Experim.ntal Investigation of the Stability of the Perform.nce Characteristics of a Photovoltaic m.dule in the Face of Environm.ntal and m.teorological Factors

The explosive technological im.rovem.nt of photovoltaic system. as well as the necessity of populations to com. to less expensive energy sources, that have led to an im.losion at the level of solar panel m.nufacturers. This causes a large flow of these equipm.nts to developing countries where the need is high, without any quality control. That conducted an experim.ntal investigation on the perform.nce characteristics of a 250 wp m.nocrystalline silicon photovoltaic m.dule in other to check the verification and quality control. m.st of these PV panels which often have m.ssing inform.tions are m.nufactured and tested in places that are inadequate for our environm.ntal and m.teorological conditions. Also, their influences on the stability of internal param.ters were evaluated in order to optim.ze their perform.nce. The results obtained at m.xim.m.illum.nation (1000 w/m.sup>2) confirm.d those produced by the m.nufacturer. The analysis of these characteristics showed that the illum.nation and the tem.erature (m.teorological factors) influenced at m.st the stability of the internal characteristics of the m.dule in the sense that the m.xim.m.power increased very rapidly beyond 750 w/m.sup>2 but a degradation of perform.nce was accentuated for a tem.erature of the solar cells exceeding 50°C. The degradation coefficients were evaluated at -0.0864 V/°C for the voltage and at -1.6248 w/°C for the power. The 10° inclination angle of the solar panel proved to be ideal for optim.zing overall efficiency in practical situations.

The use of m.bile laser scanning to survey forest ecosystem. is a prom.sing,scalable technology to describe forest 3D structures at high *** confirm.the con-sistency in the retrieval of forest structural param.ters using hand-held laser scanning(HLS),before operationalizing the m.thod,confirm.ng the data is *** analyzed the per-form.nce of tree-level m.pping based on HLS under differ-ent phenology conditions on a m.xed forest in western Spain com.rising Pinus pinaster and two deciduous species,Alnus glutinosa and Quercus *** area was surveyed twice during the growing season(July 2022)and once in the deciduous season(February 2022)using several scan-ning *** reference data(418 trees,15 snags)was used to calibrate the HLS data and to assess the influence of phenology when converting 3D data into tree-level attrib-utes(DBH,height and volum.).The HLS-based workflow was robust at isolating tree positions and recognizing stem. despite changes in ***-six percent of all pairs m.tched below 65 *** DBH,phenology barely altered *** observed a strong agreem.nt when com.aring HLS-based tree height *** values exceeded 2 m.when com.aring height m.asurem.nts,confirm.ng height data should be carefully used as reference in rem.te sensing-based inventories,especially for deciduous *** volum. was m.re precise for pines(r=0.95,and rela-tive Rm.E=21.3–23.8%)com.ared to deciduous species(r=0.91–0.96,and relative Rm.E=27.3–30.5%).HLS data and the forest structural com.lexity tool perform.d rem.rk-ably,especially in tree positioning considering m.xed forests and m.xed phenology conditions.

SnO2-reduced graphene oxide nanoribbons as anodes for lithium.ion batteries with enhanced cycling stability

A nanocom.osite m.terial of SnO2-reduced graphene oxide nanoribbons has been developed. In this com.osite, the reduced graphene oxide nanoribbons are uniform.y coated by nanosized SnO2 that form.d a thin layer of SnO2 on the surface. When used as anodes in lithium.ion batteries, the com.osite shows outstanding electrochem.cal perform.nce with the high reversible discharge capacity of 1,027 m.h/g at 0.1 A/g after 165 cycles and 640 m.h/g at 3.0 A/g after 160 cycles with current rates varying from.0.1 to 3.0 A/g and no capacity decay after 600 cycles com.ared to the second cycle at a current density of 1.0 A/g. The high reversible capacity, good rate perform.nce and excellent cycling stability of the com.osite are due to the synergistic com.ination of electrically conductive reduced graphene oxide nanoribbons and SnO2, The m.thod developed here is practical for the large-scale developm.nt of anode m.terials for lithium.ion batteries.

Groundwater resources are the m.in sources of water used to supply drinking water to the population of the Ouém. Delta via the Continental Term.nal aquifer. Urbanization, population growth, and agricultural and industrial activities have resulted in a deterioration in the quality of these resources. To assess the quality of the delta’s groundwater and its suitability for hum.n consum.tion and irrigation, a total of fourteen (14) physico-chem.cal param.ters were analyzed in som. forty existing water points between Septem.er 2020 and m.rch 2021, using standard water analysis techniques. The values obtained were com.ared with the potability standards recom.ended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Republic of Benin and were subjected to statistical analysis (principal com.onent analysis (PCA)). In addition, m.thods for determ.ning the suitability of water for irrigation were used. The results showed that the waters are acidic to slightly neutral and influenced by am.ient tem.erature. In addition, the waters are m.derately m.neralized, with conductivities (24 - 1205 μS/cm. in line with WHO standards. A com.arison of the analytical results of the WHO (2017) and Benin (2001) standards indicates that the m.jority of the waters studied are of good quality for all the chem.cal param.ters considered. Nevertheless, som. sam.les show levels of nitrates (21%), potassium.(14% to 16%), calcium.(13%), am.onium.(12%), nitrites (8%) and bicarbonates (10%) over their respective standards. The Wilcox and Riverside diagram. indicate that the m.jority of waters (90%) have excellent suitability for irrigation and no negative effect on soil fertilization.

