Long-term rotational stability and visual outcomes of a single-piece hydrophilic acrylic toric IOL:a 1.5-year follow-up

AIM：To evaluate the rotational stability and visual outcomes of a single-piece hydrophilic acrylic toric intraocular lenses（IOL） over a 1.5-year follow-up *** from the 6-month follow-up study have been previously ***：forty eyes of 26 cataract patients（mean age：72.8±7.9y） with pre-existing corneal astigmatism of 1.0 to 2.6 D were enrolled in the *** axial length was 23.17±0.88 *** outcome measures after implantation of the Torica-a A IOL（Human Optics） were IOL rotational stability,subjective refraction,astigmatism correction,uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuity（UDVA,CDVA）.RESULTS：There was no significant change in the parameters evaluated between the 6-month and 1.5-year *** last visit,mean absolute IOL rotation（objective method） was 1.81°±1.87°（range 0.00° to 7.20°） with 78.6% of eyes having IOL rotation 〈3°,92.9% of eyes 〈5° and 100% of eyes 〈8°.No patient required secondary IOL repositioning during the course of the *** residual refractive cylinder was-0.60±0.40 *** was a significant reduction in the magnitude of the j0 vector postoperatively（P〈0.0001） with a mean absolute change of 0.76±0.40 *** mean j45 vector was close to zero preoperatively and postoperatively and didn＇t change significantly（P=0.28）.Mean monocular UDVA and CDVA was 0.09±0.12 log MAR and-0.01±0.12 log MAR,*** treatment with Nd：YAG laser was ***：The Torica-a A IOL shows good and stable visual performance and rotational stability over a 1.5-year follow-up period.

Selective Association between Cephalosporin, Quinolone, Macrolide, and Penicillin Antibiotic Consumption and Childhood Obesity in Europe

The accelerated weight gain in productive animals as a result of feeding antibiotic enriched fodder has been well known for decades. The better energy harvest is the result of modified gut microbiota as a consequence of applied antibiotics. Similar mechanisms might result obesity in humans as well. Objectives: finding associations between global antibiotic consumption of different classes in EU countries and obesity data in adults and children prove that antibiotics might play a significant role in the development of obesity “epidemics” and related illnesses. Methods: Antibiotic consumption data were compared with obesity figures in adults and children in European countries and statistically analyzed for significance. Results: Significant correlation was found between the average yearly consumption of cephalosporins (p = 0.007), quinolones (p = 0.031), macrolides (p = 0.000083) and childhood obesity data, but no significant association was observed with the average penicillin consumption. No association was observed between adult obesity and any of the antibiotic classes studied. Conclusions: Our results support the hypothesis that different types of antibiotics might influence the development of obesity among children, and this finding can serve as a unified explanation for the development of obesity “epidemics”, similarly to the obesity and gut flora alteration-related diseases (type 2 diabetes mellitus, autism, etc.).

Influence of free Indoor football Play （fISP） on the Circulatory System, among Overweight Young Adult Male

for middle age individuals （male）, it may be difficult to find motivation for suitable exercise training, which has similarly favorable characteristics for cardiovascular adaptations as other exercises performed by younger individuals. fifty four （n = 54）; （age = 41.57±3.25） untrained, overweight （f% = 19.52 ± 5.6）, range of （12.6-30.6）, （visceral fat area （VfA） = 111.1 cm^-2） healthy male （they are managers in four different Banks） were taking part in this research program. The participants took part on preliminary cardiac examination （echocardiography, GE Vivid 9 ultrasound machine. Body composition measured with type of ＂InBody720＂（Biospace Co. Inc., Seoul, South Korea） Bioelectrical Impedance Analyzer （BIA）. The heart rate of the participants was measured continuously during all training sessions using heart rate belts （POLAR Team System, finland）. Pulmonary gas exchange ＂Cardiosoft＂, （Milwaukee, USA were measured during a standardized treadmill test. Results： In many cases of the free indoor soccer play （fISP） recorded extremely high pulse rate, which is compared with the laboratory high pulse rate （LHPR）, much higher than the recommended physiological load level HR（fISP）〉 190 beat/min; HR（LHPR） = 175 beat/min ; P 〈 0.001. Despite the many advantages of the free Indoor football Play （fISP） are hiding a lot of dangerous in the terms of circulatory adaptation.

