A new tetracyclic triterpenoid from endophytic fungus Fusarium sporotrichioides

Objective: To isolate bioactive compounds from the endophytic fungus Fusarium sporotrichioides isolated from Rauwolfia yunnanensis, and investigate their pharmacological ***: The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by combining with ODS column chromatography, silica gel column chromatography and by performing semipreparative HPLC. Their structures were established on the basis of 1D NMR(1H-NMR and13C-NMR) and 2D NMR(1H–1H COSY,HSQC, HMbC and NOESY), as well as HRESIMS and comparison with literature data. In addition, the absolute configuration of compound 1 was determined by calculated ECD ***: One previously undescribed tetracyclic triterpenoid derivative, named as integracide L(1), 12aacetoxy-4,4-dimethyl-24-methylene-5a-cholesta-8,14-diene-2a,3β,11β-triol(2), 12a-acetoxy-4,4-dime thyl-24-methylene-5a-cholesta-8-momoene-2a,3β,11β-triol(3), 12a-acetoxy-4,4-dimethyl-24-methy lene-5a-cholesta-8,14-diene-3β,11β-triol(4), and 12a-acetoxy-4,4-dimethyl-24-methylene-5acholesta-8-momoene-3β,11β-triol(5) were isolated from F. sporotrichioide. Moreover, compound 1 was rare tetracyclic triterpenoid with single methyl replacement at C-4 ***: Compound 1 was a new tetracyclic triterpenoid isolated from the endophytic fungus ***. In addition, compound 2 could inhibit the growth of three different human cancer cells significantly. Compounds 3 and 5 were found to possess better cytotoxic activities on Hep G-2 cells than the other compounds, with IC50values of(2.8 ± 0.1) and(6.3 ± 0.3) μmol/L respectively.

Creep-induced redistribution of alloying elements in CZ1 zirconium alloys

Introducing minor alloying elements is an effective strategy to improve the corrosion and mechanical properties of zirconium alloys for nuclear *** in-reactor service,external environment and stress can affect the distribution of alloying elements,substantially changing the degradation process of zirconium *** date,there is a lack of in-depth understanding of the interaction between creep and microchemistry ***,we conducted systematic transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and atom probe tomography(APT)investigations to address creep-induced redistribution of alloying elements in CZ1(Zr-Sn-Nb-Fe-Cr-Cu)zirconium alloy with different initial ***,Fe,Sn,and Cu are found to co-segregate at grain *** higher the intermediate annealing temperature,the larger the Gibbsian interfacial excesses of solute elements *** further demonstrate that creep can reduce the excess value of Fe at grain boundaries due to the coarsening of Zr-Fe-Cr second phase particles via grain boundary and dislocation pipe *** the same time,the excess value of Sn is increased by diffusing from the matrix to grain ***,Cu as a minor element in the concentration range of 0.05-0.3 wt.%is found to segregate at dislocations to form the Cottrell atmosphere and develop Cu-rich nanoclusters for suppressing dislocation *** new understanding of the segregation and clustering of minor alloying elements provides guidance for developing zirconium alloys with enhanced creep resistance.

Drug loading capacity is very important in the construction of targeted drug delivery systems(TDDSs)for the improvement of drug delivery ***,the drug-loading capacity of most nanomaterials is non-idealistic,and developing the high drug-loading TDDSs is still a critical *** this work,an ultrahigh loading system(denoted as HMPb_(2))was prepared via j-aggregation of an aza-boron dipyrromethene derivative(bod)by using hollow MnO_(2)modified with glucosamine pillar[5]arene as a carrier,which was demonstrated to have typical j-aggregate absorption of bod,specific cancer cells targeting ability,negligible dark cytotoxicity,and potent *** work provides a successful example to construct an ultrahigh drug-loading system via j-aggregation for targeted delivery.

Invariant natural killer T(iNKT)cells are part of the family of unconventional T cells,and they recognize glycolipid antigens presented on the MHC class I like molecule CD1^([1]).In humans there are five CD1 molecules named CD1a to CD1e,whereas mice use only CD1d for lipid ***,iNKT cells can elicit both cytotoxicity similarly to conventional CD8 T cells and secrete cytokines that influence the adaptive immune response including providing direct T cell help to b cells^([2]).In the context of tumors,they can use both release of granzyme b and use Fas-mediated mechanisms for killing of tumor *** iNKT cells use a restricted TCR repertoire and CD1 molecules are non-heterogenous the risk of graft vs host disease is limited and thus these T cells have been an attractive option for off the shelf immunotherapy to treat cancer^([3]).

Greatly enhanced corrosion/wear resistances of epoxy coating for Mg alloy through a synergistic effect between functionalized graphene and insulated blocking layer

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly *** outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can be homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier *** Ce film connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of galvanic coupling *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of Mg alloys.
