Objective This study investigated the clinical details and usage of Sa-am acupuncture in Korean medicine clinics and explored how practicing Korean medicine doctors(KMDs)think about Sa-am *** We conducted a questionnaire-based survey of KMDs who utilize Sa-am acupuncture in their *** study comprehensively investigated issues related to clinical application of Sa-am acupuncture,needling techniques used during treatment,training methods,and directions for its future *** We analyzed 572 *** average of 50%of the patients visiting Korean medicine clinics were receiving Sa-am *** most prevalent indication for Sa-am acupuncture use was digestive *** patients’appetite level and digestive function were most frequently used indicators for selecting acupuncture *** prescription compositions,jung-Gyuk formulas were more frequently used than Seung-Gyuk *** the needle along the flow of the channel or against the flow of the channel was most *** acupuncture style most frequently used in combination with Sa-am acupuncture was Ashi point *** of Sa-am acupuncture included its versatility,easy application,and good *** included the lack of rigorous education and training programs,difficulty in applying the principles for beginners,and insufficient clinical research *** In clinics where Sa-am acupuncture is available,KMDs were providing Sa-am acupuncture to about half of their *** were not using all of the tonification and sedation techniques which may be due to time constraints or simply a lack of ***-am acupuncture demonstrated high utility in clinical practice and high satisfaction based on the efficacy and *** training programs and high-quality research are needed to help expand the use of Sa-am acupuncture.

Data trading enables data owners and data requesters to sell and purchase *** the emergence of blockchain technology,research on blockchain-based data trading systems is receiving a lot of ***,to reduce the on-chain storage cost,a novel paradigm of blockchain and cloud fusion has been widely considered as a promising data trading ***,the fact that data can be used for commercial purposes will encourage users and organizations from various fields to participate in the data *** the data marketplace,it is a challenge how to trade the data securely outsourced to the external cloud in a way that restricts access to the data only to authorized users across multiple *** this paper,we propose a cross-domain bilateral access control protocol for blockchain-cloud based data trading *** consider a system model that consists of domain authorities,data senders,data receivers,a blockchain layer,and a cloud *** proposed protocol enables access control and source identification of the outsourced data by leveraging identity-based cryptographic *** the proposed protocol,the outsourced data of the sender is encrypted under the target receiver’s identity,and the cloud provider performs policy-match verification on the authorization tags of the sender and receiver generated by the identity-based signature ***,data trading can be achieved only if the identities of the data sender and receiver simultaneously meet the policies specified by each *** demonstrate efficiency,we evaluate the performance of the proposed protocol and compare it with existing studies.

BACKGROUND Stem cell transplantation is a promising therapeutic option for curing perianal fistula in Crohn’s disease(CD).Anti-tumor necrotic factor(TNF)therapy combined with drainage procedure is effective as ***,previous studies are limited to proving whether the combination treatment of biologics and stem cell transplantation improves the effect of fistula *** This study aimed to evaluate the long-term outcomes of stem cell transplantation and compare Crohn’s perianal fistula(CPF)closure rates after stem cell transplantation with and without anti-TNF therapy,and to identify the factors affecting CPF closure and *** The patients with CD who underwent stem cell transplantation for treating perianal fistula in our institution between jun 2014 and December 2022 were *** data were compared according to anti-TNF therapy and CPF *** A total of 65 patients were *** median age of females was 26 years(range:21-31)and that of males was 29(44.6%).The mean follow-up duration was 65.88±32.65 months,and complete closure was observed in 50(76.9%)*** closure rates were similar after stem cell transplantation with and without anti-TNF therapy(66.7%vs 81.6%at 3 year,P=0.098).The patients with fistula closure had short fistulous tract and infrequent proctitis and anorectal stricture(P=0.027,0.002,and 0.008,respectively).Clinical factors such as complexity,number of fistulas,presence of concurrent abscess,and medication were not significant for *** cumulative 1-,2-,and 3-year closure rates were 66.2%,73.8%,and 75.4%,*** Anti-TNF therapy does not increase CPF closure rates in patients with stem cell ***,both refractory and non-refractory CPF have similar closure rates after additional anti-TNF *** tract length,proctitis,and anal stricture are risk factors for non-closure in patients with CPF after stem cell transplantation.

