Multi-model ensemble learning for battery state-of-health estimation:Recent advances and perspectives

The burgeoning market for lithium-ion batteries has stimulated a growing need for more reliable battery performance monitoring. Accurate state-of-health(SOH) estimation is critical for ensuring battery operational performance. Despite numerous data-driven methods reported in existing research for battery SOH estimation, these methods often exhibit inconsistent performance across different application scenarios. To address this issue and overcome the performance limitations of individual data-driven models,integrating multiple models for SOH estimation has received considerable attention. Ensemble learning(EL) typically leverages the strengths of multiple base models to achieve more robust and accurate outputs. However, the lack of a clear review of current research hinders the further development of ensemble methods in SOH estimation. Therefore, this paper comprehensively reviews multi-model ensemble learning methods for battery SOH estimation. First, existing ensemble methods are systematically categorized into 6 classes based on their combination strategies. Different realizations and underlying connections are meticulously analyzed for each category of EL methods, highlighting distinctions, innovations, and typical applications. Subsequently, these ensemble methods are comprehensively compared in terms of base models, combination strategies, and publication trends. Evaluations across 6 dimensions underscore the outstanding performance of stacking-based ensemble methods. Following this, these ensemble methods are further inspected from the perspectives of weighted ensemble and diversity, aiming to inspire potential approaches for enhancing ensemble performance. Moreover, addressing challenges such as base model selection, measuring model robustness and uncertainty, and interpretability of ensemble models in practical applications is emphasized. Flexible molecules dedicate to release strain of inverted inorganic perovskite solar cell

The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IPSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated Pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CsPbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （PCE） of NiOxbased inverted IPSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

A study was conducted in the forest-steppe region of the Loess Plateau to provide insight into the factors affecting the process of vegetation establishment,and to provide recommendations for the selection of indigenous species in order to speed up the succession process and to allow the establishment of vegetation more resistant to soil *** distinctive vegetation types were identified,and their distribution was affected not only by the time since abandonment but also by other environmental factors,mainly soil water and total P in the upper soil *** of the vegetation types,dominated by Artemisia scoparia,formed the early successional stage after abandonment while the other three types formed later successional stages with their distribution determined by the soil water content and total *** can be concluded that the selection of appropriate species for introduction to accelerate succession should be determined by the local conditions and especially the total P concentration and soil water content.

Storage capacity model for cloud download

With the rise and world wide deployment of cloud utilities, the principle of the cloud download is proposed to provide high-quality file content distribution by using dedicated servers as cloud cache to guarantee the data availability and enhance the data transfer rate. As the system scales up to a large population, how to design appropriate storage capacity of cloud cache is a key challenge for cloud download. In this paper, primary elements impacting on storage capacity are explored through deliberating in large-scale commercial cloud download system, i.e. general user usage pattern and available period. And based on statistical analysis of real-world traces, we formulate storage capacity related to these two elements, which is the original contribution different from all previous works. This model gives guidance of potential system policy design. Finally, the effectivity of this model is demonstrated by simulation results compared with empirical data of practical system.

Efficient complementary caching for ISP-aware networks

Internet service providers （ISPs） have taken some measures to reduce intolerable inter-lSP peer-to-peer （P2P） traffic costs, therefore user experiences of various P2P applications have been affected. The recently emerging offiine downloading service seeks to improve user experience by using dedicate servers to cache requested files and provide high-speed uploading. However, with rapid increase in user population, the server-side bandwidth resource of offline downloading system is expected to be insufficient in the near future. We propose a novel complementary caching scheme with the goal of mitigating inter-ISP traffic, alleviating the load on servers of Internet applications and enhancing user experience. Both architecture and caching algorithm are presented in this paper. On the one hand, with full knowledge of P2P file sharing system and offiine downloading service, the infrastructure of complementary caching is designed to conveniently be deployed and work together with existing platforms. The co-operational mechanisms among different maj.r components are also included. On the other hand, with in-depth understanding of traffic characteristics that are relevant to caching, we develop complementary caching algorithm with respect to the density of requests, the redundancy of file and file size. Since such relevant information can be real-time captured in our design, the proposed policy can be implemented to guide the storage and replacement of caching unities, Based on real-world traces over 3 months, we demonstrate that the complementary caching scheme is capable to achieve the ＇three-win＇ obj.ctive. That is, for l＇2P downloading, over 50% of traffic is redirected to cache; for offline downloading, the average server-dependence of tasks drops from 0.71 to 0.32; for user experience, the average P2P transfer rate is increased by more than 50 KB/s.

