The purpose of this study was to examine the cumulative effects of exposure to a pathogenic bacteria and municipal effluent in the freshwater mussel Elliptio complanata. Mussels were exposed to increasing concentrations of an ozone-treated effluent at 15°C for 7 days. A sub-group of mussels was inoculated with Vibrio anguillarum and exposed to the same conditions as *** the exposure period, mussels were collected to assess hemocyte count and viability,immunocompetence（phagocytosis and nitrite production）, oxidative stress/inflammation（cyclooxygenase and lipid peroxidation） and oxygen radical/xenobiotic scavenging activity（metallothioniens, glutathione S-transferase）. The results showed that mussels exposed to municipal effluent had increased hemocyte counts, phagocytosis, nitrites, lipid peroxidation and metallothioneins. In the inoculated mussels, the same responses were observed, in addition to cyclooxygenase and glutathione S-transferase activities. Multivariate analyses revealed that（1）the response pattern changed with effluent concentration, where increased responses observed at low effluent concentrations（〉10%, V/V） were attenuated at higher effluent concentrations,（2）the effluent produced more pronounced changes in lipid peroxidation, metallothionein and hemocyte viability, and（3） the simultaneous presence of V. anguillarum led to more important changes in hemocyte count and viability and nitrite levels. In conclusion, the presence of *** could alter the response of mussels to municipal effluent, which could lead to increased inflammation in mussels.

Slow Pyrolysis of Sugarcane Bagasse for the Production of Char and the Potential of Its By-Product for Wood Protection

Sugarcane bagasse was pyrolyzed using a laboratory fixed bed reactor to produce char and its by-product(pyrolysis liquid).The pyrolysis experiments were carried out using different temperatures(400℃ and 500℃),heating rate(1℃/min and 10℃/min),and holding time(30 min and 60 min).Char was characterized according to its thermal properties,while the pyrolysis liquid was tested for its anti-fungal and anti-termite *** temperature and heating rate had a significant influence on the char properties and the yield of char and pyrolysis liquid,where a high-quality char and high yield of pyrolysis liquid can be obtained at a temperature of 500℃ and a heating rate of 10℃/*** yield of char and pyrolysis liquid was 28.97%and 55.46%,*** principal compounds of pyrolysis liquid were water,acetic acid,glycolaldehyde,1-hydroxy-2-propanone,methanol,formic acid,levoglucosan,furfural,followed by some phenol compounds and guaiacol *** liquid at a concentration of 0.20%and 0.25%(v/v)caused a 100%inhibition of Coniophora puteana and Trametes versicolor,respectively,when performing inhibition growth tests in Petri *** paper treated with 10%of pyrolysis liquid caused 100%of termite mortality,while only 5.65%–7.03%of the treated filter papers consumed by termites at such *** liquid is potentially effective to be used in the formulation of wood protection against fungi and termites.

Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis(DISH) is a prevalent noninflammatory spondyloarthropathy characterized by ectopic mineral formation along the anterolateral aspect of the vertebral column, yet little is known about its underlying pathogenesis. Our objective was to evaluate the histopathological features and composition of ectopic mineral within spinal tissues affected by DISH in humans. Thoracic spine segments from six embalmed cadaveric donors(one female and five males;median age 82 years)meeting the radiographic diagnostic criteria for DISH were evaluated using radiological, histological, and physical analyses. Overall,the histological features of ectopic mineralization at individual motion segments were heterogeneous, including regions of heterotopic ossification and dystrophic calcification. Heterotopic ossifications were characterized by woven and lamellar bone,multifocal areas of metaplastic cartilage, and bony bridges along the anterior aspect of the intervertebral disc space. Dystrophic calcifications were characterized by an amorphous appearance, a high content of calcium and phosphorus, an X-ray diffraction pattern matching that of hydroxyapatite, and radiodensities exceeding that of cortical bone. Dystrophic calcifications were found within the anterior longitudinal ligament and annulus fibrosus in motion segments both meeting and not meeting the radiographic criteria for DISH. In summary, our findings indicate that in DISH, ectopic mineral forms along the anterior aspect of the spine by both heterotopic ossification and dystrophic calcification of fibrocartilaginous tissues. Although both types of ectopic mineralization are captured by current radiographic criteria for DISH, dystrophic calcification may reflect a distinct disease process or an early stage in the pathogenesis of DISH.

