To investigate the surface damage of a material by He ions,a dispersion-strengthened W-1wt%TiC alloy was irradiated by 5-keV He ions at 773 K,973 K,and 1173 K up to an ion dose of 1.8×10^(21)He m−2,*** He bubble formation was observed under transmission electron microscopy at any temperature for He doses less than 1.5×10^(20)He m^(−2).When this dose was exceeded,He bubbles grew and void swelling increased with increasing irradiation ***,the growth of He bubbles and the void swelling became more pronounced with increasing irradiation *** to the published data on commercially available pure W,the formation of He bubbles was suppressed by TiC particles in the W-TiC alloy,especially at low doses.

In the present study, a great effort was made to improve the performance of an industrial liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) and natural gas liquid(NGL) production unit in one of the major gas refinery located at Pars special economic zone in Iran. To demonstrate and obtain the optimal condition, the unit was simulated by using a steady-state flowsheet simulator, i.e. Aspen Plus, under different operational conditions. According to the simulation results,the unit was not operational under its optimal conditions due to some defects in the cooling system at top stage of the debutanizer tower(DBT) during hot and humid seasons. Additionally, the vapor pressure of produced LPG and accordingly the amount of its flaring were decreased by reducing the temperature of debutanizer tower at top stages. In the optimization section, the DBT condenser and reboiler heat duty, temperature, and pressure were regulated as adjustable parameters. The simulation results demonstrated that by applying the optimum suggestion in the hot months, the reflux stream temperature was reached about 55 ℃ which caused an efficient increment in LPG production(about 4%) with adjusting the propane component in LPG, based on the standard range as the plant criteria. moreover, after applying modifications, about 750 t of LPG product was saved from flaring during five hot months of the year, which resulted in 360000 USD extra annual income for the ***, from environmental point of view, this optimization caused to reduce 81 t of CO_2 emission to the environment. Therefore, the current investigation must be introduced as a friendly environmentally process.

Three species, Bathynomus decemspinosus, B. doederleini and B. kensleyi （Crustacea, Isopoda, Cirolanidae）, are reported for the first time from the Parangipettai coastal waters, Southeast coast of India. Several Trilasmis （Temnaspis） tridens （Cirripedia Thoracica, Lepadomorpha） were attached to the pleopods of some individuals. So, five bathynomid species are currently reported from India.

In this study, aluminum alloy （Al-2 wt% Cu） matrix composites reinforced with I, 2 and 4 wt% boron carbide nanoparticles fabricated through mechanical milling with average size of 100 nm were fabricated via stir casting method at 850℃. Cast ingots of the matrix alloy and the composites were extruded at 500℃ at an extrusion ratio of 10：1 to investigate the effects of hot extrusion on the mechanical properties of the composites. The microstructures of the as-cast and the extruded composites were investigated by scanning electron microscopy （SEm）. Density measurement, hardness and tensile tests were carried out to identify the mechanical properties of the composites. The extruded samples revealed a more uniform distribution of B4C nanoparticles. Also, the extruded samples had strength and ductility values superior to those of the as-cast counterparts. In the as-cast and the extruded samples, with increasing amount of B4C nanoparticles, yield strength and tensile strength increased but e^ongation to fracture decreased.

In this study,AA 1050 aluminum alloy and commercially pure copper in annealed and severely plastic deformed conditions were *** technique used for imposing the severe strain to the sheets was constrained groove pressing（CGP） *** annealed and severely plastic deformed sheets were subjected to friction stir welding（FSW） at different rotation and traverse *** was placed in advancing *** offset of approximately 1 mm was used toward Al side for all welds.A range of welding parameters which can lead to acceptable welds with appropriate mechanical properties was *** the FSWed CGPed samples,it was observed that the welding heat input caused grain growth and decrease in hardness value at Al side of the stir *** was found that,generally the weakest parts of weld joints of annealed and CGPed samples were Al base metal and stir zone,*** investigations showed that several forms of intermetallic compounds were produced.

Real-time hybrid simulation is an attractive method to evaluate the response of structures under earthquake loads. The method is a variation of the pseudodynamic testing technique in which the experiment is executed in real time, thus allowing investigation of structural systems with rate-dependent components. Real-time hybrid simulation is challenging because it requires performance of all calculations, application of displacements, and acquisition of measured forces, within a very small increment of time. Furthermore, unless appropriate compensation for actuator dynamics is implemented, stability problems are likely to occur during the experiment. This paper presents an approach for real-time hybrid simulation in which compensation for actuator dynamics is implemented using a model-based feedforward compensator. The method is used to evaluate the response of a semi-active control of a structure employing an mR damper. Experimental results show good agreement with the predicted responses, demonstrating the effectiveness of the method for structural control performance assessment.

In this work,we adapt and compare implicity linear collocation method and iterated implicity linear collocation method for solving nonlinear two dimensional Fredholm integral equations of Hammerstein type using ImQ-RBFs on a non-rectangular *** show to be the most promising RBFs for this kind of *** proposed methods are mesh-free and they are independent of the geometry of *** analysis of the proposed methods together with some benchmark examples are provided which support their reliability and numerical stability.

Natural contamination of drinking water with arsenic results in the exposure of millions of people world-wide to unacceptable levels of this metalloid. This is a serious global health problem because arsenic is a Group 1（proven） human carcinogen and chronic exposure is known to cause skin, lung, and bladder tumors. Furthermore, arsenic exposure can result in a myriad of other adverse health effects including diseases of the cardiovascular,respiratory, neurological, reproductive, and endocrine systems. In addition to chronic environmental exposure to arsenic, arsenic trioxide is approved for the clinical treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia, and is in clinical trials for other hematological malignancies as well as solid tumors. Considerable inter-individual variability in susceptibility to arsenic-induced disease and toxicity exists, and the reasons for such differences are incompletely understood. Transport pathways that influence the cellular uptake and export of arsenic contribute to regulating its cellular, tissue, and ultimately body levels. In the current review, membrane proteins（including phosphate transporters, aquaglyceroporin channels, solute carrier proteins, and ATP-binding cassette transporters） shown experimentally to contribute to the passage of inorganic, methylated, and/or glutathionylated arsenic species across cellular membranes are discussed. Furthermore, what is known about arsenic transporters in organs involved in absorption, distribution, and metabolism and how transport pathways contribute to arsenic elimination are described.
