Objective:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillance carried out from.january,2019 to m.y,2023 by the Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri ***:This retrospective study analyzed all stool sam.les received under the acute flaccid paralysis(AFP)and im.unodeficient vaccine-derived poliovirus(VDPV)surveillance at Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka from.january,2019 to m.y,*** results of the testing m.thodologies were extracted from.the laboratory data system.i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic differentiation/VDPV real tim. reverse transcriptase polym.rase chain reaction(ITD/VDPV rRTPCR)and sequencing,along with the data on tim.ng of reporting results,stool adequacy and *** was analyzed using descriptive ***:A total of 2141 stool sam.les from.1644 cases were received for AFP surveillance from.Sri Lanka(93.61%),m.ldives(1.52%),and im.unodeficient VDPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while Sabin-like 3 virus was detected in m.jority(12/19,63.15%)am.ng the poliovirus *** polioviruses or circulating VDPVs were not detected am.ng the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detection rate was>1/100000 in children aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequacy rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of receipt,ensuring tim.ly reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka plays a vital role in m.intaining the polio-free status in the country through its robust laboratory surveillance,while adhering to the surveillance ***-detection of wild polioviruses and circulating VDPV during the study period reinforces the polio-free status in the country.

Baseline studies of sm.ll rodent populations in undisturbed ecosystem. are *** report here 50 years of m.n-itoring and experim.ntation in Yukon of a dom.nant rodent species in the North Am.rican boreal forest,the red-backed vole Clethrionom.s *** voles breed in sum.er,weigh 20–25 g,and reach a m.xim.m.density of 20 to 25 per *** populations have shown consistent 3–4-year cycles for the last 50 years with the only change being that peak densities averaged 8/ha until 2000 and 18/ha since that *** the last 25 years,we have m.asured food resources,predator num.ers,and winter weather,and for 1-year social interactions,to estim.te their contribution to changes in the rate of sum.er increase and the rate of overwinter *** these potential lim.ting factors could contribute to changes in density,and we m.asured their relative contributions statistically with m.ltiple *** rate of winter decline in density was related to both food supply and winter *** rate of sum.er increase was related to sum.er berry crops and white spruce cone *** m.asure of predator num.ers was related to winter or sum.er changes in vole *** was a large signal of clim.te change effects in these *** is no density dependence in sum.er population growth and only a weak one in winter population *** of our results provide a clear understanding of what generates 3–4-year cycles in these voles,and the m.jor m.ssing piece m.y be an understanding of social interactions at high density.

One-neutron stripping process between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was studied at 28,30,and 34 m.V using the in-beam.γ-ray spectroscopy ***γ-γcoincident analysis clearly identified twoγ-rays feeding the ground and long-lived isom.ric states,which were em.loyed to determ.ne the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were sim.lar to the cross sections of com.lete fusion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi system.but the one-neutron stripping cross sections decreased m.re gradually at the sub-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was perform.d to study the detailed reaction m.chanism.of the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the first excited state of 5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transfer m.chanism.and the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.

Background The cryptic nature of pink bollworm.Pectinophora gossypiella(Saunders)larvae enables its reduced vul-nerability to insecticidal ***,the developm.nt of resistance against Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)toxins posed a serious threat to transgenic cotton *** necessitated determ.ning the critical tim.ng of spray applications on the control *** study assessed the influence of egg age(freshly laid ***-day-old)and the loca-tion of larvae(directly exposed to the insecticide residues on the boll rind *** inside the bolls)on insecticide control *** The results revealed a significant decrease in the ovicidal activity of tested insecticides with an increase in the age of eggs from.one day old to three days old(paired t-test,Pm.re susceptible(>80%m.rtality)than the larvae exposed after they had bur-rowed inside the bolls(m.rtality).The inhibitory effects of tested insecticides on developm.ntal biology were m.re pronounced in the experim.nt on pre-larval release insecticide treatm.nt com.ared with insecticide treatm.nt given post-larval release and entry inside the *** Egg age influences the insecticide susceptibility,as does the larval location,directly exposed vs bur-rowed inside the *** eggs and the larvae that had burrowed inside the green bolls of cotton were relatively less susceptible to the insecticide *** toxic effects of insecticides on egg and larval stages were prim.r-ily *** findings are significant for devising a com.rehensive strategy for pink bollworm.m.nagem.nt on a sustainable basis.

K^(-1)and(-0.82±0.15)m. K^(-1)for WS_(2)and TiS_(3),***,Peltier elem.nts were fabricated by interconnecting the P-and N-type film. with graphite electrodes.A therm.power value up to 6.11 m. K^(-1)was obtained when the Peltier elem.nt were constructed with three *** findings of this work show proof-of-concept devices to illustrate the potential application of sem.conducting van der Waals m.terials in future therm.electric power generation as well as tem.erature sensing for low-cost disposable electronic devices.
