Hierarchical Control Strategy for Load Regulation Based on Stackelberg Game Theory Considering Randomness

Demand response has been recognized as a valuable functionality of power systems for mitigating power *** paper proposes a hierarchical control strategy among the distribution system operator(DSO),load aggregators(LAs),and thermostatically controlled loads(TCLs);the strategy includes a scheduling layer and an executive layer to provide load *** the scheduling layer,the DSO(leader)offers compensation price(CP)strategies,and the LAs(followers)respond to CP strategies with available regulation power(ARP)*** of the DSO and LAs are modeled according to their behaviors during the load regulation *** game is adopted to capture interactions among the players and leader and to obtain the optimal strategy for each participant to achieve ***,considering inevitable random factors in practice,e.g.,renewable generation and behavior of users,two different stochastic models based on sample average approximation(SAA)and parameter modification are formulated with improved scheduling *** the executive layer,distributed TCLs are triggered based on strategies determined in the scheduling layer.A self-triggering method that does not violate user privacy is presented,where TCLs receive external signals from the LA and independently determine whether to alter their operation *** simulations are performed on the modified IEEE-24 bus system to verify effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

To explore highly active and thermomechanical stable air electrodes for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells(ITSOFCs),10mol%Ta5+doped in the B site of strontium ferrite perovskite oxide(SrTa_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)O_(3-δ),STF)is investigated and *** effects of Ta^(5+)doping on structure,transition metal reduction,oxygen nonstoichiometry,thermal expansion,and electrical performance are evaluated *** 10mol%Ta^(5+)doping,the thermal expansion coefficient(TEC)decreased from 34.1×10^(-6)(SrFeO_(3-δ))to 14.6×10^(-6) K^(-1)(STF),which is near the TEC of electrolyte(13.3×10^(-6) K^(-1) for Sm_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)O_(1.9),SDC),indicates excellent thermomechanical *** 550-750℃,STF shows superior oxygen vacancy concentrations(0.262 to 0.331),which is critical in the oxygen-reduction reaction(ORR).Oxygen temperature-programmed desorption(O_(2)-TPD)indicated the thermal reduction onset temperature of iron ion is around 420℃,which matched well with the inflection points on the thermos-gravimetric analysis and electrical conductivity *** 600℃,the STF electrode shows area-specific resistance(ASR)of 0.152Ω·cm^(2) and peak power density(PPD)of 749 mW·cm^(-2).ORR activity of STF was further improved by introducing 30wt%Sm_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)O_(1.9)(SDC)powder,STF+SDC composite cathode achieving outstanding ASR value of 0.115Ω·cm2 at 600℃,even comparable with benchmark cobalt-containing cathode,Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(BSCF).Distribution of relaxation time(DRT)analysis revealed that the oxygen surface exchange and bulk diffusion were improved by forming a composite *** 650℃,STF+SDC composite cathode achieving an outstanding PPD of 1117 mW·cm^(-2).The excellent results suggest that STF and STF+SDC are promising air electrodes for IT-SOFCs.

HTDcr:a job execution framework for high-throughput computing on supercomputers

High-throughput computing(HTC) is a computing paradigm that aims to accomplish jobs by easily breaking them into smaller,independent ***,it requires a large amount of computing power for a long *** existing HTC frameworks are job-oriented without support for coscheduling with hardware architecture and task-level ***,most of the frameworks reach a limited scale,and their usability needs further ***,we present HTDcr,a job execution framework for the HTC on *** study aims to improve the throughput,task dispatching,and usability of the *** detail,the throughput optimizations include a sophisticated designed task management system,a hierarchical scheduler,and the co-optimization of the task-scheduling strategy with the application and hardware *** optimizations for usability include a programable execution workflow,mechanisms for more robust and reliable service qualities,and a fine-grained resource allocation system for the colocation of multiple *** to our evaluations,HTDcr can achieve outstanding scalability and high throughput on large-scale clusters for the HTC *** evaluate HTDcr with several microbenchmarks and real-world applications on Tianhe-2 and Sunway TaihuLight to demonstrate its effects on existing design *** instance,the task scheduling for two real-world applications integrated with the application and hardware characteristics achieves 1.7× and 1.9× speedups over the basic task-scheduling strategy.

Multifunctional phase change film with high recyclability, adjustable thermal responsiveness, and intrinsic self-healing ability for thermal energy storage

Phase change materials(PCMs) present promising potential for guaranteeing safety in thermal management ***,most reported PCMs have a single application in energy storage for thermal management systems,which does not meet the growing demand for multi-functional *** this paper,the flexible material and hydrogen-bonding function are innovatively combined to design and prepare a novel multi-functional flexible phase change film(PPL).The 0.2PPL-2 film exhibits solid-solid phase change behavior with energy storage density of 131.8 j/g at the transition temperature of42.1℃,thermal cycling stability(500 cycles),wide-temperature range flexibility(0-60℃) and selfhealing ***,the PPL film can be recycled up to 98.5% by intrinsic ***,the PPL film can be tailored to the desired colors and configurations and can be cleverly assembled on several thermal management systems at ambient temperature through its flexibility combined with shape-memory *** interestingly,the transmittance of PPL will be altered when the ambient temperature changes(60℃),conveying a clear thermal ***,the thermal energy storage performance of the PPL film is successfully tested by human thermotherapy and electronic device temperature control *** proposed functional integration strategy provides innovative ideas to design PCMs for multifunctionality,and makes significant contributions in green chemistry,highefficiency thermal management,and energy sustainability.

