermore, ABO-I LT was associated with more incidences of antibody-mediated rejection(OR = 74.21, 95%CI: 16.32-337.45, P < 0.001), chronic rejection(OR =2.28, 95%CI: 1.00-5.22, P = 0.05), cytomegalovirus infection(OR = 2.64, 95%CI: 1.63-4.29, P < 0.001), overall biliary complication(OR = 1.52, 95%CI: 1.01-2.28, P = 0.04), and hepatic artery complication(OR = 4.17, 95%CI: 2.26-7.67, P < 0.001) than ABO-C LT. In subgroup analyses, ABO-I LT and ABO-C LT showed a comparable graft survival in pediatric patients and those using rituximab, and ABO-I LT showed an increased acute cellular rejection in cases involving deceased donor *** Although patient survival in ABO-I LT was comparable to that in ABO-C LT, ABO-I LT was inferior to ABO-C LT in graft survival and several complications. Graft survival of ABO-I LT could be comparable to that of ABO-C LT in pediatric patients and those using rituximab.

The influence of fabrication on the tensile and fatigue behavior of copper films manufactured by 3 kinds of fabrication methods was investigated. The tensile and high cycle fatigue tests were performed using the test machine developed by authors. Young＇s moduli （72, 71 and 69 GPa, respectively） are lower than the literature values （108-145 GPa）, while the yield strengths were as high as 358, 350 and 346 MPa, respectively and the ultimate strengths as 462, 456 and 446 MPa, respectively. There is not much difference in the tensile properties of the 3 kinds of films. There is little difference in the fatigue properties of the 3 kinds of films but one of them has shorter fatigue life than others in high cycle region and longer fatigue life than others in low cycle region.

BACKGROUND Simultaneous bilineage hematologic malignancies are rare;however,several cases of acute myeloid leukemia(AML)and T-lymphoblastic lymphoma(T-LBL)cooccurrence have been reported.A standard treatment for simultaneous AML and T-LBL has not yet been established,and its prognosis is very *** studies to develop standard treatments are required to increase patient survival *** SUMMARY A 69-year-old man complaining of pleuritic chest pain visited the emergency *** tomography revealed multiple enlarged lymph nodes(LNs)in the neck and groin and pulmonary thromboembolism with pulmonary ***,a peripheral blood smear performed due to leukocytosis revealed circulating *** myelomonocytic leukemia(AMML)was diagnosed after bone marrow examination,and T-LBL positivity for terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase,cluster of differentiation(CD)34,and CD4 was confirmed by cervical LN *** and dexamethasone were administered because he could not receive intensive chemotherapy due to poor performance *** remission of AMML and T-LBL was achieved after 4 cycles of decitabine plus *** We report the therapeutic effect of decitabine,a hypomethylating agent(HMA),in patients with concurrent bilineage hematologic malignancies and suggest that further studies are required to evaluate the therapeutic effect of HMAs on both lymphoid and bilineage hematologic malignancies.

We re port the facile synthesis of Ni,Co-double hydroxide wire(NCHW)-based electrodes directly grown on a conductive substrate via a hydrothermal *** NCHW nanostructures were grown on Ni foam,and the growth was controlled using different compositions of solvents(ethanol and water).With increasing volume ratio of ethanol to water,the density of the wires decreased,and the spatial voids between the wires *** formation of large empty spaces improved the electrochemical performance because the exposure of a large surface area of the structure to the electrolyte resulted in a large number of active sites and facile electrolyte penetration into the *** different NCHW structures were ascribed to the pivotal role of the solvent in the urea hydrolysis;the solvent triggered the formation of hydroxides during the hydrothermal *** electrochemical performance of the NCHW electrodes was investigated via galvanostatic charge/discha rge tests,cyclic voltammetry,and electrochemical impedance *** highest specific capacitance was 1694.7 m F/cm^2 at 2 mA/cm^2,with excellent capacitance retention of 81.5% after 5000 *** superior electrochemical performance of the NCHW electrodes is attributed to the large number of active sites and facile electrolyte diffusion into the structure,due to the well-organized structure with an optimized density of nanowires and large voids between the wires.
