Over the past few decades,wireless sensor networks have been widely used in the field of structure health monitoring of civil,mechanical,and aerospace ***,most wireless sensor networks are battery-powered and it is costly and unsustainable for maintenance because of the requirement for frequent battery *** an attempt to address such issue,this article theoretically and experimentally studies a compression-based piezoelectric energy harvester using a multilayer stack configuration,which is suitable for civil infrastructure system applications where large compressive loads occur,such as heavily vehicular loading acting on *** this article,we firstly present analytical and numerical modeling of the piezoelectric multilayer stack under axial compressive loading,which is based on the linear theory of piezoelectricity.A two-degree-of-freedom electromechanical model,considering both the mechanical and electrical aspects of the proposed harvester,was developed to characterize the harvested electrical power under the external electrical *** closed-form expressions of the electromechanical models have been derived to analyze the mechanical and electrical properties of the proposed *** theoretical analyses are validated through several experiments for a test prototype under harmonic *** test results exhibit very good agreement with the analytical analyses and numerical simulations for a range of resistive loads and input excitation levels.

＜正＞Water and its solutions are subjects of intensive study in past decades. The importance of these studies is not only due to our scientific curiosity to a range of abnormal properties of water, which distinguish it from other liquids and fascinate scientists, but also due to the fact that water plays a most important role in living systems and it is the key to our existence and survival on this planet. The increase of research activity of search water in the solar system by NASA has stimulated more demand of better understanding of the basic properties of water, including its anomalies.

In the practical environment,it is very common for the simultaneous occurrence of base excitation and *** the combined energy of vibration and wind with a single energy harvesting structure is *** this purpose,the effects of the wind speed and random excitation level are investigated with the stochastic averaging method(SAM)based on the energy *** results of the analytical prediction are verified with the Monte-carlo method(McM).The numerical simulation shows that the introduction of wind can reduce the critical excitation level for triggering an inter-well jump and make a bi-stable energy harvester(BEH)realize the performance enhancement for a weak base ***,as the strength of the wind increases to a particular level,the influence of the random base excitation on the dynamic responses is weakened,and the system exhibits a periodic galloping response.A comparison between a BEH and a linear energy harvester(LEH)indicates that the BEH demonstrates inferior performance for high-speed *** experiments are conducted to investigate the validity of the theoretical prediction and numerical *** experimental findings also show that strong random excitation is favorable for the BEH in the range of low wind ***,as the speed of the incoming wind is up to a particular level,the disadvantage of the BEH becomes clear and evident.

Precise genome-editing platforms are versatile tools for generating specific,site-directed DNA insertions,deletions,and *** continuous enhancement of these tools has led to a revolution in the life sciences,which promises to deliver novel therapies for genetic *** genome-editing can be traced back to the 1950s with the discovery of DNA’s doublehelix and,after 70 years of development,has evolved from crude in vitro applications to a wide range of sophisticated capabilities,including in vivo ***,precise genome-editing faces constraints such as modest efficiency,delivery challenges,and off-target *** this review,we explore precise genome-editing,with a focus on introduction of the landmark events in its history,various platforms,delivery systems,and ***,we discuss the landmark events in the history of precise ***,we describe the current state of precise genome-editing strategies and explain how these techniques offer unprecedented precision and versatility for modifying the human ***,we introduce the current delivery systems used to deploy precise genome-editing components through DNA,RNA,and ***,we summarize the current applications of precise genome-editing in labeling endogenous genes,screening genetic variants,molecular recording,generating disease models,and gene therapy,including ex vivo therapy and in vivo therapy,and discuss potential future advances.

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly *** outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is ce-based conversion(ce)*** FG sheets can be homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier *** ce film connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of galvanic coupling *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of Mg alloys.