Global-local combined features to detect pain intensity from facial expression images with attention mechanism

The estimation of pain intensity is critical for medical diagnosis and treatment of *** the development of image monitoring technology and artificial intelligence,automatic pain assessment based on facial expression and behavioral analysis shows a potential value in clinical *** paper reports a framework of convolutional neural network with global and local attention mechanism(GLA-CNN)for the effective detection of pain intensity at four-level thresholds using facial expression ***-CNN includes two modules,namely global attention network(GANet)and local attention network(LANet).LANet is responsible for extracting representative local patch features of faces,while GANet extracts whole facial features to compensate for the ignored correlative features between *** the end,the global correlational and local subtle features are fused for the final estimation of pain *** under the uNBC-McMaster Shoulder Pain database demonstrate that GLA-CNN outperforms other state-of-the-art ***,a visualization analysis is conducted to present the feature map of GLA-CNN,intuitively showing that it can extract not only local pain features but also global correlative facial *** study demonstrates that pain assessment based on facial expression is a non-invasive and feasible method,and can be employed as an auxiliary pain assessment tool in clinical practice.

Effects of hot deformation and in-situ ZrB2 particle on microstructure and tensile performance of AA7085 composite sheets

To provide a new idea to reduce anisotropy for sheets in the thickness direction by microstructure modification and,mean-while,maintain or even enhance tensile performance,the in-situ ZrB2 particle/AA7085 composite sheets with thicknesses of 1,2,3,and 6 mm were *** as-cast grain size was significantly refined by the heterogeneous nucleus of the ZrB2 *** microstructure results show that severe hot deformation converts as-cast disordered microstructure into a sequential microstructure by crushing the remanent phases and matrix into a fiber *** the solid solution and aging heat treatment,the composite sheets exhibit largely recrystallized grains compared with partially recrystallized grains in the matrix sheets,and weak or even free texture exists in the *** grain size in the composite sheets decreases with the increase in thickness *** the thickness range of 1-3 mm,the composite sheets maintain a similar tensile per-formance as that in matrix sheets,while the strength and ductility in the 6-mm-thick composite sheet are improved.

The hard X-ray nanoprobe beamline at the SSRF

The hard X-ray nanoprobe beamline BL13u is a phase-Ⅱ beamline project at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation *** beamline aims to enable comprehensive experiments at high spatial resolutions ranging from 50 to 10 nm. The X-ray energy range of the beamline, 5–25 keV, can detect most elements in the periodic table. Two operating modes were designed to accommodate the experimental requirements of high-energy resolution or high photon flux, respectively. X-ray nanofluorescence, nanodiffraction, and coherent diffraction imaging are developed as the main experimental techniques for BL13u. This paper describes the beamline optics, end station configurations, experimental methods under development, and preliminary test results. This comprehensive overview aims to provide a clear understanding of the beamline capabilities and potential applications.

Determinants of saturation magnetic flux density in Fe-based metallic glasses: insights from machine-learning models

Fe-based metallic glasses have garnered significant attention due to their low coercivity force and core loss. Enhancing the saturation magnetic flux density(Bs) of Fe-based metallic glasses is crucial for their industry applications. This work constructed a dataset comprising330 training data and 157 test data. The support vector regression model surpassed the tree-based ensemble models in the test set and demonstrated comparable accuracy to the tree-based ensemble models in the training set. Additionally, we proposed an indicator for Bsbased on symbolic regression. This newly proposed indicator exhibits a Pearson correlation coefficient exceeding 0.92 with Bs. The present work provides a simple and accurate formula for predicting the Bsof Fe-based amorphous alloys, demonstrating the effectiveness of machine learning approaches in discovering novel soft magnetic materials.

Sedimentary paleoenvironment and its control on organic matter enrichment in the Mesoproterozoic hydrocarbon source rocks in the Ordos Basin, southern margin of the North China Craton

The black shale of the Mesoproterozoic Cuizhuang Formation in the Changcheng System in Yongji city,North China Craton, is a potential source rock. understanding the organic matter enrichment mechanism is crucial for evaluating source rock resources and understanding oil and gas accumulation *** this study, we evaluated the sedimentary paleoenvironment and organic matter enrichment mechanisms of shale using thin section observations, mineral composition analysis, organic geochemistry, and elemental geochemistry. We found significant differences in the sedimentary paleoenvironment and organic matter enrichment mechanisms between the lower Cuizhuang Formation and the Beidajian Formation shale. The Cuizhuang Formation was deposited in a late-stage, restricted basin environment during the rift phase, and elemental and geochemical indicators showed that the Cuizhuang Formation was in a suboxic-anoxic water environment, that was influenced by a warm and humid paleoclimate and submarine hydrothermal activities, which promoted the accumulation of organic matter. However, the enrichment of organic matter in the Cuizhuang Formation was mainly controlled by redox *** formation of suboxic-anoxic water environments may be closely related to the warm and humid paleoclimate and submarine hydrothermal activities. Warm conditions promote continental weathering and increase marine productivity, thereby consuming oxygen in the bottom water. Moreover, acidic hydrothermal activity also helps to establish an anoxic environment. Our results reveal the effects controlling various coupled mechanisms dominated by redox conditions, which may explain the development of source rocks in the Cuizhuang Formation.