BACKGROUND The importance of the neuronal microenvironment has been recently highlighted in gut region-specific diabetic enteric neuropathy. Regionally distinct thickening of endothelial basement membrane(BM) of intestinal capillaries supplying the myenteric ganglia coincide with neuronal damage in different intestinal segments. Accelerated synthesis of matrix molecules and reduced degradation of matrix components may also contribute to the imbalance of extracellular matrix dynamics resulting in BM thickening. Among the matrix degrading proteinases, matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9) and its tissue inhibitor(TIMP1) are essential in regulating extracellular matrix *** To evaluate the intestinal segment-specific effects of diabetes and insulin replacement on ganglionic BM thickness, MMP9 and TIMP1 *** Ten weeks after the onset of hyperglycaemia gut segments were taken from the duodenum and ileum of streptozotocin-induced diabetic, insulin-treated diabetic and sex-and age-matched control rats. The thickness of BM surrounding myenteric ganglia was measured by electron microscopic morphometry. Wholemount preparations of myenteric plexus were prepared from the different gut regions for MMP9/TIMP1 double-labelling fluorescent immunohistochemistry. Post-embedding immunogold electron microscopy was applied on ultrathin sections to evaluate the MMP9 and TIMP1 expression in myenteric ganglia and their microenvironment from different gut segments and conditions. The MMP9 and TIMP1 messenger ribonucleic acid(m RNA) level was measured by quantitative polymerase chain *** Ten weeks after the onset of hyperglycaemia, the ganglionic BM was significantly thickened in the diabetic ileum, while it remained intact in the duodenum. Does Surgery Benefit Postmenopausal Overweight Women with Pelvic floor Dysfunction?

Introduction: Pelvic floor muscle function of 30 overweight postmenopausal women prior to and after colporrhahpy was monitored in this study. Material and Methods: Patients diagnosed with cystokele or combined cystorectokele was involved. 1 mg oral estriol and local estriol cream were administered for 30 days preoperatively. Pelvic floor muscle function was monitored by surface electromyography 1 month before (1st) 1 day prior to surgery (2nd), and six weeks after the surgery (3rd measurement). Body composition parameters (intra- and extracellular water and body fat) were also measured. Results: The ability to relax significantly improved (p = 0.03) in the preoperative period (between 1st and 2nd occasions). Six weeks after surgery a non-significant (p = 0.054) decrease in average muscle activity was detected when compared with values obtained before the surgery. Muscle-activity declined significantly from the first to the last measurements (p = 0.005). Conclusion: Our results confirm that postmenopausal obese women who undergo anterior or posterior colporrhaphy need a follow-up concerning pelvic floor muscle function and suggest that physiotherapy started the earliest possible may aid in preserving postoperative functionality on the long run.

Comparison of Economically favourable and further Development friendly DNA Isolation Methods from Microbial Cultures

Microorganisms, regardless of whether pathogenic or not, may cause enormous economic losses due to adverse effects on human and animal health, or by damaging the quality of the agricultural and food products. Based on these effects, the development of prompt molecular methods and their involvement in the practical pathogen diagnostic diagnostics is more than actual. This paper is focused on the evaluation of easy-to-perform and highly budget-friendly, PCR-related DNA purification protocols for diagnostic purposes especially in water or similar simple matrices. The slight modifications of earlier described DNA isolation methods, which rely on chelate exchange resin and/or ethanol-sodium-based heat lysis, we reevaluated in comparison with a widely used commercial kit. The efficiency of DNA purification techniques was assessed from Gramnegative as well as Gram-positive bacteria and yeast using quantitative PCR. The effectivity of different methods tested may vary depending on the bacterial or yeast species in question. Nevertheless, in our hands, the chelate exchange resin-based methods were found to be the most robust and/or satisfying at least by an acceptable reproducibility rate. Our presented results support the potential of low-cost but still sensitive molecular microbe detection procedures consisting of only a few pipetting steps resulting in good reproducibility and the least possible environmental burden, serving as a good starting point for developments of matrix-specific processes and methods.
