The fabrication and characterization of the first magnetoelectric sensors utilizing arrays of janus magnetoelectric composite nanowires composed of barium titanate and cobalt ferrite are *** utilizing magnetoelectric nanowires suspended across electrodes above the substrate,substrate clamping is reduced when compared to layered thin-film architectures;this results in enhanced magnetoelectric *** magnetoelectric nanowires are fabricated by sol–gel electrospinning,and their length is controlled through the electrospinning and calcination *** a directed nanomanufacturing approach,the nanowires are then assembled onto pre-patterned metal electrodes on a silicon substrate using *** this process,functional magnetic field sensors are formed by connecting many nanowires in *** observed magnetic field sensitivity from the parallel array of nanowires is 0.514±.027mV Oe^(−1) at 1 kHz,which translates to a magnetoelectric coefficient of 514±27mV cm^(−1) Oe^(−1).

Imploding hydraulic jumps in water are created by reservoir-type (RT) and gate-type (GT) water tables. After comparison with the Chestner-Chisnell-Whitham (CCW) approximate solution of imploding hydraulic jumps, the critical range of operation where the dynamics of the imploding water waves are similar to imploding gaseous shock waves is identified. Possible details are identified that enable water waves in this critical range to behave analogously to gaseous shock waves.

Moringa oleifera trees are naturally found in tropical climates around the world and therefore the extent of their adaptability to cooler climates was the main objective of this study. A total of 264 trees, made up of an equal number hardened and non-hardened seedlings were randomly assigned to three temperature-controlled greenhouses each with a different fluctuating night/day temperature regime (TR) namely;10/20°C ± 2°C, 15/25°C ± 2°C and 20/30°C ± 2°C. During the 32-week trial period, biweekly measurements of tree height, stem diameter and leaf area estimates of each individual tree within all three temperature regimes (TRs) were taken. The 20/30°C TR was the most favorable towards overall tree growth, as the highest values were obtained across most measured parameters. The increase in temperature resulted in growth rate increases of over 650% between the 10/20°C and 20/30°C and over 250% between the 10/20°C and 15/25°C night/day TRs. The hardening-off pre-treatment increased both final tree height and stem diameter, resulting in increases of 3.09X (10/20°C), 1.44X (15/25°C) and 1.23X (20/30°C) compared to their non-hardened off counterparts. The average tree leaf area increases followed a similar trend in both tree height and stem diameter, but expressed more volatility at the higher TRs. Although the average leaf area increased with the increase in TR and remained higher for the duration of the trial, cycles of regular leaf drop and renewed flushes were prevalent at both the 15/25°C and 20/30°C temperature treatments.

The combination of kidney paired donation(KPD) with desensitization represents a promising method of increasing the rate of living donor kidney transplantation(LDKT) in immunologically challenging patients. Patients who are difficult to match and desensitize due to strong donor specific antibody are may be transplanted by a combination of desensitization and KPD protocol with more immunologically favorable donor. We present our experience of combination of desensitization protocol with three-way KPD which contributed to successful LDKT in highly sensitized end stage renal disease patient. All recipients were discharged with normal and stable allograft function at 24 mo follow up. We believe that this is first report from India where three-way KPD exchange was performed with the combination of KPD and desensitization. The combination of desensitization protocol with KPD improves access and outcomes of LDKT.

Dissociation schemes of C and Cfullerene ions produced by bombardment of Ar ions atlow energies(v≈0.24 au) have been investigated by analyzing the time of flight of the fragments incoincidence with the outgoing projectiles and the ejected electrons For C, several dissociationchannels have been identified which involve the loss of small neutral as well as charged fragments. Theprobability of each channel has been measured experimentally and compared to the calculation based on atheoretical model including a statistical description of the evaporation, the RRK theory, and a simulationof the multistep cascade decay for sequential losses of low mass fragments. The initial energy of the Cion and the dissociation energy of each channel have also been evaluated. For C. sequential andsimultaneous ejection of small charged fragments has been studied.