The revolutionary development of machine learning(ML),data science,and analytics,coupled with its application in material science,stands as a significant milestone of the scientific community over the last *** active,stable,and cost-efficient catalysts is crucial for oxygen evolution reaction owing to the significance in a range of electrochemical energy co nversion *** this work,we have demonstrated an efficient approach of high-throughput screening to find stable transition metal oxides under acid condition for high-performance oxygen evolution reaction(OER)catalysts through density functional theory(DFT)calculation and a machine learning algorithm.A methodology utilizing both the Materials Project database and DFT calculations was introduced to assess the acid stability under specific reaction *** upon this,OER catalytic activity of acid-stable materials was examined,highlighting potential OER catalysts that meet the required *** identified IrO_(2),Fe(SbO_(3))_(2),Co(SbO_(3))_(2),Ni(SbO_(3))_(2),FeSbO_(4),Fe(SbO_(3))4,MoWO_(6),TiSnO_(4),CoSbO_(4),and Ti(WO_(4))_(2)as promising catalysts,several of which have already been experimentally discovered for their robust OER performance,while others are novel for experimental exploration,thereby broadening the chemical scope for efficient OER *** of the bond length of TM-O and the first ionization energy were used to unveil the OER activity *** the calculated results,guidance has been derived to effectively execute advanced high-throughput screenings for the discovery of catalysts with favorable ***,the intrinsic correlation between catalytic performance and various atomic and structural factors was elucidated using the ML *** these approaches,we not only streamline the choice of the promising electrocatalysts but also offer insights for the design of varied catalyst models and the discovery of superior c

Nonlinear intersubband polaritonic metasurfaces,which integrate giant nonlinear responses derived from intersubband transitions of multiple quantum wells(MQWs)with plasmonic nanoresonators,not only facilitate efficient frequency conversion at pump intensities on the order of few tens of kW cm^(-2)but also enable electrical modulation of nonlinear responses at the individual meta-atom level and dynamic beam *** electrical modulation characteristics of the magnitude and phase of the nonlinear optical response are realized through Stark tuning of the resonant intersubband *** this study,we report,for the first time,experimental implementations of electrical modulation characteristics of mid-infrared third-harmonic generation(THG)using an intersubband polaritonic metasurface based on MQW with electrically tunable third-order nonlinear ***,we achieved a 450%modulation depth of the THG signal,86%suppression of zero-order THG diffraction tuning based on local phase tuning exceeding 180 degrees,and THG beam steering using phase *** work proposes a new route for electrically tunable flat nonlinear optical elements with versatile functionalities.

We present an azimuthal-rotation-controlled dynamic nanoinscribing(ARC-DNI)process for continuous and scalable fabrication of asymmetric nanograting structures with tunable periods and shape profiles.A sliced edge of a nanograting mold,which typically has a rectangular grating profile,slides over a polymeric substrate to induce its burrfree plastic deformation into a linear *** this continuous nanoinscribing process,the“azimuthal angle,”that is,the angle between the moving direction of the polymeric substrate and the mold’s grating line orientation,can be controlled to tailor the period,geometrical shape,and profile of the inscribed *** modulating the azimuthal angle,along with other important ARC-DNI parameters such as temperature,force,and inscribing speed,we demonstrate that the mold-opening profile and temperature-and time-dependent viscoelastic polymer reflow can be controlled to fabricate asymmetric,blazed,and slanted nanogratings that have diverse geometrical profiles such as trapezoidal,triangular,and ***,period-and profile-tunable ARC-DNI can be utilized for the practical fabrication of diverse optical devices,as is exemplified by asymmetric diffractive optical elements in this study.

