The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn,Mn,and cu)from complexed amino acid minerals(ZMcAA)and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZMcGly)in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality,yolk mineral deposition,intestinal morphometry,and bone *** 78 to 98 weeks of age,400 White LSL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per *** were distributed in a 2×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn,Mn,and cu of ZMcAA or ZMcGly source at 2 levels:low(20,20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn,Mn,and cu,respectively)or high(40,40,and 7 mg/kg of Zn,Mn,and cu,respectively).The analysis of variance was performed,and in cases where differences were observed,the means were compared using Tukey?s test(Pce and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying *** fed ZMcAA had higher egg production(P=0.01),egg weight(P=0.02),egg mass(P=0.01),and lower feed conversion ratio(P=0.05)compared to those fed *** ZMcAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P=0.01),albumen weight(P=0.01),and eggshell thickness(Pcu(Pceived *** weight(P=0.04)and bone densitometry(PcAA *** the small intestine,ZMcAA resulted in longer villi(P=0.02)and shorter crypt depth(P=0.01)in the *** and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(PcAA exhibited superior performance,egg quality,deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk,and bone density compared to hens fed *** this study,older laying hens supplemented with ZMcAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.

目的在重症监护病房(IntensivecareUnit,IcU),护土难免会遇到需要限制治疗努力(limiting therapeutie efort,LTE)的患者,尽管多数护士还缺乏为这些临终患者及其家庭提供支持的准备。本综述旨在描述IcU护士在LTE中需要具备的能力。方法对2010年--2023年发表的文献进行综述。系统检索了5个数据库:Medline、Wiley Online Library、SciELO、ScienceDirect和Web of Science。使用关键评估项目工具西班牙语版(critical Appraisal Skills Programme in Spanish,cASPe)作为评判性阅读工具。使用牛津循证医学中心(center for Evidence-Based Medicine.,cEBM)评估工具确定证据级别和推荐强度。结果共纳入25篇文献。IcU护士LTE护理的能力包括对患者的直接护理、以家庭为中心的护理以及护士在团队中的作用。该综述确定了3个类别的能力:作为患者、家庭与跨学科团队之间维护者的能力,在LTE方面的决策能力,在患者生命末期治疗和护理干预的能力。结论IcU护士在LTE方面需要具备相应的能力,这对患者的生活质量死亡尊严以及患者家庭应对悲伤的全面支持至关重要。

cutting-edge technologies are extremely useful to develop new workflows in studying ecological data,particularly to understand animal behavior and movement trajectories at the individual *** parental care is a well-studied phenomenon,most studies have been focused on direct observational or video recording data,as well as experimental ***,what happens out of our sight still remains *** high-frequency GPS/GSM dataloggers and tri-axial accelerometers we monitored 25 Bonelli’s eagles Aquila fasciata during the breeding season to understand parental activities from a broader *** used recursive data,measured as number of visits and residence time,to reveal nest attendance patterns of biparental care with role specialization between *** data interpreted as the overall dynamic body acceleration,a proxy of energy expenditure,showed strong differences in parental effort throughout the breeding season and between ***,males increased substantially their energetic requirements,due to the increased workload,while females spent most of the time on the ***,during critical phases of the breeding season,a low percentage of suitable hunting spots in eagles’territories led them to increase their ranging behavior in order to find food,with important consequences in energy consumption and mortality *** results highlight the crucial role of males in raptor species exhibiting biparental ***,we exemplify how biologging technologies are an adequate and objective method to study parental care in raptors as well as to get deeper insight into breeding ecology of birds in general.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Effects on physiologic measures of appetite from intragastric balloon and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty: results of a prospective study