More than 100 recent collections of Valsaria sensu lato mostly from Europe were used to elucidate the species composition within the *** phylogeny based on SSU,LSU,ITS,rpb2 and tef1 sequences revealed a monophyletic group of ten species within the Dothideomycetes,belonging to three morphologically similar *** group could not be accommodated in any known family and are thus classified in the new family Valsariaceae and the new order *** genus Valsaria sensu stricto comprises ***,***,***,***,*** *** *** ***.,which are phylogenetically well-defined,but morphologically nearly indistinguishable *** new monotypic genus Bambusaria is introduced to accommodate Valsaria *** rubra and Valsaria fulvopruinata are combined in Myrmaecium,a genus traditionally treated as a synonym of Valsaria,which comprises three species,with *** as its generic *** work is presented as a basis for additional species to be detected in future.

为研究集料微观结构对碱活性快速检测方法中对岩石适应性的影响,采用混凝土棱柱体法、快速砂浆棒法、压蒸法、中国快速砂浆棒法研究了波茨坦砂岩的膨胀行为,并研究了膨胀后试件的微观结构。结果表明:快速砂浆棒法、压蒸法、中国快速砂浆棒法均不能正确判定波茨坦砂岩的碱活性,主要是由于这些方法使用的集料中含大量粒径太小、不能反映该砂岩特殊结构特征的颗粒;对该类岩石,除活性组分的类型、数量外,岩石的微观结构特征能够显著影响碱–集料反应发生的位置和膨胀行为。在快速法中采用能够保持岩石原有结构特征的集料粒径是正确鉴定类似波茨坦砂岩微观结构岩石及其它非均质、多矿物岩石碱活性的关键。

在采用X射线衍射分析、化学组成分析和偏光显微镜分析对硅质碳酸盐集料的矿物学特征充分研究的基础上,研究了锂离子迁移渗透在混凝土碱集料反应过程中的行为特征.混凝土棱柱法(CSA A23.2-14A或ASTM C1293)所测的膨胀结果表明:掺加[Li]/[Na+K]摩尔比1.11的LiNO3能有效抑制混凝土碱集料反应膨胀;锂玻璃不仅不能抑制碱集料反应膨胀甚至会在一定程度上促进膨胀;与单一掺加混合材(粉煤灰或矿渣)相比,LiNO3与混合材的复合在一定程度上增强了相应的膨胀抑制效果;在混凝土碱集料反应过程中,存在Li+与Na+,K+之间的竞争.相对而言,Li+具有一定的优势.这与锂盐能表现出一定的混凝土碱集料反应膨胀抑制效果相一致.此外,强度对比研究结果表明,掺加锂盐一定程度上降低了混凝土的强度.

Methodologies for Assessing 3D QoE: Standards and Explorative Studies

Mastering quality of experience （QoE） is key to the widespread adoption of stereoscopic 3DTV （S-3DTV）. However, assessing QoE of S-3DTV is not straightforward. Methods for determining observer experience need to be clearly defined and sufficiently robust. In this paper, we present state-of-the-art subjective QoE assessment for S-3DTV. We present conventional stan- dardized ITU recommendations for evaluating picture quality and discuss new ITU activities in the area of S-3DTV assess- ment. We also present and discuss explorative studies from the literature. We then introduce ways of using conventional quality assessment for S-3DTV QoE assessment. In discussing our pro- posal, we mainly focus on QoE indicators and common features of subjective assessment. Multidimensional QoE indicators need to be used in S-3DTV to highlight advantages and reveal problems. In the second part of our proposal, we discuss the re- quirements for adapting ITU-R BT.500, a conventional subjec- tive QoE assessment method, ITU-R BT.500, for assessing QoE of S-3DTV are presented.

针对当前半监督集成学习算法对无标记样本预测时容易出现的标注混沌问题,文中提出基于分类风险的半监督集成学习算法(Classification Risk-Based Semi-supervised Ensemble Learning Algorithm,CR-SSEL).采用分类风险作为无标记样本置信度的评判标准,可有效衡量样本标注的不确定性程度.迭代地训练分类器,对高置信度样本进行再强化,使样本标注的不确定性逐渐降低,增强半监督集成学习算法的分类性能.在多个标准数据集上验证CR-SSEL的学习参数影响、训练过程收敛和泛化性能提升,实验表明随着基分类器个数的增加,CR-SSEL的训练过程呈收敛趋势,获得较优的分类精度.
