The Amazonian Craton comprises an Archean domain surrounded by four successively younger Proterozoic tectonic provinces. Within the Rio-Negro-juruena province the serra da Providencia Intrusive suite （1.60 and 1.53 Ga） consists of A-type rapakivi gran- ites, charnockites and mangerites genetically associated with diabase dikes, gabbros and amphibolites. The original mafic melts were derived from a depleted mantle source （εN（T）＋2.5 to ＋2.8;εsr（T） -12.1）. Underplated mafic magma induced melting of a short-lived felsic crust, thus originating coeval felsic-mafic magmatism in a conti- nental intraplate setting. The Colorado Complex, assigned to the Rondonian-san Ignacio province, comprises 1.35-1.36 Ga intrusive bimodal magmatism represented by monzonite gneisses associated with amphibolite, gabbro and metadiabase dikes intercalated with metasediments with detrital zircon that yield U- Pb ages of 1.35 to 1.42 Ga. Mafic samples dis- play juvenile signatures （εNd（T） 0.0 to ＋5.2; εsr（T） --5.0 to --30.7） and are less contaminated than the serra da Previdencia and Nova Brasilandia ones. The generation of the basaltic magma is related to the subduction of an oceanic slab below the peridotite wedge （intraoceanic arc setting）. Fluids and/or small melts from the slab impregnated the mantle. The Nova Brasilandia sequence （sunsas-Aguapef province） comprises a metasedimentary sequence intruded by 1.10-1.02 Ga metadia- bases, gabbros, meta-gabbros, and amphibolites associated with granitic plutons （bimodal mag- matism）. The original tholeiitic magmas, derived from a depleted source （εNd（T） = ＋3.1 to ＋5.0）, in a proto-oceanic setting, underwent subsequent contamination by the host rocks, as indicated by the isotopic and trace element data.

The radiation shielding efficiency of material depends upon photon attenuation, exposure buildup factors and neutron removal capacity. A newly developed Pb-free gadolinium-based glasses in compositions(80-x) B_2O_3-10 si O_2-10 Ca O-x Gd_2O_3(where x = 15, 20, 25, 30 and35 mol%) had completely been investigated for their shielding efficiency with Geant4 simulation for mass attenuation coefficients and neutron total macroscopic cross section and by calculating exposure buildup *** exposure buildup factors for photon energy from 0.015 to 15 Me v had been calculated up to 40 mean free paths using five factors geometric progression method. The mass attenuation coefficients of the Pb-free glasses were simulated for energies from 223 to 2614 ke v and compared with the possible available experimental results. The neutron shielding efficiency of these glasses was discussed by calculating neutron total macroscopic cross section for energies from 1 e v to 14.1 Me v. Present investigations are found to be very useful for applications in nuclear engineering.

The hydrogenation properties of Ti-v hydrides coated with nanoparticles have been studied in gaseous mixtures of argon and hydrogen with and without additions of 1% CO. Nanoparticles of Pd, Ni, and co-deposited Pd/Pt with particle sizes of;0–60 nm were formed by electroless deposition on the hydride surfaces. The alloy resistance to CO could be significantly improved by particle deposition. Large amounts of hydrogen were absorbed in a CO-containing gas when Ni and Pd/Pt deposition had been applied, while pure Pd deposition had no positive effect. Ni was found to have a stronger effect than those of Pd/Pt and Pd, possibly because of the size effect of Ni nanoparticles.

Znse thin films are successfully deposited by spray pyrolysis deposition technique. Deposited thin films are characterized by X-ray diffraction study, and it reveals that spray-deposited Znse thin films are polycrystalline with hexagonal crystal structure. surface morphology is carried out by scanning electron microscopy. It shows cotton-like morphology, and optical properties, such as absorbance, transmittance, reflectance, band gap, refrac- tive index, extinction coefficient are studied. Photoluminescence shows strong emission at 497 nm. Also, spray- deposited Znse thin films are hydrophilic in nature, which is shown by contact angle meter.