SDE decomposition and A-type stochastic interpretation in nonequilibrium processes

An innovative theoretical framework for stochastic dynamics based on the decomposition of a stochas- tic differential equation （SDE） into a dissipative component, a detailed-balance-breaking component, and a dual-role potential landscape has been developed, which has fruitful applications in physics, engineering, chemistry, and biology. It introduces the A-type stochastic interpretation of the SDE beyond the traditional Ito or Stratonovich interpretation or even the a-type interpretation for multi- dimensional systems. The potential landscape serves as a Hmniltonian-like function in nonequilibrimn processes without detailed balance, which extends this important concept from equilibrium statistical physics to the nonequilibrium region. A question on the uniqueness of the SDE decomposition was recently raised. Our review of both the mathematical and physical aspects shows that uniqueness is guaranteed. The demonstration leads to a better understanding of the robustness of the novel frame- work. In addition, we discuss related issues including the limitations of an approach to obtaining the potential function from a steady-state distribution.

Multi boron-doping effects in hard carbon toward enhanced sodium ion storage

Hard carbon （HC） has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

A robust and transparent nanosilica-filled silicone rubber coating with synergistically enhanced mechanical properties and barrier performance

Implantable electronic devices(IEDs)are widely used by human beings to achieve medical treatment and diagnosis ***,ideal encapsulation of IEDs is still far from perfect as full prevention of body fluid diffusion into the coating remains ***,we develop a high-performance composite coating for IED encapsulation by introducing SiO_(2) nanoparticles into silicone rubber,which synergistically enhances mechanical properties and improves barrier *** fabricating composite coatings with different nanosilica contents,3%nanosilica is proved to be an optimal additive content with an excellent combination of improved fracture strength(from 2.5 MPa to 4.5 MPa),increased coating resistance(from 10^(4) to 10^(9) cm^(2))and ideal coating *** and electrochemical characterizations subsequently confirm substantially enhanced mechanical properties and barrier performance of the composite coating,which effectively resist crack propagation and impede penetrations of water and chloride ions through the *** calculations further uncover that modified SiO_(2) particles with enriched methyl groups endow a strong bridging effect to interact with silicone rubber monomer,which,together with anti-agglomeration property of methyl groups,contributes to a pronounced improvement in mechanical performance of nanosilica-filled silicone *** from the enhanced mechanical and barrier properties,the as-fabricated nanosilica-filled silicone rubber demonstrates superior protection for the encapsulated circuits with a significantly improved lifetime(709.1 h)compared to that of circuits coated by pure silicone rubber(472.8 h)and bare circuit boards(1 h),which offers great values for packaging material design in future IED encapsulation.

An Inverse Power Generation Mechanism Based Fruit Fly Algorithm for Function Optimization

As a novel population-based optimization algorithm, fruit fly optimization(FFO) algorithm is inspired by the foraging behavior of fruit flies and possesses the advantages of simple search operations and easy implementation. j.st like most population-based evolutionary algorithms, the basic FFO also suffers from being trapped in local optima for function optimization due to premature *** this paper, an improved FFO, named IPGS-FFO, is proposed in which two novel strategies are incorporated into the conventional FFO. Specifically, a smell sensitivity parameter together with an inverse power generation mechanism(IPGS) is introduced to enhance local exploitation. Moreover,a dynamic shrinking search radius strategy is incorporated so as to enhance the global exploration over search space by adaptively adj.sting the searching area in the problem domain. The statistical performance of FFO, the proposed IPGS-FFO, three state-of-the-art FFO variants, and six metaheuristics are tested on twenty-six well-known unimodal and multimodal benchmark functions with dimension 30, respectively. Experimental results and comparisons show that the proposed IPGS-FFO achieves better performance than three FFO variants and competitive performance against six other meta-heuristics in terms of the solution accuracy and convergence rate.

A remark on Kac's scattering length formula
