We study the bending of a two-layer piezoelectric semiconductor plate(bimorph).The macroscopic theory of piezoelectric semiconductors is employed.A set of two-dimensional plate equations is derived from the three-dimensional *** plate equations exhibit direct couplings among bending,electric polarization along the plate thickness,and mobile *** the case of pure bending,a combination of physical and geometric parameters is identified which characterizes the strength of the interaction between the mechanical load and the distribution of mobile *** the bending of a rectangular plate under a distributed transverse mechanical load,it is shown that mobile charge distributions and potential barriers/wells develop in the *** the mechanical load is local and self-balanced,the induced carrier distributions and potential barriers/wells are also localized near the loading *** results are fundamentally useful for mechanically manipulating mobile charges in piezoelectric semiconductor devices.

The insensitivity of semiconductors to visible and infrared light is a key constraint on the utilization of light energy in photocatalytic *** photocatalysts with full-spectrum absorption through surface engineering is an effective approach to fully harnessing light energy in semiconductor ***,a novel stable Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene/Cds heterojunction catalyst is obtained by in-situ epitaxial growth of two-dimensional(2D)Cds nanosheets on 2D MXene interface via a solvothermal *** exceptional light absorption properties of MXene confer outstanding full-spectrum driven photocat-alytic hydrogen evolution capability upon the heterogeneous *** unique 2D/2D structure effectively mitigated the recombination of photogenerated carriers,enhancing the photocatalytic performance of the ***,the composite catalyst exhibits a significantly higher surface temperature of 80.4℃under visible light irradiation at an intensity of 0.1 W/cm^(2),which is 1.84 times higher than that of *** irradiation of visible and near infrared light,the composite catalyst with photothermal ef-fect demonstrates a remarkable hydrogen evolution rate of 65.4 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is 7.2 times higher than that of Cds *** study introduces a novel approach for constructing full-spectrum absorption catalysts and expands the application of the photothermal effect in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution research.

The Xugou garnet peridotite body of the southern sulu ultrahigh-pressure(UHP) terrane is enclosed in felsic gneiss,bounded by faults,and consists of harzburgite and lenses of garnet clinopyroxenite and *** peridotite is composed of variable amounts of olivine(Fo,enstatite(En),garnet (AlmPrpKnrGrs),diopside and rare *** ultramafic protolith has a depleted residual mantle composition,indicated by a high-Mg number,very low CaO,AlO and total REE contents compared to primary mantle and other sulu *** garnet(Prp) clinopyroxe-nites are *** for rare kyanite-bearing eclogitic bands,most eclogites contain a simple assemblage of garnet(AlmPrpGrs) + omphacite(jd) + minor *** and eclogite exhibit LREE-depleted and LREE-enriched patterns,respectively,but both have flat HREE *** La,sm and Yb contents indicate that both eclogite and garnet clinopyroxenite formed by high-pressure crystal accumulation(+ variable trapped melt) from melts resulting from two-stage partial melting of a mantle source. Recrystallized textures and P-T estimates of 780-870℃,5-7 GPa and a metamorphic age of 231±11 Ma indicate that both mafic and ultramafic protoliths experienced Triassic UHP metamor-phism in the P-T forbidden zone with an extremely low thermal gradient(stage retrograde recrystallization during *** of prehnite veins in clinopyroxenite,eclogite, felsic blocks and country rock gneiss,and replacements of eclogitic minerals by prehnite,albite,white mica,and K-feldspar indicate low-temperature metasomatism.

The mechanical response of a single crystal titanium sample against(0001)α surface impact was investigated using molecular dynamics ***,non-uniform plastic deformation was observed in the *** high strain rates,amorphization occurred near the edge of the contact region where severe shear strain induced a large number of stacking faults(sFs)and *** contrast,the central part of the contact region underwent less deformation with significantly fewer ***,instead of amorphization by consuming sFs and dislocations,there was a gradual increase in the density of dislocations and sFs during the process of *** local amorphous regions eventually grew into shear bands.

The remarkable capabilities of 2D plasmonic surfaces in controlling optical waves havegarnered significant ***,the challenge of large-scale manufacturing of uniform,well-aligned,and tunable plasmonic surfaces has hindered their *** address this,we present a groundbreaking tunable plasmonic platform design achieved throughmagnetic field(MF)assisted ultrafast laser direct deposition in *** precise control of metal nanoparticles(NPs),with cobalt(Co)serving as the model material,employing an MF,and fine-tuning ultrafast laser parameters,we have effectively converted coarse and non-uniform NPs into densely packed,uniform,and ultrafine NPs(~3 nm).This revolutionary advancement results in the creation of customizable plasmonic‘hot spots,’which play a pivotal role insurface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(sERs)*** profound impact of this designable plasmonic platform lies in its close association with plasmonic resonance and *** the plasmonic nanostructures resonate with incident light,they generate intense local electromagnetic fields,thus vastly increasing the Raman scattering *** enhancement leads to an outstanding 2–18 fold boost in sERs performance and unparalleled sensing sensitivity down to 10^(-10)***,the plasmonic platform also demonstratesrobustness,retaining its sensing capability even after undergoing 50 cycles of rinsing andre-loading of ***,this work adheres to green manufacturing standards,making it an efficient and environmentally friendly method for customizing plasmonic‘hot spots’insERs *** study not only achieves the formation of high-density,uniform,and ultrafine NP arrays on a tunable plasmonic platform but also showcases the profound relation betweenplasmonic resonance and energy *** outstanding results observed in sERs sensors further emphasize the immense potential of this technology for energy-relatedapplications,including photocatalysis,ph

This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random *** method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data *** the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary due to random *** allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output data *** substructuring with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional *** numerical results obtained from a simple structure indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

Background:Prolonged sitting and reduced physical activity lead to low energy ***,little is known about the joint impact of daily sitting time and physical activity on body fat *** investigated the independent and joint associations of daily sitting time and physical activity with body fat among ***:This was a cross-sectional analysis of *** representative data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination survey2011-2018 among adults aged 20 years or *** sitting time and leisure-time physical activity(LTPA)were self-reported using the Global Physical Activity *** fat(total and trunk fat percentage)was determined via dual X-ray ***:Among 10,808 adults,about 54.6%spent 6 h/day or more sitting;more than one-half reported no LTPA(inactive)or less than 150 min/week LTPA(insufficiently active)with only 43.3%reported 150 min/week or more LTPA(active)in the past *** fully adjusting for sociodemographic data,lifestyle behaviors,and chronic conditions,prolonged sitting time and low levels of LTPA were associated with higher total and trunk fat percentages in both *** stratifying by LTPA,the association between daily sitting time and body fat appeared to be stronger in those who were inactive/insuufficiently *** the joint analyses,inactive/insuufficiently active adults who reported sitting more than 8 h/day had the highest total(female:3.99%(95%confidence interval(95%CI):3.09%-4.88%);male:3.79%(95%CI:2.75%-4.82%))and trunk body fat percentages(female:4.21%(95%CI:3.09%-5.32%);male:4.07%(95%CI:2.95%-5.19%))when compared with those who were active and sitting less than 4 h/***:Prolonged daily sitting time was associated with increased body fat among *** higher body fat associated with 6 h/day sitting may not be offset by achieving recommended levels of physical activity.
