Testicular biopsy was considered the cornerstone of male infertility diagnosis for many years in men with unexplained infertility and azoospermia. Recent guidelines for male infertility have limited the indications for a diagnostic testicular biopsy to the confirmation of obstructive azoospermia in men with normal size testes and normal reproductive hormones. nowadays, testicular biopsies are mainly performed for sperm harvesting in men with non-obstructive azoospermia, to be used for intracytoplasmic sperm injection. Testicular biopsy is also performed in men with risk factors for testicular malignancy. In a subgroup of infertile men, there is an increased risk for carcinoma in situ of the testis, especially in men with a history of cryptorchidism and testicular malignancy and in men with testicular atrophy. Ultrasonographic abnormalities, such as testicular microlithiasis, inhomogeneous parenchyma and lesions of the testes, further increase the risk of carcinoma in situ （CIs） in these men. For an accurate histological classification, proper tissue handling, fixation, preparation of the specimen and evaluation are needed. A standardized approach to testicular biopsy is recommended. In addition, approaches to the detection of CIs of the testis testicular immunohistochemistry are mandatory. In this mini-review, we describe the current indications for testicular biopsies in the diagnosis and management of male infertility.

The effects of the long range electrostatic interaction in twisted bilayer graphene are described using the HartreeFock approximation. The results show a significant dependence of the band widths and shapes on electron filling,and the existence of broken symmetry phases at many densities, either valley/spin polarized, with broken sublattice symmetry, or both.

The preparation of naCaPO4 doped with rare earth （RE） ions Ce3＋, Eu3＋ and Dy3＋ by combustion method was described. Under UV excitation （251 nm） of naCaPO4：Ce3＋ showsd emission （367 nm） in UV range. When naCaPO4：Dy3＋ phosphor was excited at 349 nm, the emission spectrum showed intense bands at 482 nm （blue） and 576 nm （yellow）. In Eu activated naCaPO4 phosphor, the emission spectrum showed a dominant peak at 594 nm （orange） while others were at 614 and 621 nm （red） when excited at 393 nm. The prepared phosphor was characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscope （sEM） and photoluminescence （PL） measurement. Thus, the photoluminescence behavior of naCaPO4：Ce3＋ was strongly suggested for scintillator. Likewise, Eu3＋ and Dy3＋ activated naCaPO4 phosphors were recommended for near-UV white light-emitting diodes （LEDs）.

nationwide monitoring of the aquatic environment was initiated in 1988 in Denmark as a means to follow the outcome of the Action Plans for nutrient pollution of the aquatic environment. Five Action Plans have been adopted by the Danish Parliament since 1985 and the nationwide monitoring programme can be used to quantify the outcome as shown by reductions in nutrient discharges from both point and non-point sources. Moreover, the empirical experience gathered from nearly 20 years of monitoring is assisting the development and calibration of models for simulation of nitrogen leaching, nitrogen removal in groundwater and surface waters and the establishment of a P-index all covering the entire land area of Denmark.

This paper describes an analytical model for bulk electron mobility in strained-si layers as a function of strain. Phonon scattering, columbic scattering and surface roughness scattering are included to analyze the full mobility model. Analytical explicit calculations of all of the parameters to accurately estimate the electron mobility have been made. The results predict an increase in the electron mobility with the application of biaxial strain as also predicted from the basic theory of strain physics of metal oxide semiconductor （MOs） devices. The results have also been compared with numerically reported results and show good agreement.

Glasses were prepared from the compositions of 25Gd_2O_3-10 CaO-10 siO_2-（55–x）B_2O_3-xDy_2O_3（where x is 0.0 mol.%–1.0 mol.%） by the conventional melt-quenching technique at 1400 oC. The results demonstrated the increase in the glass density with respect to the increase in the doping concentrations of Dy_2O_3. nine absorption bands were observed. The emission spectra of the developed glass showed two strong peaks at 577 nm（~4F_（9/2）→~6H_（13/2）） and 482 nm（~4F_（9/2）→~6H_（15/2））. The highest emission intensity was observed from the developed glass prepared at 0.4 mol.% of Dy_2O_3, as the efficient energy transfer took place from Gd^（3＋） to Dy^（3＋）. From the X-ray induced optical luminescence, the emission spectra were identical to those from PL measurements, but with the highest intensity observed from the glass quenched at 0.45 mol.% of Dy_2O_3. Finally, the integral scintillation efficiency of the developed glass was determined at 27% of that of the commercially available BGO crystal.

Blue emitting rare earth（Eu2＋,Ce3＋） doped BaAl2si2O8 phosphors were synthesized by combustion methods at 600 oC. BaAl2si2O8： Eu2＋ phosphor showed isolated broad blue emission band at 455 nm, when it was excited with the wavelength of 329 nm. Whereas BaAl2si2O8：Ce3＋ phosphor exhibited blue emission band at 442 nm, under 303 nm excitation wavelength. These observed emission bands of Eu2＋ and Ce3＋ ions corresponded to 5d-4f allowed transitions. The position of emission band was calculated by using the equationE=Q[1-〔V/4〕^1/V）]× 10 （nEar/80）Also the spin orbit splitting difference in the ground state levels of Ce3＋ ion was studied by Gaussian curve fitting. Broad absorption and emission bands in blue regions made prepared phosphors a promising blue host for the white-LEDs.

Fluorine doped tin oxide snO2：F thin films were prepared by the spray pyrolysis （sP） technique on glass substrates by using snC12.2H2O as a precursor and nH4F and HF as doping compounds. A comparison between the properties of the films obtained by using the two doping compounds was performed by using I-V characteristics in the dark at room temperature, AC measurements, and transmittance. It is found that the films prepared by using HF have smaller resistivity, lower impedance and they are less capacitive than films prepared by using nH4F. In addition, these films have higher transmittance, higher optical bandgap energy and narrower Urbach tail width. These results are interesting for the use of snO2：F as forecontact in Cds/CdTe solar cells.