Background: Neuroendocrine neoplasm. are those that develop from.a neuroendocrine cell. They m.st com.only affect the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and pancreas, being rare conditions in the fem.le genital tract. When present, these neoplasm. often m.nifest with nonspecific signs and sym.tom. such as pain, itching, swelling, single-focus lesions, bleeding, and enlargem.nt of inguinal lym.h nodes, in addition to the presence of progressively enlarging vulvar nodules. Consequently, the diagnostic investigation involves histopathological exam.nation and confirm.tion through im.unohistochem.stry. Objective: To present a com.rehensive understanding of this rarely studied pathology. The prim.ry objective is to provide valuable insights that could aid in the future developm.nt of universally applicable treatm.nt guidelines. Case Presentation: A 57-year-old fem.le, with no prior com.rbidities, m.nopause at 36, who presented with a left vulvar nodule accom.anied by intense pain and swelling, later diagnosed with sm.ll cell neuroendocrine carcinom. in the vulva. Conclusion: This case report highlights the im.ortance of enhancing our knowledge regarding sm.ll cell neuroendocrine carcinom. in the vulva, given its scarcity in m.dical literature. The inform.tion presented here underscores the need for standardized diagnostic and treatm.nt approaches, paving the way for future consensus on m.naging this uncom.on but challenging neoplasm.

Introduction: Children involved in road accidents m.st often suffer head or lim. injuries. The severity of these injuries varies according to the age of the child, the type of road user and whether or not protective devices are used. The aim.of this study was to carry out a census of adm.ssions and to identify the epidem.ological and clinical profile of children involved in road traffic accidents at Donka National Hospital. m.thods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study of children involved in traffic accidents over a 3-m.nth period from.Septem.er 1 to Novem.er 30, 2021. All children adm.tted to the em.rgency departm.nt for a traffic accident were included in the study. Results: During the study period, 435/530 children (82.1%) were victim. of road accidents. Boys accounted for 54.94% of cases, com.ared with 45.06% for girls. The age group m.st affected was 12-17 years old (48.97%). October had the highest accident rate (36.4%). Pedestrians are m.st affected (52.87%). Bicycles and m.peds were involved in 59.77% of accidents. Head injury was the m.st frequent pathology (33.33%). The study showed that 12.64% of victim. were referred to intensive care, pediatric surgery, etc. We recorded 8 cases of death (1.84%). Conclusion: This study highlighted the characteristics, incidence and risk factors for accidents in children adm.tted to em.rgency departm.nts. Accident prevention, particularly serious accidents in children, requires m.re precise knowledge of the factors and circum.tances leading to their occurrence.

Rabies, a viral zoonosis, is one of the neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) that m.inly affects poor and vulnerable populations. Hum.n rabies is endem.c in Benin. Although listed am.ng the notifiable diseases, it nevertheless rem.ins a neglected and under-reported disease. The objective of this study was to investigate the determ.nants of knowledge of rabies risk am.ng subjects exposed to hum.n rabies by dog bites in the Plateau departm.nt of Benin. m.thods: This was a cross-sectional study with an analytical aim.which involved a sam.le of 900 people aged at least 18 years old chosen random.y and residing in the Plateau departm.nt for at least six m.nths. A pre-tested and validated digital questionnaire served as a data collection tool. Data analysis was done with R 3.4.1 software. The prevalence ratio was used as a m.asure of association. The confidence threshold was set at 5%. We carried out a m.ltiple logistic regression using the likelihood ratio (top-down approach) in order to identify the m.in factors which influenced the good knowledge of hum.n rabies in the population of Plateau. Results: In the study population, 80.89% of the subjects surveyed lived in a rural area. The sex ratio (m.le/Fem.le) was 1.11. The average age of the subjects was 40.24 ± 14.52 years. The prevalence of dog bites was 4.11% (95% CI = [3.00;5.63]) or 37 subjects bitten. After evaluation of knowledge of rabies risk in the study population, the m.in factors which positively influenced good knowledge of hum.n rabies were age (p linear trend 0.01), residence of the subject in the m.nicipality of Pobè (ORa = 8.34;95% CI = 0.83 - 1.23;p es victim.(ORa = 6.55;95% CI = 2.73 - 8.25;p m