Background: Endoscopic bariatric therapies can help address widening management gaps in obesity. Their ability to facilitate weight loss is largely tied to influences on appetite through perturbations of gastric emptying and accommodation. As these tools gain traction in obesity therapy, their physiologic underpinnings require exploration, which may enhance efficacy, tolerance, and patient-tailored ***: We prospectively assessed consecutive subjects with fluid-filled intragastric balloons (IGBs) (n = 18) placed between October 2016 and june 2017 or underwent endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) (n = 23) from March 2018 to june 2018. Patients underwent physiologic appraisal at 3 months with13c-spirulina-based gastric emptying breath test to determine time to half emptying (T50), as well as maximum tolerated volume (MTV) of a standard nutrient drink test. changes in T50 and MTV at 3 months were compared with percent total body weight loss (%TBWL) at 3 and 6 months using best-fit linear ***: The change in T50 at 3 months correlated with %TBWL at 3 months for IGB (P = 0.01) and ESG (P = 0.01) but with greater impact on %TBWL in IGB compared to ESG (R2 = 0.42vs. 0.26). change in T50 at 3 months was predictive of weight loss at 6 months for IGB (P = 0.01) but not ESG (P = 0.11). ESG was associated with greater decrease in MTV compared to IGB (340.25 ± 297.97 mLvs. 183.00 ± 217.13 mL,P = 0.08), indicting an enhanced effect on satiation through decreased gastric accommodation. changes in MTV at 3 months did not correlate with %TBWL for either IGB (P = 0.26) or ESG (P = 0.49) but trended toward significance for predicting %TBWL at 6 months for ESG (P = 0.06) but not IGB (P = 0.19).conclusion: IGB and ESG both induce weight loss but likely through distinct gastric motor function phenotypes, and gastric emptying may predict future weight loss in patients with IGB.

The coarsening behavior of four quench-aged Fe-Ni-AI alloys with different Ni and Al con tents is *** alloys were solubilized at 1100℃for 24 h,water-quenched and aged at 850℃for periods ranging from 1 to 100 h to promote phase separation and *** two alloys with the highest combined Ni and Al contents(>35 at.%)showed signs of spinodal decomposition,while the alloys with lower Ni and Al contents followed a classical nucleation *** Ni and Al contents promoted an increase in NiAl(β′)phase fraction in concordance with phase equilibrium *** alloy with the highest[3'fraction presented a completely interconnected *** coarsening ofβ′particles in the other three alloys followed the predictions of the Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner(LSW)*** general trend was an increase in the coarsening kinetics with higher Ni and Al *** highest hardness was found in the alloys with higher fraction albeit these compositions are less resistant to coarsening and have been reported to present a low room-temperature ductility.

Members of the Botryosphaeriaceae are well known fungi associated with dieback,canker and fruit rot on various hosts worldwide,including *** aim of this study was identify a large collection of Botryosphaeriaceae species associated with dieback and stem-end rot of mango in the semi-arid region of Northeastern Brazil,and compare the species in relation to mycelial growth,pathogenicity and virulence.A total of 115 isolates were sampled and based on morphology and DNA sequence data(ITS and EF1-α)seven taxa were identified,namely,Botryosphaeria dothidea,***,Fusicoccum fabicercianum,Neofusicoccum parvum,*** ***,Neoscytalidium dimidiatum and Pseudofusicoccum *** and *** were the most commonly isolated species,which represented 37%and 33%of all isolates *** is reported for the first time in association with mango diseases *** were significant differences among the species obtained in this study in relation to optimum temperature for mycelial growth and mycelial growth *** species were pathogenic on mango *** were significant differences in virulence among the species,with *** and *** being the most virulent species,while *** was the least virulent.

The aim of this study was to analyse air exchange and temperature distribution in a greenhouse with combined mechanical and natural ventilation and to design more efficient mechanical ventilation *** this purpose,a computational fluid dynamics(cFD)model of the greenhouse was *** configurations were considered:configuration 1(mechanical ventilation and closed roof ventilators),configurations 2 and 3(mechanical ventilation and roof ventilators open 30%and 100%,respectively).After validation,the cFD model was used to improve the design of the greenhouse mechanical ventilation system in each of the three configurations *** greenhouse lengths,28 m,50 m,75 m and 100 m,were used in the *** to fan ventilation only,roof ventilation improved the climate of fan-ventilated greenhouses in terms of the air exchange rate(22%)and climate uniformity because the internal air was mixed better than with mechanical ventilation *** the greenhouse length increased,more advantages were achieved with natural ventilation compared to mechanical *** most configurations,there was a strong linear correlation between temperature gradient and greenhouse *** greenhouse whose regression line had the steepest slope was the one with closed roof *** the fan capacity produced a general reduction in temperature,but the effect was less intense for the greenhouses with open roof *** to box inlet ventilators,an enlarged continuous inlet in the wall opposite the fans increased overall system performance because it eliminated backflow recirculation zones,which are prone to produce high temperatures.
