Platelets are small, versatile blood cells that are critical for hemostasis/thrombosis. Local platelet accumulation is a known contributor to proinflammation in various disease states. However, the anti-inflammatory/immunosuppressive potential of platelets has been poorly explored. Here, we uncovered, unexpectedly, desialylated platelets (dPLTs) down-regulated immune responses against both platelet-associated and -independent antigen challenges. Utilizing multispectral photoacoustic tomography, we tracked dPLT trafficking to gut vasculature and an exclusive Kupffer cell-mediated dPLT clearance in the liver, a process that we identified to be synergistically dependent on platelet glycoprotein Ibα and hepatic Ashwell–Morell receptor. Mechanistically, Kupffer cell clearance of dPLT potentiated a systemic immunosuppressive state with increased anti-inflammatory cytokines and circulating CD4+ regulatory T cells, abolishable by Kupffer cell depletion. Last, in a clinically relevant model of hemophilia A, presensitization with dPLT attenuated anti-factor VIII antibody production after factor VIII ( infusion. As platelet desialylation commonly occurs in daily-aged and activated platelets, these findings open new avenues toward understanding immune homeostasis and potentiate the therapeutic potential of dPLT and engineered dPLT transfusions in controlling autoimmune and alloimmune diseases.

To address the problem of real-time processing of ultra-wide bandwidth pulsar baseband data,we designed and implemented a pulsar baseband data processing algorithm(PSRDP)based on GPU parallel computing *** can perform operations such as baseband data unpacking,channel separation,coherent dedispersion,Stokes detection,phase and folding period prediction,and folding integration in GPU *** tested the algorithm using the j0437-4715 pulsar baseband data generated by the CASPSR and Medusa backends of the Parkes,and the j0332+5434 pulsar baseband data generated by the self-developed backend of the Nan Shan Radio *** obtained the pulse profiles of each baseband *** experimental analysis,we have found that the pulse profiles generated by the PSRDP algorithm in this paper are essentially consistent with the processing results of Digital Signal Processing Software for Pulsar Astronomy(DSPSR),which verified the effectiveness of the PSRDP ***,using the same baseband data,we compared the processing speed of PSRDP with DSPSR,and the results showed that PSRDP was not slower than DSPSR in terms of *** theoretical and technical experience gained from the PSRDP algorithm research in this article lays a technical foundation for the real-time processing of QTT(Qi Tai radio Telescope)ultra-wide bandwidth pulsar baseband data.

Magnetic skyrmions emerge when the energy of ferromagnetic exchange interaction promoting parallel alignment of spins enters in competition with energies favoring non-collinear alignment of spins such as Dzy aloshinskii-Moriya interaction(DMI),long-rang dipole-dipole interaction(DDI),or higher-order exchange *** perform an unbiased Monte Carlo simulation to study the DMI-based skyrmion nucleation and stabilization on the surface of magnetic nanotubular monolayer controlled by tuning constants of DDI(g) and next-nearest-neighbor antiferromagnetic exchange interaction(j') with appropriate *** g and j',the loosely distributed skyrmions initially nucleate on the surface of nanotube approaching to the magnetic field(h) direction with increasing h in the intermediate ***,the skyrmion size,shape,density,distribution and crystal structure,as well as its driven field range,are tailored by g and j'.This work demonstrates the skyrmion nucleation mechanisms in three-dimensional magnetic nanostructures with curvature effect and multiple interactions,serving as a benchmark for a guide to experimentalists for preparation of samples in magnetic skyrmion states.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence poses an urgent need for low-energy-consumption and small-sized artificial photonic ***,it is pretty novel to demonstrate a light-stimulated synaptic device based on a single(Al,Ga)N nanowire *** to the presence of vacancy defects in the single nanowire,the artificial synaptic device can simulate multiple functions of biological synapses under stimulation of both 310 and 365 nm light photons,including paired-pulse facilitation,spike timing dependent plasticity,and memory learning *** energy consumption of artificial synaptic device can be reduced as little as 5.58×10^(-13) j,which is close to that of the biological synapse in human ***,the synaptic device is demonstrated to have the high stability for both long-time stimulation and long-time *** on the experimental conductance of long-term potentiation and long-term depression,the simulated three-layer neural network can achieve a high recognition rate of 92%after only 10 training *** a brain-like behavior,the single-nanowire-based synaptic devices can promote the development of visual neuromorphic computing technology and artificial intelligence systems requiring ultralow energy consumption.

we study the hadronic decays of ∧c+ to the final states ∑+η and ∑+η’,using an e+e-annihilation data sample of 567 pb-1 taken at a center-of-mass energy of 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCⅡ *** find evidence for the decays ∧c+→∑+η and ∑+η’ with statistical significance of 2.5σ and 3.2σ,*** to the reference decays ∧c+→∑+π0 and ∑+ω,we obtain the ratios of the branching fractions■and ■to be 0.35±0.16±0.02 and 0.86±0.34±0.04,*** upper limits at the 90% confidence level are set to be■and■.Using BESIII measurements of the branching fractions of the reference decays,we determine B（∧c+→∑+η）=（0.41±0.19±0.05）%（with the previous measurement,and the branching fraction of ∧c+→∑+η’ is measured for the first time.