Quaternary intraplate magmatism formed several volcanic islands and seamounts,including Dokdo(DD),Ulleungdo(UD),Simheungtack(ST),Anyongbok,and Isabu in the southwest of the East Sea back-arc *** this study,we present whole-rock geochemical,zircon U–Pb age,and in situ O–Hf isotope data for the submerged volcanic rocks from DD,UD,and ST to provide new insights into the eruption timing of these volcanoes and constrain the magma evolution *** samples used in this study were trachytes and exhibited ferroan,alkalic,and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous *** showed light rare earth element(REE)-enriched patterns with(La/Yb)N ratios of 25.3–31.7 and mostly negative Eu anomalies in a chondrite-normalized REE *** addition,they were enriched in large-ion lithophile elements and high field strength elements;they exhibited positive Pb anomalies and strongly negative Ba,Sr,P,and Ti *** zircons yielded a weighted-mean 206Pb/238U age of 2.61,0.348–0.704,and 2.76–2.94 Ma for the DD,UD,and ST trachytes,*** zircons exhibited lowerδ^(18)O values than normal depleted mantle values,regardless of the crystallization age and spatial distribution of ***δ^(18)O values showed no correlation with U contents or Th/U ratios,indicating that the lowδ^(18)O signatures were of primary magmatic *** Hf isotopic compositions of the zircons were relatively heterogeneous but predominately characterized by positive eHf *** O–Hf mixing modeling revealed that low-δ^(18)O rocks with positive eHf values from the UD and ST volcanoes were derived from a hybrid source of recycled juvenile crustal materials with low-δ^(18)O and positive eHf signatures and an enriched mantle source with normalδ^(18)O and negative eHf *** juvenile oceanic crust in the source was likely metasomatized by seawater at high temperatures prior to *** contrast,the felsic magma that formed the DD volcanoes may have assimilated with regional

Background:In response to the need for research clearly demonstrating the net effect of smoking cessation on mental health status,considering the causal relationship between smoking cessation and changes in mental health status,this study was ***,this study aimed to examine the net effect of short-term smoking cessation on five specific mental health metrics and the overall mental health status ***:We used data from the first wave of the Korean Health Panel(KHP)Survey(2011–2013,2016–2018)and focused on men aged 19 years and older,to explore the effects of smoking *** compared mental health status before and after cessation among current non-smokers who had quit smoking and continuous *** ensured homogeneity between the two groups via inverse probability of treatment weighting(IPTW)and employed a difference-in-differences(DID)analysis to assess changes in mental health *** study controlled for factors that could influence mental health and explored the net effect of short-term smoking cessation through difference-in-differences model using multiple regression ***:The results showed that short-term smoking cessation significantly alleviated mental and physical stress(p<0.1),reduced experiences of frustration(p<0.01),and improved the overall mental health status score(p<0.1).Conclusion:Thus,these results highlight a meaningful link between positive health behavior changes,such as smoking cessation,and enhanced mental ***,the application of temporal variables further improved the understanding of the causal relationship between health behaviors and mental health.

Lignin is the most abundant aromatic natural polymer,and receiving great attention in replacing various petro-leum-based *** aim of this study is to investigate the feasibility of technical lignin as a polyol for the synthesis of non-isocyanate polyurethane(NIPU)adhesives to substitute current polyurethane(PU)adhesives that have been synthesized with toxic isocyanate and *** hardwood kraft lignin(C-HKL)was extracted from black liquor from a pulp mill followed by acetone fractionation to obtain acetone soluble-HKL(AS-HKL).Then,C-HKL,AS-HKL,and softwood sodium lignosulfonate(LS)were used for the synthesis of technical lignin-based NIPU adhesives through carbonation and polyamination and silane as a *** adhesion per-formance was determined for *** spectra showed the formation of urethane bonds and the reaction between lignin and *** NIPU adhesives prepared with C-HKL showed the highest adhesion strength among the three lignin-based NIPU *** the silane addition level increased,the adhesion strength of NIPU adhesives increased whereas formaldehyde emission decreased for all NIPU adhesives *** results indicate that NIPU adhesives based on technical kraft lignin have a great potential as polyol for the synth-esis of bio-based NIPU adhesives for wood bonding.
