Objective To present a new approach for the endovascular repair of Thoracic Aortic Aneurysrns & Dis- sections(TAAD)involving the aortic arch in high risk patients(HRP).Methods Between May 1999 and April 2004,we treated 49 patients with industrial thoracic aortic stentgrafts,of which 8 *** mean age was 69+/-9 *** patients(28.6%)required a management of the great vessels be- fore endovascular exclusion of the aortic *** patients had pure thoracic aortic aneurysms,7 had a thoracic aortic dissection. Prior to endovascular exclusion we performed a first surgical step,which consisted in transposition of the supra-aortic ves- *** included 7 transpositions of all the supra-aortic vessels(which we called"total transpositions")and 7 transpo- sition of both left great vessels(common carotid artery & sub-clavian artery(SCA)),which we called"hemi-arch transpositions".In this study,since we commonly cover the SCA without transposing it,except in very few selected cases, we did not report transpositions of the sole left SCA. Total transpositions were achieved throughout median sternotomy and bypass grafting from the ascending aorta,while the transposition of left great vessels was carried out with cervicotomy. In these patients,we used 8 Talent(,Excluder(r)in 3 cases and 3 Zenith(endografts to cover the aortic arch or semi- arch & the descending aortic portion. Results Amongst the 14 patients who underwent aortic arch exclusion,we had a 100% procedural success although we observed 2 persisting early minimal type-1 endoleaks(14.3%),which resolved *** patient died 2 days after the stentgrafting procedure from multi-organ failure after iliac *** vessels transposition,we had 1 minor stroke,which worsened after endovascular *** to stentgraft deployment,we observed 2 delayed major strokes(2/14=14.3%).No paraplegia and no stent related complication was *** in-hospital major stroke/ death rate was 21.4%. Early childhood growth and development is conditioned by the consecutive events belonging to perinatal programming. This critical window of life will be very sensitive to any event altering programming of the main body *** of gut function, which is starting right after conception, relates to a very well-established series of cellular and molecular events associating all types of cells present in this organ, including neurons, endocrine and immune cells. At birth, this machinery continues to settle with the establishment of extra connection between enteric and other systemic systems and is partially under the control of gut microbiota activity, itself being under the densification and the diversification of microorganisms’ population. As thus, any environmental factor interfering on this pre-established program may have a strong incidence on body functions. For all these reasons, pregnant women, fetuses and infants will be particularly susceptible to environmental factors and especially food contaminants. In this review, we will summarize the actual understanding of the consequences of repeated low-level exposure to major food contaminants on gut homeostasis settlement and on brain/gut axis communication considering the pivotal role played by the gut microbiota during the fetal and postnatal stages and the presumed consequences of these food toxicants on the individuals especially in relation with the risks of developing later in life non-communicable chronic diseases.

The small hive beetle Aethina tumida is an endemic parasitic pest and scavenger of colonies of social bees indigenous to sub-Saharan Africa. In this region this species rarely inflicts severe damage on strong colonies since the bees have developed strategies to combat them. However, A. tumida has since ＇escaped＇ from its native home and has recently invaded areas such as North America and Australia where its economic impact on the apiculture industry has been significant. Small hive beetle, should it become established within Europe, represents a real and live threat to the UK bee keeping industry. Here we review the biology and current pest status of A. tumida and up to-date research in terms of both chemical and biological control used against this honey bee pest [Current Zoology 59 （5）： 644-653, 2013].

Analytic compartmental models are currently used in mathematical epidemiology to forecast the COVID-19 pandemic evolution and explore the impact of mitigation *** general,such models treat the population as a single entity,losing the social,cultural and economical *** present a network model that uses socio-demographic datasets with the highest available granularity to predict the spread of COVID-19 in the province of *** model is flexible enough to incorporate the effect of containment policies,such as lockdowns or the use of protective masks,and can be easily adapted to future *** follow a stochastic approach that combines a compartmental model with detailed individual microdata from the population census,including social determinants and age-dependent strata,and time-dependent mobility *** show that our model reproduces the dynamical features of the disease across two waves and demonstrates its capability to become a powerful tool for simulating epidemic events.

目的：探讨不同年龄小鼠牙齿基质成分（tooth matrix components，TMCs）对体外血管形成的影响。方法：100g／LEDTA提取2月龄及3月龄野生小鼠切牙的TMCs（pH7．2）。血管内皮细胞-成纤维细胞共培养体系在含有TMCs（0．001～0．1ms／mL）的培养液中培养11d，内皮细胞特异性因子PECAM-1显色血管后采用图像分析系统测量血管总数、长度及分支数。血管形成刺激因子VEGF及抑制因子Suramin组分别作为阳性和阴性对照组，单纯培养液为空白对照组。各项指标与空白对照及2月龄和3月龄同浓度各数值间进行Student—T统计分析。结果：低浓度TMCs（0．001～0．01mg／mL）具有刺激血管形成的效果。其中，2月龄小鼠较3月龄小鼠的TMCs刺激作用更强。较高浓度TMCs（0．1mg／mL）对血管形成具有显著的抑制效应（P〈0．001），但小鼠年龄对此效应无影响。结论：TMCs对血管形成具有计量依赖性影响效应；低浓度时可刺激血管形成且与年龄长幼相关。提示牙髓损伤后自身修复能力随年龄增长而降低的现象可能与损伤后牙齿基质的释放所导致不同程度的血管形成密切相关。