Traditional centralized Proportional Integral(PI)controller design methods based on Equivalent Transfer Functions(ETFs)have poor decoupling effect in turboprop *** this paper,a centralized PI design method based on dynamic imaginary matrix and equivalent transfer function is ***,a method for solving equivalent transfer functions based on the dynamic imaginary matrix is proposed,which adopts dynamic imaginary matrix to describe the dynamic characteristics of the system,and obtains the equivalent transfer function based on the dynamic imaginary matrix ***,for the equivalent transfer function,a central-ized PI control gain is designed using the Taylor expansion ***,this paper further proves that the centralized PI design method proposed in this paper has integral ***-ering the impact of altitude and Mach number on turboprop engines,a linear feedforward control method based on the transfer function matrix is further proposed based on the centralized PI con-troller,and the stability of the entire comprehensive control method is ***,to ensure the safe and effective operation of the turboprop engine,a temperature and torque limiting protection controller is designed for the turboprop *** results show that the centralized PI con-troller design method and linear feedforward control method proposed can effectively improve the control quality of turboprop engine control systems.

Evaluation and Projection of Extreme High Temperature Indices in Southwestern China Using NEX-GDDP-CMIP6

Based on the recently released NASA Earth Exchange Global Daily Downscaled Projections(NEX-GDDP)Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6) dataset and the gridded observational daily dataset CN05.1, this study evaluates the performance of 26 CMIP6 models in simulating extreme high temperature(EHT) indices in southwestern China and estimates future changes in the EHT indices under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways(SSPs) SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, and SSP5-8.5 using 11 optimal CMIP6 models. Five EHT indices are employed:annual maximum value of daily maximum temperature(TXX), high temperature days(T35), warm days(TX90P),heat wave frequency(HwF), and heat wave days(HwD). The main results are as follows.(1) NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 is highly capable of simulating the spatial patterns of TXX and T35 in southwestern China but it presents a weaker ability to simulate the spatial patterns of TX90P, HwF, and HwD.(2) The simulated time series of T35, TX90P, HwF,and HwD in southwestern China exhibit consistent upward trends with the observations. The linear trends of increase in TX90P and HwD are much greater than those of increase in TXX, T35, and HwF.(3) The estimated increases in TXX and T35 in southwestern China are significantly greater in Chongqing and the adjacent areas of Sichuan than in the other regions. Spatial distributions of the increases in TX90P, HwF, and HwD generally show higher values in the west and lower values in the east.(4) In the three different scenarios, the projected future TXX,T35, TX90P, and HwD in southwestern China all display a continuous increase with time and radiative forcing levels, whereas HwF initially increases but then decreases under the SSP5-8.5 scenario. By the end of the 21st century, under the SSP5-8.5 scenario, TXX and T35 are projected to increase by 6.0℃ and 45.0 days, respectively. The duration of individual heat waves is also expected to increase.

Taxonomic dependency and spatial heterogeneity in assembly mechanisms of bacteria across complex coastal waters

Background Understanding community assembly mechanisms across taxa and space is fundamental for microbial ecology. However, the variability and determinants of assembly processes over taxa and space remain unclear. Here, we investigated taxonomic dependency and spatial heterogeneity in bacterial assembly mechanisms across coastal waters in the East China Sea using neutral and null models with customized visualization *** Overall, bacterial assembly mechanisms varied across broad taxonomic groups(phyla and proteobacterial classes) and space at the regional scale. A determinism–stochasticity balanced mechanism governed total bacterial assembly, while taxonomic dependency existed in assembly mechanisms and ecological processes. Among community ecological features, niche breadth and negative-to-positive cohesion ratio were strongly associated with the determinism-to-stochasticity ratio of bacterial groups. Bacterial assembly mechanisms commonly exhibited spatial heterogeneity, the extent and determinants of which varied across taxonomic groups. Spatial assembly of total bacteria was directly driven by many environmental factors and potential interactions between taxa, but not directly by geographic factors. Overall, the bacterial groups with higher spatial heterogeneity in assembly mechanisms were more related to environmental and/or geographic factors(except Bacteroidetes), while those with lower heterogeneity were more related to ecological *** Our results confirm the pervasiveness of taxonomic dependency and spatial heterogeneity in bacterial assembly, providing a finer understanding about regulation across complex coastal waters.