Airline operators face accidental damages on their fleet of aircraft as part of operational *** occurrences are hard to predict;consequently,the approach towards repairing accidental damage is reactive in aircraft maintenance ***,by aggregating occurrence data and predicting future occurrence rates,it is possible to predict future long-term(strategic)demand for maintenance *** this paper,a novel approach for integration of reliability modelling and inventory control is ***,the concept of a base stock policy has been translated to the maintenance slot capacity problem to determine long-term cost-optimal *** has been modelled using a superposed Non-homogeneous Poisson Process(NHPP).A case study has been performed on damage data from a fleet of Boeing 777 *** results prove the feasibility of adopting an integrated approach towards strategic capacity identification,using real-life data to predict future damage occurrence and associated maintenance slot requirements.

Commercial(Rs) and laboratory synthesized resoles(LsRs) containing 3–5 wt% ferrocene have been used to study the development of thermosetting resin compositions as binder materials for carbon-containing refractories(CCRs) production. The LsRs were developed based on formaldehyde to phenol 1.5 mol.%(1.5 Rs) and 2.0 mol.%(2 Rs). Microstructure and oxidation resistance of carbons derived from plain and modified resins have been compared. Chemical structure of the resins was studied using Fourier Transform InfraRed-Attenuated Total Reflection(FTIR-ATR) spectroscopy. X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy was used to examine chemical changes during heat treatment of the modified products. Flow behavior of plain and formulated resins has been measured under isothermal condition. Rheology measurement results show that the selected amount of ferrocene did not affect the resin near-Newtonian fluid behavior and processability during refractory production. X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis and transmission Electron Microscope(TEM) were used to characterize the derived carbon samples after thermal treatment of the resins. The results demonstrate that ferrocene is an excellent additive for crystallizing resoles carbon. The presence of fringes in TEM images indicates the graphitized carbon microstructure. The carbon reactivity in an oxidizing environment was also determined via thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA). several factors, such as bond strength and atoms arrangement, have been found to control the carbonized modified-resin oxidation resistance.

We report the detection of aγ-ray bubble spanning at least 100deg2 in ultra-high energy(UHE)up to a few Pev in the direction of the star-forming region Cygnus X,implying the presence super Pevatron(s)accelerating protons to at least 10 Pev.A log-parabola form with the photon indexΓ(E)=(2.71±0.02)+(0.11±0.02)×log10(E/10 Tev)is found fitting the gamma-ray energy spectrum of the bubble *** sources,“hot spots”correlated with very massive molecular clouds,and a quasi-spherical amorphousγ-ray emitter with a sharp central brightening are observed in the *** the core of~0.5°,spatially associating with a region containing massive OB association(Cygnus OB2)and a microquasar(Cygnus X-3),as well as previously reported multi-Tev sources,an enhanced concentration of UHEγ-rays is observed with 2 photons at energies above 1 *** general feature of the bubble,the morphology,and the energy spectrum,are reasonably reproduced by the assumption of a particle accelerator in the core,continuously injecting protons into the ambient medium.

Animal production depends on nutrient utilization and if done there is an accelerated momentum towards growth with a low cost to feed ratio Public concern over the consumption of pork with antibiotic residues of the animals fed with antibiotic growth promoters （AGP） has paved the way to use other additives like herbs and their products, probiotics, prebiotics etc. Numerous feed additives are in vogue for achieving this target and one such classical example is the usage of organic acids and their salts. Usage of organic acids was in progress for over four decades. Early weaned piglets are （3-4 weeks age） exposed to stress with a reduced feed intake, little or no weight gain. This post weaning lag period is due to a limited digestive and absorptive capacity due to insufficient production of hydrochloric acid, pancreatic enzymes and sudden changes in feed consistency and intake. Lowering dietary pH by weak organic acids was found to overcome these problems. The main activity of organic acids is associated with a reduction in gastric pH converting the inactive pepsinogen to active pepsin for effective protein hydrolysis. Organic acids are both bacteriostatic and bactericidal. Lactic acid has been reported to reduce gastric pH and delay the multiplication of an enterotoxigenic E. coil These acids are the intermediary products in Kreb＇s cycle and thus act as an energy source preventing the tissue breakdown resulting from gluconeogenesis and lipolysis. Excretion of supplemental minerals and nitrogen are minimized with organic acids as these form complexes with minerals and aids for their bio-availability. short chain fatty cids like acetic, propionic and n-butyric acid produced by microbial fermentation of dietary fibre in the large intestines may increase the proliferation of epithelial cells and have stimulatory effects on both endocrine and exocrine pancreatic secretions in pigs.
